Located directly on the white sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico. Sand Cay Beach Resort is a jewel on the luxurious island of Longboat Key, It’s tasteful architecture, pool and yard invite you for a perfect vacation whether you just want to relax, or are looking for great restaurants, shopping, kayaking, paddle, tennis, deep sea fishing, and cultural entertainment.
No street to cross to the gulf beach!
Beautiful 3rd floor 2BR/2BA unit #309, overlooking pool and ocean with easy elevator access. No noise from above to bother you!
South facing balcony with sunshade and umbrella. Striking views of the ocean from the balcony, but you only pay the garden-view rate. Bright open kitchen, refrigerator with ice and filtered water dispenser.
Cathedral ceilings throughout. Master Bathroom with walk in shower. Free wireless internet and even a desk. Free washer and dryer on site.
Only steps to the heated pool, tennis court and shuffleboard. Barbecue places are located close to the beach.

Bayfront Park has kayak rentals and courts etc. There are bike rental places and that is always fun. Publix delivers groceries. And restaurants within walking distance are Zota (next door and great sunset spot), Harry’s, Lazy Lobster, Euphemia Haye, and La Norma. Some other favorites are Shore, Mar Vista and Dry Dock and several others on the island. St Armand’s circle is a short drive off the island for shopping and restaurants.

The resort has direct access to the wonderful white sandy beach of the Gulf of Mexico with plenty of beach chairs. Soft access into the gulf, or walk on the beach for up to 12 miles watching birds or dolphins passing by.
Several town parks with nature walks on Longboat Key, the Mote Marine Aquarium with cruises in the Sarasota Bay and attractions for children, St. Armand´s Circle with exclusive shopping and dining. It is a short drive to downtown Sarasota with museums (Ringling museum, Classic Car Museum), Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, a wonderful botanical garden and many more interesting attractions, shops and restaurants.
30-45 minutes to Myakka River State Park
In St. Petersburg and Tampa (about 60-75min to drive) you find famous attractions like Busch Gardens, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Salvador Dali Museum.

We had such a great time at the Sand Cay Resort. We loved the condo where we stayed - had everything we needed! Also the property had a pool and tennis court which we used every day and we loved being right on the beach.

The whole property exceeded our expectations for cleanliness, amenities, and easy access to the beach with chairs and towels provided. Also a quick drive to St. Armands Circle for dining and shopping.

Nice green space, trees and wildlife in the garden area which made it refreshing when looking out into ocean area. We didn’t spend much time at the pool but the beach was so nice. Condo comfortable and felt like home.

Jeff and I are happy owners of Unit #309. We live in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and have two daughters. In a few years we look forward to spending more time at Sand Cay and enjoying this slice of paradise that we love to share.

Why they chose this property

We have vacationed at Sand Cay Beach Resort for many years. Jeff's parents owned #217 during the 1990's and early 2000's. We loved experiencing all the Longboat Key and Sarasota and surrounding areas have to offer.

What makes this property unique

Sand Cay Beach Resort is located right on the beach. No streets to cross or long walks. And the benefit of our condo is you pay for Garden view but the view from the dining table and balcony on the 3rd floor actually has a view of the ocean! It gets great reviews so plan your trip in our unit #309 today!
