Lovely home, perfect location!

Wonderful home located directly across from the beach access! Everything we needed was there--right down to a lobster steamer! Thank you for the thoughtful touches and the excellent communications!

We had a nice time in Rye. The house is old and quirky. There were a number of things that were unexpected: the downstairs bedrooms have glass doors with no curtains, neither bathroom door locks (the upstairs one doesn't even latch), the kitchen is super small and the floor is steeply slanted. The house appears to have been cobbled together over many years. It's comfortable, but strange. Given the price, I would expect a little more.

Many families enjoy its unique nature, ability to accommodate larger groups, and especially its location just steps from the beach. Good location but very old house and tight layout

Location is great but the house itself is extremely old and needs extensive updating. Kitchen is very small, bedrooms are small and noise carries very easily throughout house. I wouldnt stay here again.

Location, location, location - this house scores big on its location - typical beach vacation house, certainly not pristine but very serviceable . The bedrooms downstairs were eclectic and small but functional. Big pluses on not having to bring sheets and towels as well as having available beach gear to use. We had a glitch upon arrival but James was reachable and responsive. If you are not used to beach houses you may find fixtures dated and a bit of paint needed here and there but very typical for a vacation house. The clincher is the location, easy access to the beach, fun parade of people and surfers making the way to the beach. We would recommend this house.

This was our second time staying at this vintage beach house in Rye. We absolutely love everything about the house from the washer and dryer to the dishwasher and the full bath plus 1/2 bath inside. There is also a bonus shower outside, which is very helpful for the kids coming in from the beach. Beautiful, safe street and a 30 second walk to the beach directly across the street. The cottage is comfortable and has a nice breeze throughout the day. AC in the bedroom too. We have never used it, but it’s nice to know it’s there just in case. This is a perfect place for kids with beach toys, boogie boards, and chairs. Also, plenty of linens provided, including lots of towels. Owner is wonderful and helpful for anything that you need. You can’t beat the location and friendly neighborhood. Added bonus, the beach location is absolutely beautiful and a private-like spot in Rye. We can’t wait to return next year! Thank you for another memorable week. We cherish this week and appreciate you for sharing your home with our family.

This property location is an absolute gem - located directly across the street from beach access. The house itself is old but unique, clean and has a lot of New England cottage charm. The outside shower was a nice surprise - my kiddos loved using it. Will return!

Beach Bliss!

We absolutely love 63 Old Beach Road! It is perfectly located directly across from our favorite beach, clean and comfortably appointed and includes all we need for a fun filled family vacation at the beach! James and family are wonderful hosts and we miss it already!

Wonderful stay

What a nice home in such a beautiful area! The homeowners were so gracious and couldn’t have been more accommodating. The house is so clean and equipped with everything you need. The beautiful beach is just a short walk from the front steps. We hope to rent here again .

Perfect beach family vacation

My family of 5 and my sister’s family of 4 all stayed and our families stayed here together for a week and can’t say enough great things about this house! It was extremely clean when we arrived and everything looked like it did in the pictures, even better in person. James was very responsive, before, during and after our stay however we didn’t even need to reach out during the week since everything was so well arranged prior. The beach is not more than a 2 min walk across the street and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. The beach towels and linens were already provided which was a bonus! We had a great week and would recommend this property to anyone looking to have the quintessential beach vacation!

Great Property!

We stayed for a week and the end of July and everything was as advertised. Perfect location and the house had everything we needed for our week at the beach. Due COVID we stayed in and cooked most meals and the house was well equipped with everything we needed including a gas grill out back. Air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable and the garage out back was perfect for storing bikes and beach stuff. Great house and amazing location!! So close to the beach that running to the house to use the bathroom or grab something was easy. James the owner was very responsive and checked in before and during out stay to make sure we were all set.

love the beach

Great location in a peaceful neighborhood where you can see the ocean from the house. Fully equipped house plus sand toys, beach chairs, sea kayak. Also well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and tasteful beach decor. Many rooms made it easy for family life. So sad to leave!
