Mountainside Resort has issued a do-not-drink water mandate due to high PFAS levels. Water is also available at the Mountainside office and pool area. Additionally, the owner has provided drinkable water in the unit. Water should only be used in instances where it is not being consumed.

This recently and completely renovated condo located in a new part of the resort is everything you need to truly enjoy your getaway to the charming town of Stowe! Boasting shared onsite amenities that include a tennis court, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, playground, and fitness room, as well as your very own private and furnished balcony with breathtaking mountain views, there's no better place than Mountain View at Mountainside!

You'll be located in the Mountainside Resort where fun and entertainment are right outside your door! The charming town of Stowe is under three miles away and you can find several dining options, Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum, the Helen Day Art Center, and plenty of convenience stores! Mount Mansfield is seven miles away and offers panoramic hiking trails for everyone!

The hot tub was not working the week we stayed and Vacasa said I had to contact the resort management to see if it would be fixed during our stay, which it wasn't.

We really felt comfortable at the K103 condo. It was very clean and well appointed. The exterior of the facility (not the condo itself) was a drawback. It badly needs upkeep, painting, cleaning. The first impression was off putting.

Overall terrific, but the condo could have be cleaner, and the outdoor lights were out, making it hard to find the entrance to the unit. And the thermostat was automatically set to fall to 61 degrees F in the middle of the night! So it got cold the first night.

Great location! Far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get dinner without going far! Gorgeous views from the deck! Super comfortable beds and the place had all the things needed for a trip away from home. Only annoying part was that pictures showed laundry in unit. Wasn’t actually there. Laundry room on site was closed all weekend for remodeling which would have been super helpful to know in advance. Would have booked elsewhere.

Great place overall. You have to walk to a building to use coin operated laundry machines. This is not what picture 22 of 39 for the listing suggests. The pouring rain for our stay made that piece less than desirable. The property besides that, was perfect!

Overall it was good.

Good location, clean condo, comfortable beds and living area. Unfortunately the washing machine couldn’t be used because it had old water sitting in it that couldn’t be drained. We tried putting it on a spin/drain cycle, to no avail. Having a washer was an important reason we booked this condo. ☹️ Also the owner should be aware that the metal transition strip between the living room and dining room is bent and could easily tear your foot if you aren’t wearing shoes, and since they ask you not to wear shoes inside, it seems like a potential liability.

**xxx In 34 VRBO rentals, I’ve never been so disappointed as I was in this property at Mountainside Resort in Stowe. The resort is very nice and I place no blame on them. The owner and property management company, however, is another story. The biggest issue was that when we arrived for a 3-night stay, there was a notice on the door that the water at the resort was undrinkable. You could use it to bathe, but not for drinking or for cooking. Further, boiling would not resolve the issue. You had to haul their bottled water a gallon at a time from the pool building. Much of the food we had brought to cook was not usable. We had no prior knowledge of this. We got no real useful help from Vacasa although we spoke with them 3 times. In fact, they purported to be unaware of the problem, even though the State issued the notice on April 10, 2024, and they further seemed not to believe that the restrictions were still in force, although it’s posted on both the resort and the state website, and on every door at the resort. There were also other problems with the unit, although they paled in comparison. The unit description says it’s a first floor unit, but it’s not; it’s up 3 short flights of stairs. Amenities also list washer and dryer but they are missing. There is a coin laundry at the resort. I did finally find that fact in a review, but after we arrived. We never got the LR TV to work. The twin beds are very rickety, make noise with the slightest movement, and the mattresses

Lovely stay -- a little warm

Lovely apartment, well-stocked, gorgeous view, nice balconies. We loved the location -- far enough out of town to be away from the bustle but close enough to restaurants, trails, etc. It is a two-floor walkup, so it wouldn't work with someone with mobility limitations. No spices, condiments, etc. so bring what you need to cook with. Pots/pans/silver etc. all were provided well. With the climate warming, many places in VT are having trouble keeping up with the heat, as was the case with this apartment, which faces south and has the sun pouring in much of the day. The one small unit in the dining room couldn't effectively cool the entire apartment, particularly the back bedrooms. We are pretty heat-tolerant, but we had to continually run the ac unit which got pretty noisy during high-heat days. Overall, a great place. Highly recommend.

Too hot in the Condo, wall unit A/C not enough to cool down whole unit. Outside patio furniture ripped. Dining room chairs wobbly (screws loose). Could find out how to turn on family room fan. Everything else was excellent.

Quiet and clean older condo property with beautiful landscaping so close to everything yet tucked away into the hillside. We thoroughly enjoyed our unit, the amenities and ease of access to the many activities in Stowe.

The condo was great with beautiful views of the mountains. It was conveniently located within minutes of the restaurants and shops in Stowe. My only complaint is that the washer and dryer were not working and that was one reason I’d picked this condo. There is laundry in the building with the pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

This condo is in a great location in Stowe between the town and the mountain. Close to restaurants and shops. There is a wonderful south-facing view of the mountains. The condo is updated and has all the amenities on site. A great place for a vacation.

We had a great stay at this condo over Feb school vacation week! Location was perfect - it was a very short drive (<5-10 min) to all the restaurants in downtown Stowe and ~15 min to ski, depending on traffic of course! Condo itself was also great and was esp nice to have the pool and workout facility, plus all linens, towels etc. I had only two very small areas for improvement: 1) having the kitchen was great and it was well stocked except for silverware (we are family of 5 and mostly ate breakfast in condo before heading out - seemed to be very few spoons!). 2) the in unit laundry was out of order. There were large coin operated machines in the pool building so this was not a problem but I do always look for a new washer / dryer when I book. Overall we had a fantastic week and I would definitely stay here again!!

Gem at Mountainside

We typically visit Stowe a couple of times a year and like to stay at Mountainside because of its central location to shops and walking trails (for me), proximity to the ski hill and Alchemist (for my husband), and pool and hot tub amenities (for the kiddo). This is the first time we've stayed at this particular condo, and I felt it was a great find. It was cleaner (very clean), more updated, and had a stronger wi-fi signal than other units in the complex. I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.
