Overall, the house was nice and mostly as described, but I did find the listing to be somewhat misleading. It advertises the property as sitting on a "pristine 7 acres," which may be true during certain times of the year, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case during our August stay. While the home itself is centrally located on the property, there was very little usable outdoor space beyond the paved parking area. The surrounding land was dry, with lots of dead grass, foxtails, and burs — making it unsafe for our dogs, which was one of the main reasons we chose this rental. Additionally, we were hoping for a quiet, secluded getaway, but we could still see and hear both nearby neighbors and the road. It’s a nice home, but I think future guests should be aware that the outdoor space may not be as functional or private as the listing suggests, especially in the summer months.
Very clean and welcoming house. The host was super helpful and the space was delightful. Fantastic views. Excellent deck. Good kitchen, great family dining space. Loved it.
This house served as our home base while spending a couple of days at Yosemite. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The owner was easy to work with during the check-in process. We were so busy at the park that we didn't have enough opportunity to enjoy the nice deck off the back of the house.
Had an amazing time. Loved hiking all day in Yosemite and then coming back to this great house to hot tub, cocktails, BBQ and star gaze. Kitchen was well appointed. We all enjoyed cooking together.
The property is as advertised and was an awesome place for us to relax each day. The place was great for our dogs and the rooms were comfortable and the house is very quiet. Air conditioning worked great and the hot tub was very relaxing.
Shopping and restaurants are not very far away and Yosemite is about an hour and fifteen away.
The house is well kept and very nice with all essentials. We didn’t receive check in instructions until very late and couldn’t get tvs to work very well but the property is gorgeous and the home is well kept
We had a great relaxing weekend here! Definitely enjoyed the hot tub and coziness of this place. The house is close enough to town to enjoy a day out but also secluded enough to relax and enjoy watching the deer and birds wandering near the property. Sticks coffee, coffee at Moonbow Kitchen, and Sugar Pine cafe were great places to eat or get coffee in the mornings just down the road. Thanks for the relaxing weekend!
This was such a wonderful place to stay. We loved the large back patio for have breakfast overlooking the trees. The house was very nice inside. We enjoyed how there wasn’t a lot of things surrounding the house, allowing us to have more privacy and quietness. It was a great place for some R&R. And Marc was such a great host. He was very quick to reply to my questions, even before I booked the place. Once I got our stay, I had to call him to get the lock code. He was so quick in responding back and making sure we had everything we needed.

This place needs work.
Several other things were not great. First, we did not receive information on how to get in home . I had to call manager . We were so excited to get in the hot tub but it was dirty . I called the manager again and was told, “ it was cleaned to protocol. Turn it on. It should clear up.” It never did. Then, we had no internet and could not get the tv on …. Another call to manager . We were told to refer to the house book . There was no house book with instructions. The manager insisted it was on the entry table …. nope, no book . He did come to the house and got the internet and tv going . And saw the house was missing . After this we never called again about other items . This place is carpeted throughout. But the carpet is covered in rugs that you trip on . This place is also covered in cobwebs . All over the ceiling in the living room , corners of kitchen and bedside bedroom tables . This place needs deep cleaned . I would pass on this property.
This property is a bit far from things, but it’s beautiful and quiet, so plan to enjoy the space! We LOVED the enormous deck and hot tub. After a week of backpacking we appreciated the clean beds and hot showers! A couple small issues - 1) as other reviewers have mentioned, the host was a little slow to provide check in info. Usually at short term rentals I get check in specifics about 2 days before, but for this one I received it the day of, technically an hour before we arrived. 2) the owners are addressing a rodent problem currently, but they didn’t share adequate warning, so some of our packaged food in the kitchen was invaded. I would be safe and not leave ANY food on the kitchen counters, even sealed ziplocks or unopened chips, and clean very thoroughly after cooking. We didn’t see any mice or evidence of mice anywhere else in the house, it was generally very clean, so I’m sure this is just an unfortunate one-off situation. Great trip, would book again!
Perfect location to take daily trips into Yosemite. Lots of room for 4-6 adults. We visited in July 2024 during an extreme heat wave but still used the hot tub and deck in the evening. Mariposa is a lovely little town with great restaurants. Strongly recommend
We truely enjoyed the outside patio ,bbq and hot tub.. The front porch was lovely too, with the rocking chairs and table we could eat breakfast at. lovely setting
This is a comfortable rental about one and a quarter hours' drive from Yosemite Valley. The standard of equipment is very good. There is a little road noise but not enough to be a problem. Getting access details from the owner was troublesome as he did not wish to give the information until the day before our arrival and then had to be reminded to send the information, which arrived by multiple texts rather than a single emails. A bit frustrating but a small irritation overall. I would still recommend the property.
Traveling to Yosemite with a couple and 2 single friends, this house was a wonderful find. Modern, spacious home with 3 bedrooms for each of us to rest, and spacious gathering spaces; living room, dining room and massive deck with great views. The house was clean and uncluttered, easy to work within kitchen and easy to use washer and dryer. We appreciated the bathroom supplies, the kitchen staples stocked in fridge & pantry. Property Manager Marc was prompt to answer my questions before rental and 1 question during stay (directions for WIFi TV). Arrival & House instructions provided timely and easy directions for location. Short 10 minute drive to town for groceries & dining and 45 minutes to Park entrance. This house was welcome retreat after day in Yosemite. Our group agreed, we’d all stay here again and suggest for any others traveling to area.
My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon so we could go to Yosemite National Park. Overall, the property was nice and exceptionally clean. The inside of the property was a little dated, but the deck outside was awesome!!!! As for location, it was fairly close to Mariposa- about a 15 minute drive- but it took us about an hour and a half to get to Yosemite Valley from here. The property owner was very informative and easy to communicate with!
A lovely area and the owner was very accommodating. The house was well appointed and clean.

Natalya and I really love the great outdoors. Whether it's cutting firewood, hiking, fishing, swimming, or just sitting outside with a nice glass of wine with some good cheese and salami, the outdoors is the place to be. We love to be out on the lake with our boat, fishing and camping on the side of the lake in our truck camper. Traveling around the world is also one of our forms of passion. Hope to see you in the Great Sierras soon!!
