Apart from a few minor quirks, it was an excellent place, and a beautiful location, and we enjoyed every minute of it.

A very relaxing week

We had a lovely week in Carmen's apartment in Sonabia. The tiny resort is very peaceful, as is the apartment. It has everything you need to make your stay really comfortable. Fabulous views of wildlife from the balcony. There is a local bar a short walk away which serves meals in high season. Nearest supermarkets are in Castro Urdiales or Laredo. We really enjoyed walking from the apartment and exploring the beach at Sonabia and the headland.

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet

sind die Räume. Auc kleine Details vermitteln einen sehr individuellen, wohnlichen Einbdruck. Man hat den Eindruck in einer privaten Wohnung zu sein und nicht in einem Wohnobjekt. Die Ferienwohnung ist soweit komplett ausgestattet, was fehlt ist ein Geschirrspülmaschine. D.h. per Hand und die Teller vom Vorgänger besser erst waschen. Die Wohnung selbst war sehr sauber, das Geschirr aber eben Handgespült, da ist man naturgemäß vom Vorgänger abhängig. Gut sind die Parkplätze innerhalb der Grundstücksmauern, von daher absolut sicher. Wlan mit perfektem Empfang. Der nächste kleine Laden im Nachbarort (2km) mit sehr gutem Chiabatta Brot und einigen Grundlebensmitteln. Die nähere Umgebung lädt zum Wandern und im Nachbarort mit großer Sandstrand zum Baden ein. LAREDO ist 12 km entfernt mit dem längsten und verbautesten Sandstrand Nordspaniens. Für Strandgänger trotzdem empfehlenswert. 12 km lang soll der Strand an der Bucht sein ! Das Jakutzi funktioniert perfekt mit Blick auf den Strand. Um das Fenster zu öffen muß man aber in die Wanne steigen. Die Wohnung ist insgesamt ausreichend in der Größe aber eben auch nicht mehr und im vergleich zu den meisten bisher von uns gemieteten eher im kleineren Bereich. Für 2 Personen aber ausreichend und sicherlich viel angenehmer als Hotel. Bilbao ist 45 km und damit auch etwa 40 Minuten einfach entfernt. Die Wohnung scheint uns für Naturliebhaber (die Geier kreisen direkt am Berghang hinter dem Haus) und Gästen die es ruhig und etwas abgeschiedener mögen sehr gut geeignet. Wenn man sowohl Bilbao als auch Santander/Picos de Europa besuchen will liegt sie strategisch sehr gut. Für einen reinen Bilbao Aufenthalt würden wir sie nicht unbedingt empfehlen wollen. Fazit: Unter den oben genannten Prämisen empfehlen wir die Wohnung gerne weiter und wenns paßt würden wir auch wieder kommen.

facile scrivere la recensione quando tutto risulta perfetto. Dall'accoglienza alla disponibilità dei simpatici proprietari rispettosi della privacy , alla bellezza del luogo; senza contare il confort offerto dall'appartamento ben rifinito e arredato con gusto. nelle vicinanze si possono trovare zone tranquille e molto affascinanti. se cercate un contatto con la natura e il più totale relax questa è la casa che fa per voi.

Flipando en Sonabia

hemos estado 5 días..yo y mi mujer, visitando la zona,Carmen nos recibió muy bien, nos dio todo tipo de información de Sonabia, sus playas,sus rutas de senderismo (muy detalladas) así como información del turística del entorno(pueblos cuevas Guggenheim. La casa es ideal aparcamiento amplio, apartamento impecable,limpieza ejemplar, La ubicación excelente. Zona tranquila y segura, rodeado de un paisaje Cantábrico aislado. Nos hemos quedado cortos de días y no pudimos disfrutar de todo lo q puede ofrecer pues nos hizo muy buen tiempo y estuvimos todos los días en la playa increíblemente situada bajo el monte Candina pero como dijo Terminator.... Volvere.. Gracias Carmen y Pedro 😘

EXCELLENT

We had a wonderful time at Sonabia; The flat was impeccable; very clean and comfortable, extremely well-equipped with a great terrace and a jacuzzi from which we could see the sea! We were nestled between the mountainous hills and only a short walk alongside fields from a lovely sandy cove (for nudists and non-nudists alike). Above all, we were welcomed so well by Carmen and Pedro who were friendly , discreet and altogether charming!! We had a great stay and would love to go back to this idyllic place! We would have no hesitation to recommend it to other couples in search of a natural haven in this area.

