No thru traffic. Large covered deck. Very few steps for older folks, little ones or carrying luggage. Great parking. large master, small 2nd bedroom not as private. No dishwasher. Guests provide their own linens & paper products.
Custom golf cart included for drivers 21 & up with valid drivers license (no permits).
Outside camera in use - noted on property also.

In season rentals from May 21st through Sept. 11th are 7 days only. Monthly rates are available for offseason. SNOWBIRDS welcome!

Best Vacation Trip

We booked this property and it was not a disappointment. We were able to use the golf cart to get to the beach, the water park, and enjoy the golf cart cruise each night! We celebrated our son's 13th birthday and he was so happy with everything! We will be back to Ocean Lakes and this property!

myrtle vacation

the property itself was older then most but it was clean. If i would ding anything about our stay it would be 1) It should have new mattresses 2) the floor in the larger bathroom needs alot of work , It is a tripping hazard. The golf cart was great. As an over all review the place is located in a great spot and it was clean.

Great experience!

We had a really great time at this property! The owner is so sweet and very accommodating. The location of this property was perfect, not too far away from the ocean but far enough away from heavy traffic noise. I felt safe with my little one running around. She’s bad for taking off and since it’s in a culdasac it wasn’t so bad.

Smaller than appears in pictures

Ocean lakes was a great place to vacation. The golf cart was a nice addition that was included The place itself was very dated. The living room offered very limited seating with a very small tv; therefore we had to hang out on the deck for the majority of our time. More comfortable outdoor seating is highly recommended.

My listing is 100% accurate, as stated in our many other reviews, with the photos just taken in March, 2024. The house is very accurately portrayed in all the photos on VRBO. There are 2 couches & a rocker in the living room - certainly adequate for the 4 people listed on your booking. I would suggest to this traveler that they book a house with at least 3 bedrooms for all their travels in the future.

Excellent House

This house was great from the moment we arrived until the time we left. No issues with anything. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location is quiet and easy to get to. She has the house beautifully decorated. The golf cart is an added bonus. I had no issues that required contacting the owner but I have no doubt she would have responded quickly. Look forward to staying here again.

Awesome Vacation

We had a great week at the beach! The accommodations were perfect for my husband & I. Betsy, the host, is so easy to work with. She responds super quickly, and is very efficient. Be sure to get your parking pass 10 days before your stay, and you can pass the check in line and drive right in, and save $2.00/day. Main bed is super comfy, we felt right at home immediately. Oh, and did I mention the GOLF CART! Huge bonus, and its really cute. We will definitely stay again if visiting Ocean Lakes.

The owner is wonderful !! I asked about the property before I booked it and she was very nice and helpful. I felt very comfortable to book it so we did ! She gave us all the info we needed days before our trip. We had a sight problem when we first arrived none that was technically the owner’s fault but she went above and beyond!! The complementary golf cart was a plus! The house is well located .. my 3 daughters (10,5,2) walked from the beach it wasn’t a long walk at all. Not a lot of traffic. Close to the pool & Sandy Mart. Overall this house is good house to rent !! And the owner was/is great !!

Fall Beach Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in your home. However, we did have some issues with the air ducts coming off in the master bedroom. But, the owner was awesome and had his friend Randy come over and put it back on 2 different times. I would like to say that you may want to talk to your cleaning crew because there were some issues with the floors and rugs not being clean. So, we swept, mopped and washed the rugs when we arrived. Thanks again for letting us stay in your place..

Communication I had to do it all she waited 3 days before we were to check in before we knew anything about the rental property but when we made reversavations she required all the payments up front the property is old and dated the nicest things there is the golf cart and the washer and dryer.

Upon booking, I immediately welcomed & thanked this woman, and gave her a detailed timeline of when & how she should expect further information from both Ocean Lakes & me, as I do for all guests. I told her to expect an email from Ocean Lakes to complete their registration process so she wouldn't have to wait in their long lines upon arrival. I had to instigate further communication with her when she failed to do so. Guest used a different thread on VRBO instead of booking thread to communicate & didn't seem to understand the process at all - even after my repeated requests using the appropriate thread, she insisted on using the wrong one & told me I should "find some other way to communicate with her". All communications by her were responded to within a couple of hours, usually in a couple of minutes. I do NOT give access codes to the house, garage until a few days before arrival & this was explained up front, and each time I communicated with her (several times before her stay). All pertinent info is in the listing, & all photos are current & accurately represent this house. This renter had no communication or complaints during her stay. No other renters have had any problems with my communication or the house, as noted by other reviews. I hope prospective renters will see this woman's review for what it is - quite unfair & unreasonable.

Can’t recommend

As much as I would love for things to have worked out with this rental, I can’t recommend it to others. The location and included golf cart were awesome but that’s about as far as the positives go. The first thing we noticed when we stepped inside the rental was that it was 86 degrees inside even with the a/c on full blast - contacting the property manager was fast and easy and she had a company come out to “fix” the problem…. but it never fully cooled down the entire time we were there. We would have the a/c set to 70 and were lucky to get it to cool down to 76… trying to recoup from beach temperatures and sleep in a hot house was miserable! The property manager did reach out a few times to check in about the a/c but never really had a solution to the problem. Aside from that, the rental is pretty outdated and not very clean and tidy. My toddlers feet stayed black with dirt the entire time bc the floors were so dirty - even after I mopped a few times! There were drawers and cabinets full of literal junk and old papers and books.. we found a magazine from 2007! It just doesn’t seem like a rental that the family actually uses or visits or takes much pride in for their guests. I hate to leave negative reviews but I just couldn’t recommend this property to anyone else.

The guest informed me within an hour of arrival that it was hot inside the house. I immediately contactacted our HVAC company who - miraculously - arrived within an hour, at 6:00 pm on A Saturday. A duct had become detached from a vent & it was replaced. They said otherwise the unit was working properly. I told the guest if she was not satisfied, she could cancel her reservation & I would give her a full refund. She said she wanted to stay. I later reached out again to see if everything was fine, but received no further response from the guest. If there were any other issues, I was not informed or given any opportunity to remedy them.

Perfect getaway
