If anything, the pictures „undersell“ the property. It is really spacious both inside and outside with plenty of cosy places to sit, relax, and eat. Very well equipped including bikes that we were allowed to use. The area is beautiful with plenty to do. Very nice hosts, welcoming and flexible. Communication was always prompt and easy. Highly recommended!

Beautiful stone house in cute small town!

We enjoyed staying at Carole's house in Tossiat! I loved how uniquely the house was decorated, and the kitchen was very well stocked and fun to cook in. The crowning feature of this house, however, is the wonderful terrace and pool area! It was just beautiful. A wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as hang out and relax by the pool. The only watch out for Americans who are used to air conditioning is ... the bedrooms can get very hot in the summer. The stone house kept the downstairs quite cool although we were there during an unusual heat wave (high temps around 95 F, 35 C); however, the bedrooms were very hot. A few fans in the house would have been nice. Overall, however, I would definitely recommend this property. You can walk into town where there is a bakery, butcher, etc (very nice people, too), but you are quite close to both Lyon and Geneva.

Paige et sa famille ont été des voyageurs très respectueux. Ils sont tombés pendant la canicule, et effectivement les températures ont été exceptionnellement élevées... je n’ai pas de climatisation car ces températures restent très rares! Je recommande vivement Paige et sa famille.

Das Haus ist alt, genauso die Einrichtung. Im Haus sind ständig Fliegen und Mücken, genauso andere Tierchen, die an der Wand krabbeln. Es wirkt alles überfüllt und einige Schränke und Regale sind mit den Sachen des Bewohners beladen, der sonst hier zu wohnen scheint. Es gibt aber genug Schränke für eigene Sachen. Die Schlafzimmer liegen alle in den oberen Etagen. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, was aber kein großes Problem darstellt. Je 2 Schlafzimmer sind über separate Treppen zu erreichen und beide Bereiche haben ein Badezimmer. Der Pool ist groß genug, die Tiefe von 1,50 ist aber nur im mittleren Bereich. Das Wasser wirkt leicht salzig. Der Garten ist groß, die Möbel auf der Terasse und der Grill sind sehr gut. Kohle wurde uns gestellt. Das wlan und der Fernseher sind auch top.Bestimmt kann man hier eine schöne Zeit verbringen, wenn man nicht zu pingelig ist (wie meine Frau und Kinder, die Angst hatten in dem Haus). Die Gegend ist ruhig und es gibt viel zu entdecken.

Cette maison est une ancienne ferme à la campagne. Alors oui il y a l’été quelques insectes qui se permettent de rentrer dans la maison!… Cela dit effectivement nous y vivons, et votre femme devait vraiment avoir un problème avec ça, car depuis plus de 5 ans que je loue la maison, vous êtes le premier à vous en plaindre! En dehors de nos affaires, Nous laissons toujours de la place dans les armoires pour nos vacanciers. Bonne continuation.

Family Holiday at Last

We all loved our stay here. The house layout was just right for the six of us, two grandparents, two parents and two teenagers. Carole responded very quickly to all our questions and this is much appreciated. OK, so there are stairs and steps which need care and low doorways which need to be remembered, but these are no problem for us. We were there for two very hot weeks and pool was just perfect.

Maison en pierre avec du charme mais beaucoup de marches

Maison en pierre dans le village de Tossiat avec une boulangerie, épicerie, boucherie et pharmacie accessible à pied ou à vtt (mis à disposition). Il faut tout de même savoir que la maison a beaucoup de marches et des escaliers peu sécurisés pour des jeunes enfants ou des personnes plus âgés. La propriétaire était toujours disponible pour répondre rapidement à nos différentes questions avant et durant le séjour. Nous avons découvert la région : grotte de Cerdon, Châtillon sur Chalaronne, monastère de Brou...

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve ! Excellent accueil des propriétaires, maison très agréable que ce soit les parties communes, privatives ou les extérieurs (piscine superbe malgré les nuits fraiches et donc la piscine un peu fraîche), très bien équipé, très jolie petit village (on vous conseille la chêvrerie à 200 mètres). Bref je conseille vivement cette maison pour une semaine entre amis ou en famille !
