Great 3 Night Stay

Darla was great! Perfect location and couple get-away in Ellison Bay. Walking distance to the water, general store, and bar/restaurant. We stayed close after our daily adventures (winery, Washington Island). We will be back and just may stay here again. Thank you!

Excellent Experience

The property was lovely. There are great amenities including a tv in the living room and lots of games. As the listing suggests, there is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom which were enough to cool it down perfectly while we were there (upper 70s/lower 80s for daytime high temps). There are also has standing fans available to be used if needed which was a great additional consideration! The property is exceptionally clean and the decor is very well selected and perfect for the setting. The location is ideal for sightseeing being optimally located close to Washington Island to the north as well as other attractions to the south. It is on a relatively busy road but is set back far enough that you don't even notice the moderate trafic. It is attached to the owner's antique store, which I didn't realize until after we booked, but you also don't notice that at all once inside. It is set back a little from the store entrance so it's still very private and cozy. Overall it was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay while celebrating our first anniversary and we would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

Cozy cottage

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay as we wanted to visit Washington Island and Newport State Park, the location was great. We also did a lot in other parts of Door County and the drive was not bad. The host had a lot is information and suggestions.

Cute place at a beautiful destination

It was a cute place for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We didn’t realize it was attached to the antique store when booking, but it was very private and comfortable. Ellison Bay was a great place to stay in Door County since it isn’t as big as Sister Bay so it’s quieter. It’s in walking distance to good restaurants and a couple nice coffee shops. It’s a short drive to good hiking and many activities. Great place to stay!

Adorable cottage in a great location

We loved our stay at the Forget Me Not Cottage! The property was clean, well kept and beautifully decorated. it's a great location with the Ellison Bay village within walking distance, and Newport State Park and Sister Bay just a short drive away. We would stay here again!

Perfect getaway for our anniversary!

Lovely location in Ellison Bay

Nice location and very quiet. Close enough to enjoy Newport and Peninsula State Parks, Sister Bay, and even Gills Rock and Northport. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful experience with the Forget-Me-Not Cottage. The location was phenomenal and within walking distance to the heart of Ellison Bay. Darla was a friendly and thoughtful host who gave us some great tips. Shower and bed were great! Really enjoyed our stay.

Cute and convenient place

Very clean, comfortable and convenient to everything. A short walk to the pier for sunset viewing. There is a coffee shop next door as well a bar and grill with good food. We would certainly recommend.

Second Stay!

We absolutely love Darla’s rental and Darla herself! This rental is so clean, cozy, and in such a great location. You can walk to the general store or coffee shop as well as a couple of restaurants. A beautiful area - we will 100% be back for a third stay.
