The Caretaker's cabin is tucked into the forest and is 1700 sq/ft of wow. Newly furnished with custom log furnishings and can accommodate 8+ if sleeping on the microfiber sofas are ok. Please select the proper number of guests occupying when choosing this property. We have a small daily fee for additional guest above 2. We choose to do this so couples could experience the cabin's luxury without paying a higher price as a home.
Pets are not allowed as some of our guests have allergies.
The cabin sits on 27 acres of rolling forest and is frequented by deer, raccoons and many bird species. As soon as you drive onto the property, you will feel like you have been transported to the mountains of North Carolina.
This cabin is only for short term rentals...it is not a residence.
It's setting is secluded and yet only 5 min for grocery stores, shops and restaurants not to mention 10 min from Clemson University and 5 min from Southern Wesleyan.
The space is very kid friendly and designed for kids to have a separate space for gaming, board games or watching TV. We don't have it designed for toddlers however, no outlet covers, stair gate or cabinet locks. The forest is opened and fire pit is next to the house.

About the host
Hosted by Mary Pfeiffer
Mark and Mary have lived in the area since 1993 and enjoyed moving to an area with seasons and rolling hills. We enjoy the outdoors and relish in sharing our property with others.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property in 2007 and built the house in 2016, completed the barn/garage in 2017 and the cabin in 2019. This property is so close to town and yet you feel like you are nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. Wildlife is abundant and the rolling forest hills with the soft breezes on the hilltop site takes your breath away.