Un petit coin de paradis

Très bien à tout point de vue: la beauté du site (mer, montagne), un appartement grand et très agréable avec des vues splendides de la terrasse où nous mangions ou de l'intérieur de l'appartement. De nombreuses balades à pied ou en voiture à partir de Sonabia et surtout un accueil très chaleureux et sympathique de Carmen et son mari. On sent que tout a été pensé pour le confort des locataires (des salles communes au rez-de-chaussée du pavillon avec salon, transat, documentation sur les visites à faire dans la région, babyfoot etc...). Je recommande vivement ce "petit coin de paradis" ! et j'espère y retourner dès que possible ! Hasta luego !

Como en casa

Estuvimos 6 días en la casa que alquilan Carmen y Pedro entre las playas de Sonabia y Oriñón. Nos ha encantado la estancia. El apartamento es precioso, todo nuevo y perfectamente equipado. No falta ningún detalle y te sientes como si estuvieras en tu propia casa. Es muy cómodo y silencioso para dormir, y además Carmen y Pedro son encantadores. Te ofrecen toda la información sobre la zona y te hacen sentir muy agusto. ¡Y qué decir de la zona! es espectacular. Tienes la playa de Sonabia a menos de 10 min. caminando y estas enmedio de un paraje natural que vale la pena visitar ¡más de una vez! Así que en cuanto podamos, ¡repetiremos! Gracias por todo Carmen y Pedro y hasta la próxima.

Un lugar para no olvidar.

Pasamos cinco días perfectos en Sonabia, el enclave en el que se encuentra el apartamento es ideal para disfrutar de la naturaleza, las vistas de la zona desde el apartamento superaron las expectativas con las que íbamos después de haber visto las fotos en Internet. El apartamento esta muy bien equipado y decorado con mucho gusto, todas las estancias son amplias e independientes la una de la otra. Tiene grandes ventanas lo que le da gran luminosidad. Con respecto a Carmen y su marido he de decir que fueron muy hospitalarios y simpáticos con nosotros y desde el principio nos explicaron todo aquello que era interesante de ver, donde poder comer y siempre se mostraban atentos por si necesitábamos algo. Si he de poner una pega , fue que no pudimos llevar a nuestra perrilla, aunque nosotros supiésemos que no iba a dar ningún problema. Recuerdos a Carmen y su marido, seguramente volvamos a vernos.

Siento mucho que no pudiérais traer a vuestra perrita, pero es norma y condición y así se establece en el anuncio que no se admiten mascotas en el apartamento. Sé que se les toma tanto cariño que uno siempre quiere viajar con ellos, pues nosotros hemos tenido una pastora alemana que se murió de viejita y personalmente adoramos a los animales y nuestros hijos nos traen los suyos para que se los cuidemos de vez en cuando, pero has de tener en cuenta que hay otros huéspedes que igual no tienen el mismo criterio que nosotros, por eso tomamos la decisión de no admitir mascotas. Quisiera enviaros un abrazo y un saludo. Hasta pronto!

Espectacular

Pasamos unos dias espectaculares en Sonabia y por suerte el tiempo acompaño. El apartamento esta de lujo, perfecto para ir en pareja. Está impecable, completamente nuevo y decorado con mucho gusto. Uno de los baños que nos dimos en el Jaccuzy viendo la puesta de sol en la playa de Sonabia ha sido algo inolvidable. La ubicación es espectacular, entre dos playas y dos macizos montañosos. Desde la terraza veíamos sobrevolar a los buitres sobre un magnífico acantilado que se despeña al mar. Las vistas desde el apartamento son de destacar: fantásticas. El entorno es precioso, tal como reflejan las fotos del paisaje. . Carmen es simpatiquísima y una anfitriona estupenda . Dispuesta a ayudar en todo lo que quisiéramos. Hay varias playas cerca del apartamento (la de sonabia está a 8 minutos andando y no se puede acceder en vehículo) y además se pueden hacer rutas por el monte. No nos perdimos la ruta a los ojos del diablo y nos encantó. Dispuesta a ayudar en todo lo que quisiéramos. Realmente es un sitio no solo recomendable, sino sorprendente: un rincón desconocido y cautivador.
