THE APARTMENT

- A large living room opening onto the balcony, with a dining area for 6 people and a lounge space with armchairs, sofa, flat-screen TV and coffee table.

- The beautiful seafront balcony, with a panoramic view of the islands and the coastline from Cannes to Mandelieu.

- A first suite-type bedroom with a king size bed and its large bathroom with corner bathtub.

- A second bedroom with king size bed and its shower room.

- A separate kitchen with a dining table for two people, and everything you’ll need to prepare culinary masterpieces, or just warm up take out, all the appliances (including washing machine) plus kettle, toaster, coffee machine

Access to the property is within 20 minutes on foot from the Cannes train station, or 15 minutes by bus.

It is 30 minutes by car from the Nice Cîte d’Azur airport.

After a few steps down your street, the Avenue Laugier, you will be able to:

TrÚs agréable séjour les pieds dans l'eau, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer et sur l'Esterel

Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© dans l'appartement, qui situĂ© au 4Ăšme Ă©tage du Palais de la Plage (escalier D), du 9 au 29 aoĂ»t 2020. Le lieu bĂ©nĂ©ficie d'une vue absolument exceptionnelle sur la mer et sur le massif de l'Esterel. De la salle de sĂ©jour, nous avions l'impression d'ĂȘtre en croisiĂšre ! L'appartement donne directement sur la Plage du Midi. Il n'y a qu'une rue Ă  traverser et c'est la baignade assurĂ©e. Tout se fait Ă  pieds-nus et en maillot de bain. L'appartement est traversant : les chambres sont placĂ©es Ă  l'arriĂšre de l'immeuble, Ă  l'abri du bruit gĂ©nĂ©rĂ© par le trafic automobile de l’avenue qui borde le littoral. Elles donnent sur la voie ferrĂ©e, frĂ©quentĂ©e par les TGV et les TER qui roulent Ă  vitesse relativement rĂ©duite. Le double-vitrage qui Ă©quipe les fenĂȘtres des chambres est efficace. En revanche, l'immeuble - visiblement construit dans les annĂ©es 1960 - est trĂšs mal isolĂ© de l'intĂ©rieur. A l’intĂ©rieur de l’appartement, seule la salle de sĂ©jour (exposĂ©e plein sud) est climatisĂ©e, ce qui est suffisant vu que les chambres sont situĂ©es au nord. En rĂ©alitĂ©, le seul inconvĂ©nient de cette rĂ©sidence est le parking extĂ©rieur privatif dont elle est dotĂ©e. Le parking en question ne comporte pas suffisamment d’emplacements pour le nombre de vĂ©hicules qui en ont l’utilitĂ©. Du coup, c’est la rĂšgle du « premier arrivĂ©/premier servi » qui s’applique. Lorsque le parking est complet (ce qui a Ă©tĂ© le cas pendant 95 % de notre sĂ©jour), les automobilistes garent leurs vĂ©hicules en file indienne Ă  partir du fond, empĂȘchant ainsi les vĂ©hicules garĂ©s « normalement » de sortir. La problĂ©matique du parking nous a amenĂ©s Ă  revoir nos plans : nous n’avons utilisĂ© notre vĂ©hicule qu’à trois reprises pendant nos trois semaines de vacances, ce qui peut aussi ĂȘtre un choix car tout se fait facilement Ă  pied. Le marchĂ© Forville est Ă  une douzaine de minutes de marche en passant par le Suquet (attention, ça monte), de mĂȘme que la rue Meynadier.
