We had a great time at the cabin. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed paddling in the provided kayaks. The cabin was a restful retreat while we explored the beautiful area. We had everything we needed.

Cabin had everything we needed and ice location away from town. Kerry was helpful and a great host. Quiet lake that was great for kayaking. Close enough to parks, beaches, and town to be able to do everything we wanted.
This cabin is exactly what we were looking for!
Small and cozy on the water
This cabin had everything we needed and more .
Our hosts were next door and available if we needed anything but gave us privacy as well. We would definitely stay again

My mom and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. Kerry helped us build a bonfire one night. Both Kerry and his wife were friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words - we enjoyed having you!
We really enjoyed our way too brief of a stay. The cabin is wonderfully restored to its classic rustiness. We regret not planning more time to enjoy the lake and the woods. We loved it.
Karry was great to work with as well

The location of this cabin is truly excellent: situated right on lake! We saw beautiful sunrises and, at night, we loved the dark skies and stars that we never get to see in the city. One drawback, at least for older people, are the steps in the bathroom. We understand that installing plumbing in a rustic cabin required the steps. But they proved more challenging for us (we are in our late 70s) than we had anticipated.
Great location on 16-Mile Lake, and Kerry is an awesome host. The cabin was very clean and adequately equipped. The bedroom is small but functional. The only suggestion I would have is that it needs more window screens as there were only 2, and that was not adequate to fully cool and ventilate the unit as it was a bit hot when we were there, and keep all the flies out. Overall a good value.

Thank you for the kind words. As for the screens there are at least 6 total. Per the cabin information posted on the refrigerator, the others were under the couch. Going forward we will place them all under windows for convenience when cabin information is not fully read. We enjoyed having you!!!
Kerry and his wife were the most welcoming people. Da Cabin is very well maintained and fully stocked in a very relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed our chats with Kerry and his family...and left feeling like family. Having kayaks to explore 16 Mile Lake during the day, delicious homemade rhubarb cake shared with us and stargazing around the bonfire at night added to the perfect getaway for us.
We will be back again, no “butts” about it ;)
A huge thank you to Kerry and his wife for making this a memorable weekend for us.

We enjoyed staying at Da Cabin! Had a little adventure coming in because the GPS in our truck took us on a ATV 2 track at 10pm. But we made it! Lol The cabin was so cozy! Kerry had the place so warm for our late night arrival, he even kept the fire going for us throughout the whole next day, due to us exploring Munising. Kerry was an excellent host! He made sure everything was perfect for
our stay. Even let me borrow a hairdryer!
Top notch service at this cabin!!! We would love to come stay again!
