I love Austin!! As my grandmother says, "anyone who attends The University always tries to get back here!" That is the truth, after graduation I lived in NYC, Houston and made my way back. In fact, I am back at "The University" in my second year of grad school on my way to become a social worker. I am learning through all that life throws me, I am most happy when I am being of service.
Why they chose this property
Fabulous House in GREAT neighborhood! Honey Tree is located minutes from downtown, Zilker Park and all festivities-short drive, cab ride/UBER, bike or mass transit at end of the block. To avoid traffic, it is easier to walk the less than short two miles away!!
No matter what, as long as I live in Austin, I will always live close to Lady Bird Lake/Zilker Park. It is AMAZING and truly THE JEWEL of AUSTIN!! You have the choice of 3,4,5,7, and 10-mile loops to run, walk or ride (rentable) bikes. You can take a dip in Barton Springs Pool that is fed by a natural aquifer keeping the temperature between 68-74* and is open all year. In the summer there are wonderful plays at Zilker Theater and incredible concerts held at Blues on the Greens. Lady Bird Lake offers several rowing docks, stand up paddle boards, and kayaks. It is a blast to visit Austin Nature and Science Center, Zilker Botanical Gardens, and our incredible greenbelt with creeks and hiking trails, and 18 basket disc golf course.
You will NOT be without anything to do and if the weather is terrible or blistering hot (it never is for me!!) you can always check out Barton Creek Mall with the latest and greatest shopping and a state of the art movie theater located 1.4 miles south.
