A truly beautiful, tranquil and tastefully-appointed villa facing the bend of a small river valley with unobstructed views of native vegetation and rice fields reflected in its warm and inviting infinity swimming pool.
Elegantly furnished with hand-carved teak furniture and cabinetry, crisp linens, top-of-the-line kitchen appliances and accoutrements. The two air-conditioned* bedrooms boast high-quality spring matresses on hand-carved teak bed frames.; each bedroom boasts an adjoining bathroom with open-air showers!
The entire site is uniquely quiet; rarely can one find complete privacy and tranquility amidst a natural panorama of rain-forest vegetation minutes from a fascinating population center like Ubud.
Because of it's location at the very end of a local path navigable only by foot and occasional motorbike (motorbike access ends at the villa gate), there is no background noise of traffic or commerce. Totally quiet and serene, one hears in the evening only the sound of the breezes in the palm trees, and in the morning is awakened by the calls of doves.
And yet the Ubud main road is only (approximately) 200 meters away, across the rice fields; the elevation above the street level prevents the traffic noise from reaching the riverside location.
Guests will be met by the house manager, Juli (Wayan Juliasa), a young Balinese family man who is also a tourist-licensed and highly competent driver. We ask that guests arrange for him to pick them up from the airport (his fees are reasonable and competitive), as drivers from the airport area, 1-1/2 hours away, are not familiar with our area and frequently can't find the villa!
Also, Juli will have a porter to handle the luggage, will introduce you to the accommodation, and answer any questions you may have including suggestions for what to see and do while you are in Bali, and the offerings of the nearby village and the district. His English is excellent, and all of our guests have raved about his personable manner and knowledge of both the island and the local area.
Juli will not be the only member of our staff to help make your trip enjoyable.
Maya, our housekeeper/cook will arrive each morning to clean, and to cook breakfast if you wish her to.
Bapak Janet, our groundskeeper, will keep the surroundings pristine.
Maya's mother Wayan will place the ritual offerings, hand-made of bamboo and flowers and smelling of incense, around the property when the occasion requires.
However, to allow our guests full enjoyment of our secluded location, we ask that all of our staff depart the property by 11:00AM so that the place is yours alone!
Please note the following: The villa is not near any roadway (the closest is approximately 200 meters) which provides for our uniquely peaceful setting. A motorbike pathway ends at our gate, and motorbikes are not only available for rent very reasonably, but "taxi" transportation by motorbike is also available.
Also, because some travelers demand air-conditioning we have provided it in the two bedrooms (the living spaces are open-air and thus impossible to air-condition).
