Upstairs 1BR Apartment with Shared Pool

Summary:
39 sq meter (~420 sq ft) apartment, 1 air-conditioned bedroom with queen size bed, 1 bathroom adjacent to the bedroom with hot/cold shower, 1 living room with a fan, single size day bed in this living room (possible for a third small person; extra charge will apply), kitchenette and dining area. High ceiling. Daily cleaning service (except on Sunday) is included. Towels and bed sheets are provided.
Note #1: All guests please bring copy (s) of passport / personal page only.
Note #2: We can arrange for an airport pick up for a fee. If you wish to arrange your own transportation, it's fine too but please let us know your estimated arrival time in Ubud. All arrivals after 6pm or failure to let us know arrival time will need to be "self check-in") with a key in a lock box (detail instructions will be given).

Details:
About the space: You will have 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room/dining, kitchenette, closet. It's an apartment within a small boutique hotel complex. The complex has 24 hour security guard.

Your space: You are renting a whole apartment unit of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living-dining in a second floor (yes, there will be stairs to climb). Within the boutique resort complex, you can take benefits of swimming in a large swimming pool with beautiful views. The location is in close proximity to all amenities Ubud has to offer.
Please note: we do not have a lobby; it is paramount that you announce your ETA (estimated time of arrival) at our property so that our staff can wait for you and help you with checking in and with carrying your luggage. However, all check-ins after 6pm will have to be self check-in (step by step instructions with pictures will be provided). Failure to tell us your ETA even though it’s before 6pm, or, arrival beyond ETA will also mean that you have to do self check-in. Don’t worry though, self check in with the pictures instructions is very easy. :)

Interaction/communication:
When my unit is rented, that means I'm not in Ubud; I would be in Arizona, USA. I can communicate with you through this VRBO/HA platform but there is a 15 hours time difference. I will give you my staff's phone number for the local contact. She takes care the apartment and will do her best efforts to make sure your stay enjoyable.

Other things to note:
It might be surprising to learn that although it is the tropics, Bali has actually water crisis. Please help us to conserve water.
Towels are changed every 3 days. There is drying rack, please dry your towels on the porch when not in used. Sheets are changed every 6 days. (Of course, everything is freshly washed every change of guests).
There is no safety box.
There is no DVD.
Check out is at the latest 11 AM. Sorry, we don't have a space to store your luggage upon checkout.
Check in is at or after 1 PM.
Another important note:
Not just this property, but there are many stairs on the entire island of Bali.
Sorry, we do not have accessible features to accommodate people with limited mobility or wheelchairs.

We loved it here. Ubud was our last denstination after three weeks in Bali and Nusa Lembogan and the Gilis. We previously stayed in Sanur ( which we hated, btw), so we were much relieved to discover this apartment was everything we hoped it would be. The apartment itself is quite large with a comfy high quality bed. The kitchen area made it possible to have our breakfast and lunches and even occassionally dinners in. A well stocked grocery store is just a short walk. The pool was lovely, and a nice respite from the heat. But really the grounds are breathtaking. There is a temple within the compound, and the tropical foliage is well tended. The whole place was just peaceful. It is a bit of a walk to the main area of Ubud, but taxis are practically always right outside the compound, and cheap. There is a restaurant next door that has great bbq ribs- we ate there twice, so if you don't feel like schlepping into town, there are many restaurants to close from right nearby. The housekeeper that came everyday was so warm and always smiling- it seems she can just about arrange anything you want- a driver, your laundry done, a massage ( there's a lot of spas close by). I really recommend you stay here if Ubud is in your travel plans, you will love it.

Clean, Quite, Spacious

Photos don’t do this place justice. It’s very spacious , high ceilings, great sized kitchen and living room space and work table or dining. Bed was very comfortable, air con worked great. Daily cleaning was a nice touch. There’s a pool but it’s chlorine so we didn’t swim but it was kept up. You can walk out the back of the property into the rice fields and explore the village. It’s a bit further than central Ubud but we didn’t mind as we love to walk and experience the city at a slower pace. Yoga studio right beside the home. Construction was happening adjacent but didn’t disturb us at all. Would come back in a heart beat!

Le séjour s est plutôt bien déroulé, nous n etions pas souvent à la chambre. petit bémol sur le ménage de la chambre. .. nous n avons rien dit car la femme de ménage nous a dit qu elle venait de perdre une personne de son entourage donc elle devait aller aux cérémonies etc... mais du coup en 6jours rien a été fait... à la fin les toilettes avaient une odeur de toilettes publiques. .. La chambre manque de lumière le soir , c'est tres obscur.

Charming place

After traveling trough Bali I stayed together with my daughter in the Garden Apartment. We loved it - quiet, nice, beautiful garden with a swimming pool and all over the green rice fields - a traditional place with interesting people and good communication. I like to come back.

Very nice place to stay

I was very happy to stay during 3 weeks at this place. This place is not far away from the center; about 15 minutes walk. Nice swimming pool. Supermarket about 5 minutes. Not Noisy. The staff is very polite and helpful. I would like to go there next time.

