About this property

2BD 2BA Private, Cozy Log Cabin with Amazing Mountain Views, Hot Tub, & Swing.

Located atop Bluff Mountain overlooking Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, Reed's Retreat is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. This beautiful cabin has amazing views that will take your breath away. You will feel like you can touch the heavens as you gaze out over long range views of the Smokies from your wrap around deck. Beautifully furnished, comfortable, and updated, you will feel right at home. Snuggle by the wood burning fireplace or roast marshmallows by the fire pit beneath the stars. Enjoy the beauty by relaxing in your hot tub after a day of exploring. At night, the view allows you to see the lights of Pigeon Forge sparkling in the distance!

*4 WHEEL DRIVE AND TRAVEL INSURANCE ARE RECOMMENDED DURING WINTER MONTHS.
Mountain roads can become hazardous or impassable in snow and ice.

Reed's Retreat can comfortably sleep 6 guests. The cabin has a bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and a bathroom across the hall. There are 2 sides to the loft, 1 side has a Foosball table, the other side has a king bedroom with a bathroom. The cabin is easily accessible with only three steps to the front door. Conveniently located off Wears Valley Road, only 5 miles from Pigeon Forge, the cabin offers the best of both worlds: secluded yet convenient to attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Reed’s Retreat is perfect for a family vacation, honeymoon, anniversary, or couple’s getaway.

BE SAFE - The last 1/4 mile to cabin is a steep, curvy, one lane road, paved private road. Normally a 2-wheel drive is sufficient but inclement weather requires a 4 wheel/all-wheel drive. In the winter we highly recommend travel insurance in case mountain roads are impassable due to snow or ice.

BE AWARE - You are in Bear Country, do not feed bears or leave food in cars. Lock the car door.
BRING YOUR OWN - Charcoal & Firewood
NO PETS - $300 fine and asked to leave
KEEP IN TOUCH - If you have any problem let us know while you are there, we will try our best to solve it.
Limit 6 Guests maximum, including children, if exceed the fine is $100 per guest.
Motorcycles and trailers are not recommended or safe.

Nearby Things to Do: Dollywood, Splash Mountain, and the legendary Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show are all great ways to spend your vacation. You can also explore the Smokey Mountain National Park and Cades Cove with day hikes, horseback tours, and zipline adventures. In nearby Gatlinburg, about a 30-minute drive, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, and the quaint Arts and Crafts Community await!
The Trillium Venue located on Bluff Mountain is only 2 miles from the cabin.

Outstanding View!

My wife and I chose Reed's Retreat for our 1-year anniversary and so glad we did! The cabin was at the end of the lane so no traffic was passing by, and the view was AMAZING!!. The cabin is a short drive to a gas station, a pizza place, and a Dollar General market, and you can be in Pigeon Forge or Sevierville in just a few more minutes. Just know the road to the cabin (although paved) is steep in a couple spots so you'll need to take it slow and make sure your brakes are good. LOL But after a time or two of navigating it, the drive is a breeze and SO worth it! I would book again in a heartbeat. A

Beautiful View

The cabin was clean and cozy. Perfect for 4 people. The views off of the wrap around deck were gorgeous. My only concern was the drive up to the cabin. There are about 3-4 REALLY STEEP, narrow roads. You definitely need a vehicle with power to get there.

Perfectly Serene

My friends and I visited Reeds Retreat for a quiet, relaxing weekend away and we were blown away by this cabin! It met all of our expectations and was exactly as described in the online listing! The view overlooking the mountains and city life was immaculate and relaxing in the hot tub at night with the city lights below us was so peaceful. We will definitely be visiting this cabin again!

Spectacular view

The view was great. The cabin was nice. The cabin was clean. The only cons was the beds were very firm, and the toilet sat very low to the ground for older people like me and my wife. There’s an also an issue with the Beatles or ladybugs whatever they’re called. Directions directions could use some mileage points Bluff Road sign was gone. We passed it up and had to go back and look for it. Not a big issue but would be helpful if we had estimated mileage between terms.

Best view we’ve ever had!!!

