This is a wonderful house! Comfortable, homey, and well stocked. We stayed here for a ski weekend and wanted a place where two families could comfortably stay, and we had a very enjoyable time. It snowed the day of arrival and the drive had already been plowed when we arrived, and again the next morning. We had no problems getting in and out. The host is very responsive and friendly.
Overall we had a great stay. The home is beautiful. The large windows over looking the forest is our favorite part. Great location for hiking the mountain and riding the town forest trails.
Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Great home, lovely location, fantastic host (that is super responsive). Thank you! and we look forward to staying here again.

Thanks for all your communication and care of our home, Vaidy. I'm glad that in the middle of this unpredictable winter you got some very good ski days!
My wife and I stayed here with some friends for the VT100 race. It was a perfect place to relax and rest before the run. We had a perfect trip and would look to stay here again if we come back for the race next year.

We enjoyed our trip so much! When we arrived early in the morning after driving through the night we just wanted a nice place to rest and relax and this cabin definitely exceeded our expectations. There was so much room, (more than we expected) and it was very clean and welcoming! Would definitely recommend staying here!

We know this was a big weekend for you and your family. We were very happy we could play a small role!
House was clean, well stocked and the owner was very receptive when we needed something! We enjoyed the beautiful winter views while we got a ton of snow! It is a bit off the beaten path, but doable drive to ski mountains! Plenty of room and beds for a large family! We skied Okemo and it was 35mins with clear roads!
This was a fantastic property nestled in the woods. It was so private and quiet! The house was so well stocked, you don’t see that often, which saved us from having to buy the essentials for cooking etc. The owner was a great communicator and so helpful! We will look at staying again!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. To begin, the host was incredibly accommodating to changes in our arrival date. Everything listed on the website was accurately reflected in the property. All beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. We particularly appreciated the guidebook the host provided with insights on the property and the surrounding area. If we're ever in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Thanks for your feedback Daphne. We were pleased to host you!
This house was great for our recent ski trip. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and we could've easily fit 5 more. Everything was clean and comfortable and the host was great about communicating details of our stay. We happened to be there during a winter storm and the driveway was plowed regularly so we were able to come and go freely. The strong winds prevented us from skiing as much as we wanted, but there were lots of games and puzzles to entertain us. Even my tween and teen enjoyed themselves with sledding and exploring in the backyard.
Wonderful home for family gathering in Brownsville
We rented this home for a family reunion in Brownsville and it was just great. Big basement room for young cousins to sleep together downstairs (including a bunk bed), a nice family space in the dining/living room, and a lovely den, too. Had everything we needed for our simple stay, and the owner was really great about staying in touch to ensure things were goin well.
Location is just beautiful - I ran out the door both to stunning Vermont farming countryside and also up the trails of Mt Ascutney. Minutes from the adorable and delicious Pantry, too!
A great stay in Brownsville.

Hi Isaac - I know this was a big weekend for your family and we were glad to be a part of it. We appreciate the feedback!
This home was a gift to stay at! The home was clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, spices, towels, etc. We used the property to celebrate our wedding and take respite from all the preparations. After the wedding (Oct 4) Matt and I stayed alone with no guests and enjoyed the foliage and walks. We will definitely be back! I very big thank you to Chris and Karen!!

Wonderful cabin with several fun activities close by
Very quiet neighborhood with forest views out of all windows. The deck is wonderful to barbecue and relax. We had so much fun hiking the nearby trails (walk to Town Forest), and swimming in a nearby stream (10 mins drive) and diving into the pools next to waterfalls.
Chris is very helpful with ideas and all his ideas and suggestions were very good! He went out of his to accommodate our arrival a day earlier than planned.

I know you traveled a long distance and we are so pleased that this worked out well for you and your family. Come back again!
Our stay was terrific. The home is quiet, safe, serene, and quite comfortable. Our stay was during warmer months and every area of the property was cool and relaxing. It felt like a “home away from home” and there was plenty of space for everybody to find a quiet nook for themselves to read a book or come together to play a game. I would imagine that the property is cozy regardless of the season. For those who just can’t stay away from technology, there was plenty of access to fast and efficient Wifi. I highly recommend both the property and the property management; we were treated to an experience reserved for beloved family or old friends. Thank you!