Hidden Treasure

This place is great - pictures don't do it justice and is kept lovely and clean by manager each day. Is about 15 minutes walk from the Palace (usual Ubud footpaths and a bit of hill - hence watch with young children or disabilities- but taxis are so cheap). Wee restaurant on site does a great breakfast for about $5 (need cash to pay), other restaurants close by -including Indus which is worth the visit. Spas close by as well ie next door, and within walking distance. Supermarket to stock up is about 100 metres down the road for staples - small kitchenette fridge. Access to the rice fields is out the back of the property. The compound is pretty and authentic. Recommend as total value for money for money - and with two apartments available - rent both if a few of you.

Slice of Paradise

We stayed in The Studios for the second time for two weeks and, again, we had a fantastic time. This is such a find! The tranquility of the place, the views from the pool overlooking the sawas, the butterflies, flowers and 1000 shades of green. It has it all. Very convenient, too, with restaurants, shops and mini/supermarket nearby. Ubud is only 25 minutes walking away and you can take a taxi if you don't fancy a stroll. Staff is very friendly and polite. We hope to come back to our slice of Paradise!

Beautiful and peaceful

We spent 16 days at The Studios Ubud in July 2013 and we had a great time there. Booking was very easy and the apartments (we stayed in both) are very comfortable and perfectly equipped. The location is peaceful and relaxing inside a beautiful compound very well kept indeed. It is also quite convenient with plenty of restaurants nearby, one small supermarket next door and a bigger one a bit further down the road, and Ubud centre at walking distance (around 20 minutes). The staff were always very helpful and friendly. So, it was a perfect stay for us and we highly recommend these apartments to anyone visiting Ubud.

Our FAVORITE place to stay on the entire island...clean, comfy, convenient and well taken care of!

My husband and I spent about four months in Bali, travelling around mostly for surf. Our 'home base' was on the south Bukit, where we stayed most of the time, but we wanted to visit Ubud for a few days. We fell in LOVE with this studio. The price was just right and the best part, was that is was nice and clean with modern amenities --- not run down, like most places you might find in Bali. The owner was very accommodating in booking us in at the last minute, as we were travelling around. The house manager, was very friendly, as was the woman who came every morning to clean the studio. We felt very safe and welcome, and it was a nice little secret haven from the hustle and bustle. We loved the studio so much that we decided to reserve it again toward the last leg of our trip, and we loved every minute. It is very convenient to the center of Ubud (shopping, restaurants, art museums, etc). And one day, we hired the driver, to show us around the outside surrounding areas of Ubud. I was very sad when we had to leave...it is a beautiful, quiet location, with the infinity pool right next to the rice fields...it is just gorgeous at night with the stars and moonlight. I highly recommend this lovely studio, and I hope to come back someday!!

The BEST "hidden secret hideaway" in Ubud!

I stayed at The Studios Ubud (hidden away at the rear of the beautiful Toko Toko compound) for 16 wonderful days this spring...and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. I hate to reveal what a fabulous "deal" this place is, but it's only about a third of the fair rental price for the property! First, the writeup and pictures don't begin to do it justice. The actual apartment is not the one pictured (equally close to the pool however) but a more sleek and modern building - of the highest quality materials - marble flooring, high end bath fixtures, great lighting, electric outlets and windows, etc.) It is absolutely gorgeous inside, beautiful and efficient but still warm and very comfortable with light and airy rooms - very tastefully and artistically crafted. Also, it is basically brand new, all quality linens and dishware and appliances are new and sparkling clean (something I have found rare in Bali) and kept that way by the most terrific and helpful housekeeper, who is a love. She takes great pride in the care of the apartments (one up and one down) and also has been available for helping me out in many ways (personal laundry, scooter rides to the stores and market, translations, etc.) for an extremely reasonable price. Like most people I have found in Bali, the housekeeper and manager here will go out of their way for you, if you return the trust and generosity. Also, I think that A/C (and WiFi everywhere) should be mentioned in the headline, as I personally believe that it's ESSENTIAL in Bali! Being able to sleep, or nap in a bedroom with a new and quiet A/C unit has made my trip ever so much more comfortable. The location in Ubud could not be better...it's walking distance to the center of town (20 minutes) or for a couple of bucks there are cabs to be had everywhere. But quite importantly, it is away from the chaos and noise (considerable) of the town center itself. Great restaurants are 3 minutes away! It is completely quiet and peaceful, and the view of the huge rice paddies and gorgeous salt water pool (hardly used at all by others) is wonderful. The kitchenette has everything needed to make a basic meal or breakfast. The owner, Max and his wife, are wonderful and caring people, very helpful, communicative - making every effort to be assured of your pleasure and comfort in staying here. I give this place a 10 out of 10....and I am known for having excellent and expensive taste!! :-) Ok...this is my gift to you - ENJOY!