This property was amazing and the view is unbeatable. Pictures truly do not do it justice. There is a view in every direction from the front porch. Hot tub was amazing and the cabin plenty of room for us 5. The host was amazing and even though the snow cut our trip a bit short, the host was very informative and immediately offered us the chance to leave a day early with a refund to ensure our safety getting home. The only complaint I have is the drive to the cabin, but this is something that can’t really be fixed. It should be noted before going, however, that the last 3 roads to the cabin are very, very slim. My husband has an F250 and it was very difficult for us to get up and down without a few moments of panic. I recommend a smaller 4 wheel drive vehicle to ensure your safety and possibly sanity. With that said, the view was worth our few moments of stress to get there. Lastly, we did run into a few lady bugs inside so maybe this is something that could be avoided in the future. We would definitely stay here again for the view and the amazing host, just with a smaller vehicle next time.

Legit Mountain Cabin

If you are looking for a legit top of the mountain cabin with amazing views, this is it! The views right off the balcony are unbelievable. I could spend hours on the porch just looking at the mountains. Host is phenomenal and very responsive. Driving up the mountain is a little scary the first time but well worth it. You will not be disappointed.

Great again!

This was our second time to the cabin. The view cannot be beat. The price cannot be beat. Whenever we plan a trip to the smokys we see if this cabin is available first, the only reason we stay anywhere else is if we have more than 6 people coming. The bed Upstairs was updated since we last came and were grateful! The kiddo loves the foosball table, and the view from the hot tub, THE VIEW FROM THE HOT TUB is unparalleled. My Very small, incredibly nit picky suggestion is to somehow raise the hot tub so I don’t have to look through the porch fence. (Easier said than done, I know!) All wheel drive will make the exciting drive to the cabin easier too. If you have AWD and a need for vista/valley views. You can’t go wrong here. And the Christmas decorations were excellent

Our new favorite!

We loved this cabin and it is now our new favorite. The view was incredible as was the privacy. It was clean, well stocked and the bed was so comfortable. We’ll definitely be booking again next time we come to Tennessee. Only wish it could sleep 7 so we could book it when we bring everyone else. 🙂 My favorite thing is the swing out front to just relax and enjoy the view (hot tub was great, too). Next time we’ll set aside a full day to do nothing but hang out for the day and just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Always Enjoy Our Stay

We love this cabin! If you want privacy and tranquility this is the place. The views are outstanding and the cabin is so cozy. Is this a 5-stay resort - no, is this a 5-star cabin in the woods - YES!! Comfy beds, well stocked cabin, nice size hot tube that works, and views that can NOT be beat. You will not regret staying here. See you again next year!

Amazing views

Since the cabin is up the mountain I tried to come prepared with the basics like laundry detergent, dishwasher fluid, and obviously our groceries. We found detergent and dishwasher fluid was provided. There was a few things we still had to buy once we got there, like coffee filters for the mini machine and room spray for the bathrooms. We did bring an xbox to connect to the wifi and watch our shows & movies while there. The view alone is 5 stars!! I would have spent every second outside enjoying it, but we had a cold front. That's okay because there is still amazing views from inside, all cozied up. It really was such a great time and we are so happy with where we stayed. This was our first time coming to this area to vacation, & we were surprised it was so close to everything! Kroger is literally right down the road about 10 minutes All in all, we would definitely stay again!!

Views are amazing

Our recent August 2024 stay was great. Listing is accurate and the views were so amazing! We definitely didn’t mind coming back to the cabin early and just hanging out on the deck and soak up all the beauty. Getting there the roads are really steep just be prepared for that. We couldn’t find the cabin right away the first day (in the daylight) as there was a sign that said “Angels Nest” down the road which was the old name of the cabin…that should be take down, that was confusing. Otherwise it was great! King bed was great in the loft! Would definitely stay here again!

Breathtaking view

We stayed here with our three kids ages 7,6, & 3 and it was perfect. The view is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was great and there was plenty of room for all of us. The drive was only scary the first time because we didn’t know exactly what to expect and the hills are steep, but it was no problem after the first time. The one way road was no issue either. I would definitely book this cabin again.

Why they chose this property

Reed's Retreat was purchased because it was next door to our other cabin, Oliver's Overlook and we loved the view from the cabin. We wanted to be able to provide large families with the choice of staying in 2 cabins beside each other.