Thanks for the review David. I know you'd been planning this trip for a long time and I'm glad it was what you hoped for! Thanks for the communication throughout.
This was our second year renting this lovely property. Especially wonderful is the fact that the large great room has almost floor to ceiling windiws . You feel so connected to the beauty of the wooded setting.
The great room is also nicely sunny
The setting is quiet and serene. Though there are nearby houses we neither saw them nor heard any noise at all. The back deck is very private and great for grilling and enjoying a peaceful meal al fresco.
Large master suite with jacuzzi tub. Lots of twin beds throughout for extra sleeping in addition to a second main bedroom. Also the owner is very friendly , easy to contact, and always responsive and helpful if needed. Thanks Chris!
Great place for those who enjoy quiet serenity!

Delightful Vermont family retreat - perfect for a summer getaway
We enjoyed an amazing late summer vacation at this delightful Vermont property. Excellent communication throughout, accessing the property was a breeze and Chris provided a comprehensive property manual, including lots of excellent dining, activity and shopping ideas. The house is a beautifully designed structure with an amazing central living area and a layout that facilitates mingling and connecting with family - so nice to have a separate TV room, encouraging us all to disconnect from technology. The basement space is perfect for kids and all the bedrooms are lovely and spacious with beautiful views of the surrounding woods. We appreciated the good selection of kitchen gear for home cooking as well as board games/jigsaw puzzles. The children had a blast playing in the garden and exploring the woods. In short this is a cozy, homey and spacious base for exploring the surrounding area. Echo Lake, Billings Farm and the market on the green at Woodstock were particular highlights for summer visitors. Thank you Chris for your hospitality!

Spacious + Conveniently Located + Perfect for Our Needs
We were a group of five 50+ year olds staying here for an annual mountain biking trip to ride the trails at Ascutney. Everyone had their own room and easily moved about the common areas of the house with plenty of space to spread out. ACs located throughout the house kept us cool during 80+ degree weather and the screened windows came in handy on the rainy nights to let the fresh air in while keeping the bugs out. The large deck off the back served as a meet up spot for nearly every meal and board games were enjoyed on the large kitchen table at night. We used the large front porch to gear up for our rides and then to hang out on while we enjoyed a post-ride beverage. A hose is located conveniently to the side of the front porch which we used daily to wash the bikes. The location of the house cannot be beat if you plan to ride the Ascutney trails. Owner Chris provided spot-on directions and a map to access the trail system from the Town Forest parking area located a short 5 minute pedal up the dirt road. It just doesn't get any better than this if you plan to ride the Ascutney trails and explore the surrounding area. Oh, and the kitchen has absolutely EVERYTHING you could ever need or want to prepare and clean up a meal. We'll definitely try to rent this home again the next time we come to the area to ride.

WHAT AN AMAZING STAY. CHRIS HAS BEEN WONDERFUL ESPECIALLY WITH NEEDING TO STAY FOR ONE MORE DAY. WE CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH. THE HOUSE IS CLEAN AND INVITING, CLOSE TO EVERYTHING IF NEEDED.
We visited during the fall and loved all that the cabin and surrounding area had to offer. It's a great location. Very quiet area. The cabin is very spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped. We would like to return.
The house is very welcoming and spacious. The large windows throughout the house make it feel like you’re outside but with the comfort of being in the living room by the fireplace. The house is fully stocked and has everything you may need. The owners were super nice and offered us to stay an extra night because the house was available - of course we jumped on the opportunity to ski another day. Loved the house! Great hosts!
This was a nice place for my friends and I to stay a few days while skiing at Okemo. It was around 30 mins from Okemo. If it is snowing you probably want snow tires or 4WD as there are some steep roads to get to the house. House was a decent size with enough beds to sleep 10 people if needed.
