Recently renovated farmhouse located in The Cottages At Troutburg resort community! Enjoy summertime fun on the banks of Lake Ontario. This renovated farmhouse features 4 bedrooms plus den and three full baths, large family sized dining room and living rooms. Brand new kitchen with white cabinets, new plank flooring and carpeting throughout. Two bedrooms and two full baths on first floor with two bedrooms, an additional full bath and den on level two make this the perfect home to share with family and friends. Great water views from new deck and many rooms. Community has private beach, lakeside pool, tennis & basketball courts, fishing pier, clubhouse, lodge and playground. Renter brings own linens. Courtesy bikes and kayaks available. Check in on Saturdays.

The pool and club house were wonderful. The house was everything we needed, bring tp. We didn't find the beach until late in the week, a map of community space would have been helpful.

Family Vacation/Gathering

We rented this house for a multi-generations to stay in early April, while visiting other family in the area. The house is very clean and well furnished. Family in the area came for several dinners and game nights, taking full advantage of the kitchen, large dinning room/table and living rooms. We enjoyed walks, sunsets on the pier and time in the play area.

Family Reunion

Wendy was nice to work with and always available. The house is clean, restored and large with plenty of rooms for sleeping and visiting. There were 3 nice full bathrooms. We had different generations staying there and the dining table fit us all and had a view. Partial water views and woods, with a nice deck overlooking the lake. Swimming pool, large very clean and wonderful to get out of the heat. Kayaking and walks to the pier were really nice. The air conditioned house was always comfortable. Great family memories made at Troutburg, I would highly recommend it. If you want full water view they rent a historic house inside the Troutburg cottages area and that one has a wrap around porch.

Disappointing lake rental

At first glance, listing and arriving at property were fine. Upon closer look, picnic table was located in the driveway, part of the fencing around the very little deck area was missing, leaving a dangerous open section for the children. On the first day we discovered a large hornet's nest hanging from the front eaves. The advertised "beach" was a disgrace, pool was OK and the the club house was adequate. The advertised restaurant was closed and "The Cottages at Troutburg" were really a group of homes with many new cottages under construction. The little area was in the middle of nothing and there was about a half an hour drive to local grocery stores. There was no fun equipment---paddleboats, etc.---available there. The worst problem we encountered , however, was that we had a night when sewage system backed up, and raw sewage backed up through the tubs, showers, onto the floors----leaving 9 people with no usable bathroom for the night. This incredible mess happened twice!!!! The handyman appeared, worked on the problems for whole days, but requiring us to leave the cottage for those days. This was unacceptable, but the cottage owner offered a couple of very pathetic options---an extra day when people had to return to work, finally the use of a golf cart for on the property. I would never return to this property and warn others to be very carful before you plan to stay at this cottage.
