Palm Cottage - 3 Bedroom Beach Cottage just steps from the beach

This Historic Bahamian home is ideal for couples or families alike. Situated on a hill overlooking the turquoise waters, it comes equipped with an outdoor shower, outdoor dining & grill, and kid friendly items like a travel crib, plastic kitchenware, games and toys. It features an eclectic collection of local artwork and is only a few minutes from beautiful North Side Beach, restaurants and shopping. The large garden has a wide variety of plant life and tropical fruit trees.

The space

Nestled on the tiny island of Spanish Wells, Palm Cottage is the perfect getaway for travelers looking to enjoy the pristine beauty of our islands in a tranquil setting. This charming heritage site was constructed of resilient Abaco pine in 1920. Guests will have access to the entire home, including a master suite and guest bedroom on the ground floor, and a spacious guest bedroom with half bath on the upper floor. There is an open plan kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking and grilling, a cozy living room for reading and relaxing and, of course, WiFi. The expansive garden is full of tropical plants and is yours to explore.

**Covid-19 - Travel Tips and Resources**

In an effort to provide you with the most up-to-date travel information as pertains to entering The Bahamas, I will be continually checking the requirements of the Bahamian government and posting them here.

As of 20 September 2022, the COVID-19 testing requirement for entering The Bahamas has been eliminated.

All travellers, regardless of vaccination status, are no longer required to submit to pre-travel COVID-19 testing to enter the country

**Covid-19 - Cleaning Measures**

I have adopted some new policies to ensure I am providing the safest possible environment for you and your loved ones during your stay. I follow an enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights:

I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob.
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination.
I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists.
I provide extra cleaning supplies (including disposable paper towels, disposable gloves, multi-surface cleaner, disinfectant wipes or spray, antibacterial hand sanitizer and extra hand soap), so you can clean as you stay.
All linens are changed between guests, washed at the highest temperature setting and thoroughly dried before storage.
I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.

Rent a golf cart and easily explore lovely Spanish Wells and even neighbouring Russell Island at your leisure! A 4-seater is $50/day (or $250/week), and a 6-seater is $78.40/day. Reservations can be make at Abner's Rentals (242-333-4890) or Harbourside Rentals (242-333-5022). Both companies are conveniently located at the public dock.

If you are flying into North Eleuthera airport, Pinder's Taxi Service charges $15/person (one way) to bring visitors to Spanish Wells. Simply contact them with your flight details (242-333-4068), and they will meet you at the airport. From there it's a 20 minute taxi ride to Gene's Bay dock, and then a further 5 minute water taxi over to Spanish Wells dock where I will meet you.
