Welcome to Getaway Oceanfront Lodging, located in Rockaway Beach! This beautiful top-floor condo features two bedrooms and one bath with a gorgeous 180-degree oceanfront view! You'll have room for up to four guests at this cute rental! Step inside and get ready to relax on your Oregon coast getaway!

Park your car and head up 13 stairs to the unit! You'll have an amazing oceanfront view of the Pacific and Twin Rocks from the balcony of this unit to enjoy each and every beautiful Oregon coast sunset! Head upstairs via the outdoor stairway, and get settled inside! Entering the unit, you'll find yourself amidst the open concept area, including the living room, dining area, and kitchen with plenty of natural light streaming in through the windows. A sliding glass door leads you out onto your own private deck, complete with a full-size gas BBQ, a table, and chairs to enjoy a hot cup of coffee at while enjoying the crashing of the waves in the early morning hours.

A small dining room table sits in the corner, offering a wonderful view while enjoying your homemade meal or some takeout from town. There is plenty of seating for you and your guests to relax and watch a DVD movie, cable TV, or simply sit around and figure out plans. You'll also have access to Wi-Fi while staying at Getaway Oceanfront Lodging. The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up a quick meal or store your food items. You'll have access to a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, oven and stovetop, and refrigerator.

The two bedrooms are located at the back of the unit, both with queen-size beds and decorated with seashell comforters and shades of blue. Both rooms offer plenty of light with a window and two lamps. The shared bathroom sits next to the bedroom on the left and comes complete with a walk-in shower.

Beach access is just a short walk away from your unit, as is the town of Rockaway. Up and down Highway 101, you'll be able to find an assortment of restaurants and shops to explore during your stay. Don't forget to head down into Tillamook and take a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory, or head up north to Seaside and explore the boardwalk and Seaside Aquarium. Great view and pet friendly, very easy beach access. You do have neighbors below and next to you. The inside is quite dated and could use some updating. There is no dish washer. The outdoor chairs had mildew on them and bathroom shows signs of mold/mildew.

The host was great, VRBO was wonderful at getting back to us with any questions in a timely manner, we were not satisfied with the condition of the condo. We felt that there were many things that should be upgraded if you’re going to expect people to pay That kind of money per night. The location is ideal as it is right along the coastline, but the inside of the condo smelled, the carpets were in horrible condition and so was the Furniture. Everything looked to be needing more than just a deep cleaning, like maybe some fresh paint and some minor upgrades on things like furniture and bedding. I will say I appreciated how stocked the condo was with Dish dishware and things to cook with, I appreciated that.

We love the apt, very cozy. Only one dish towel for 5 days was inadequate. We had to use bathroom linen until we bought our own kitchen towel. Amazing views and super easy beach access. Leaving some Windex and/or a squegee would've been nice to keep the windows clean.

Beautiful View

This property was absolutely amazing. The view from our private balcony was breathtaking! The property was clean and had everything you need. Including a barbecue, plenty of cups, plates, pots, pans and silverware. Clean towels and bedding as well. The location is perfect. Walk about 30 feet across the parking lot and the beach is right there! We’re definitely coming back! Such a great experience!

Way over priced by at least 700.00... I'm 85 years old and could not sit on couch or chair without sinking to floor, had to be lifted out. they sent a maint man who agreed most of the furniture needs replaced...Only nice thing was view,,,,Cleanliness was so-so, paint job terrible, beds were so-so. Beautiful ocean view!!

Overall it’s a great property. Great views and access to the beach. It had everything we needed and was budget friendly. It does need updating and the couch is horribly uncomfortable to sit on.

Cozy, comfy, great location!

The views are incredible! The house was cozy, comfy, and very welcoming for dogs. The private deck with ocean views was a highlight. We found the furniture perfect for snuggling up on, and the house is well stocked with dishes, cookware, games, puzzles, and books. The quick beach access made this an unbeatable location. We would absolutely book again!

Beautiful Views of the Beach & a Minute walk to the Beach

The location is perfect and #13 has perfect views of Rockaway Beach from the deck. And you can easily walk to the beach in a minute. The furniture, drapery and carpets are super out dated is the only reason I am rating this location a three. Would be perfect if the place received some updates.

Love this place

A lovely retro condo that we love. My husband and I were married here 6 years ago when it was managed as a resort. It was very special to get to bring our two little children and two dogs to this great simple ocean front gem. I do wish it had a garbage disposal and a dishwasher, but otherwise, it has everything we need for a lovely relaxing vacation. The deck was very safe for my children which I appreciate!

Picture windows look over the beach to the ocean. Although in a complex with other units, it was very quiet. Steps from walking on the beach. Also a short walk to small stores, bakeries, etc.

Ideal Location To Access Beach.

Enjoyed the easy access to the beach. People were very friendly and it seemed like the dogs were friendly with each other. This only thing we would have to say that would might be negative would be, Some dog owners did not pick up the poop after their pets and there was 2 people that stayed that brought 3 extra families with them which just made it loud

Great view. Facility not very clean. Couch and chairs made us laugh very hard each time we sat

Expensive. The view and access to beach were excellent. Room was creepy. Not clean. Furniture was very uncomfortable in living room. Beds ok. We covered all furniture with sheets we brought from home. Brought Clara wipes which came away dirty from surfaces but allowed us to relax but, just not clrpean.

Great location

Great location. As others have noted, but living room furniture is old. The cushions are shot and made the furniture difficult to get out of, so we sat at the table mostly. The heating system is old and it took a long time to heat up the unit, especially because the living room heat did not seem to work. We got comfortable enough finally. Didn't call management about the heat as we didn't want to be bothered. Otherwise well stocked and the view is great.

Great view and location

The view and access to the beach were amazing. Felt like a safe area. The condo needs updating and new paint on inside. Bedrooms were small with no room to unpack. Baseboards were rusty. Vinyl on floor was pieced together with non matching pieces. Furniture was well worn and need replacing. Hard to tell what was clean. No dishwasher so we had to wash everything by hand before and after use. However, as stated earlier the view is beautiful.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Our stay at the beach house had its ups and downs. The unit matched its online description, but there were notable issues. I know it’s advertised as a pet-friendly unit, but the pet smell upon arrival was overpowering despite attempts to air it out. Beds were uncomfortably hard, and each bedroom had only one hard-to-reach outlet. If you need to plug in phones or a C-Pap, as my husband did, bring a power strip. One bedroom's window wouldn't stay open, and an outlet in the living room malfunctioned dangerously. Kitchen amenities were lacking, so if you plan to cook, bring your own cookware and cooking utensils. It did have plenty of plates, silverware, and glassware. Thin walls meant noise from neighbors was noticeable. The deck chairs and windows were dirty, likely due to beach proximity. We went and bought window cleaner so we could have a better view of the ocean through the picture windows and sliding glass door of the deck facing the beach. On the positive side, the location was excellent, offering stunning beach views and proximity to town and shore. The grill and other appliances were clean, and overall cleanliness was satisfactory. We had a good time despite the drawbacks and with a few fixes this could be a great little getaway.

Thanksgiving Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Staying on the beach was awesome. Staying at the house was not!!! Paid an average of $300.00 a night, to have the furniture filthy and dog hair on it. Seriously I have pictures. The blue chair was almost dark brown with dirt, and the couch had dog hair all over it. You could feel springs on the couch when sitting in it, so uncomfortable. Furniture had to be over 20 years old. Gave us 1 extra small (15 gal) garbage bag for 4 days, and 1 extra toilet paper roll. I think after paying $1700.00, we would get better accommodations than this. Never staying there again. :(
