Great location. Was so close to everything yet felt like we were secluded. Loved the sound of the river outside. Cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
My husband and I had a great stay at this cabin. It was in a good location. We had a good 10min walk to the main road and down to the main store. We did get a bear in front of our cabin while we were there so beware. You do have to step down to get into the living room then step back up to go to the bedroom and bathroom. Just know this for older people but it had everything you needed for your stay! We definitely recommend this cabin. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
We had a great stay at this cabin in Gatlinburg! The inside was very clean and well kept, and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. I would definitely update the photos on the listing. The location was also perfect. It’s tucked away enough that you don’t feel like you’re right in the middle of the busy strip, but still close enough that you don’t have to drive far to get anywhere. If I had one small complaint, it would be that the porch area could have been cleaned a bit better. There were quite a few leaves and twigs, which made it a little tricky keeping things out of the hot tub.Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back and staying at the Riverside Princess.
CONS: VERY DUSTY ( if you have allergies-this is not the place for you, dirty dishes in the cabinets(to their credit they refunded the cleaning fee) and patio furniture cushions were not fit to sit in. Empty bags of charcoal strewn at the front door . Not one hanger in the closet and only 1 very small antique dresser barely large enough to fit one persons clothes. Bathroom is VERY dark with only one decorative light above the sink. Stairs up to the cabin have very jagged edges(slate) -personally I wouldn’t find safe for either elderly or children . There was some type of critter either in the walls or attic (chewing kept us awake one evening of our stay. Also notice of toxic plugs utilized if you or pets have adverse reactions. PRO: Quiet dead end location along the river where we saw bears daily up close and personal /very cool. Very nice older cabin. Walking distance is about 15 minutes to ANAKEESTA AND AQUARIUM. Price was very reasonable for the area. It was a lovely place to stay with the exceptions listed as CON’s. OVERALL RATING: 7/10
It’s a lovely cabin! We didn’t get to use the hot tub or sauna because we were so busy with friends, that’s the only regret. The running river was a plus! We will be back!
My husband and i enjoyed our stay very much. The chalet was perfect for us! The river was so peaceful flowing and we enjoyed the hot tub as well. We even had a local 4 legged greeter that made our trip exciting! Cannot wait to come back!
This cabin is very nice but is not for older tenants. Too many tiers and fall risks within the cabin. The location is premium. The sounds of the river were the best features of the stay and the cabin was quiet. It may not be in season but we were lucky.Parking was fine for one vehicle. In Gatlinburg parking is challenging. The kitchen was adequate for a cabin and the fridge was large enough for two.We enjoyed the stay and would recommend this cabin for those wishing to stay within walking distance to town.We did, ages up to 66 yrs.
The Chalet was the same as the pics provided on the website, which was very nice. Overall it was clean, except for some cobwebs and dust but I realize it is in the woods. We loved having the creek beside us and seeing all the bears! Everyone from beginning to end was wonderful in communicating! We had a great stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone!!!
This cabin was phenomenal! Clean, cute and cozy. The river view was amazing and it was so close to all of the attractions. Dianebwas sweet and very easy to communicate with prior to our trip. My husband and I are already discussing staying there again.
Celebrated our 26th Anniversary. Loved the location. We walked the strip everyday, Perfect view of the creek, loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee and listening to nature. Hot tub and sauna was very relaxing after walking the strip. We were very pleased with everything .
Very nice cabin for 2 people. Great location within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg but also nice river running along property so seems secluded. Would definitely recommend.
This property is a very nice location to enjoy the Gatlinburg area with its great location, spa features, and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended as a place to stay in the area for sure.
we stayed here last year and again this year. It is so cute and comfortable. You can easily walk to anywhere you want to go in Gatlinburg. We will be back!
every thing was accessible, may be put a handicap bar next to toliet. we also notice a broke highball glass broke when put ice in glass.maybe check for further cracks in glass.enjoyed the wedding with our nephews.the bed was very comfortable.and it was very clean.
Nice little cabin close to downtown. We loved the hot tub and saw a bear which was cool. Unfortunately the garbage dumpster pickup was at 3 am twice during our stay so that’s pretty loud. They do need to replace their fitted sheet as it is one of those that pops off when you move. Also beware of the steps down into living area next to bathroom and kitchen. Nice smart TVs in living and bed rooms.
