Host profile image
I'm a retired Navy veteran who moved here in 2021 to enjoy the natural beauty, fresh air and wildlife. After five and a half years here full-time, it was time to pack my bags again for my next mission.

Why they chose this property

When I retired in 2021, I took a three-month road trip through more than 20 of my favorite states. I set out to experience the beauty and natural wonders of America in a way I never had time to for before, while also looking for my dream home, ideally a cabin in the wilderness. Long story short, as soon as I crossed the border into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, I knew this was the place for me. It’s a lesser-known natural wonder, still something of a hidden gem. I was immediately struck by the beauty and tranquility of the forests, the countless inland lakes, and the waterfalls.
