Gorgeous views, huge property, beautiful land. So much space to walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Pool is private and lots of sun and shade. Property manager is super kind, welcoming, communicative and helpful. Highly recommend this home!
Was a really nice place to stay with our family, cabinet’s we’re stocked, plenty of linens, plenty of space. Only downfall was the time of year nights get cold and solar didn’t heat the pool for swimming so warmer summer night stays would of been ideal. Other then that we had a great peaceful and tranquil stay.
Had a great time staying with our family and friends. The place has so much of character, it feels unbelievable. Having the entire 40 acres of space just for yourself and your family to enjoy was amazing. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect. The check in process was very easy and we were even allowed to check out late which made our stay so enjoyable. We were able to relax on the last day instead of having to hurry out. Catherine was very helpful and gave very detailed information about the property, how to get in, and even recommended things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again
We had such a great time on this property. Great, quiet location, house is clean, comfortable and big. The kids loved having their own room with bunk beds and even some toys to play with. The only downside is that the pool was no heated... the water was way too cold for me and my youngest to go in, but the big kids didn't seem to mind. All in all a great stay. The owner gifted us a bottle of their own wine, which was a nice treat.
Our group of 7 (4 adults, 1 child and 2 babies) stayed at this beautiful property and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although it was quite hot in Paso Robles during our stay, we were always comfortable: the house was cool and there was shade all around the pool. The bedrooms were good-sized and the kitchen perfect for cooking. It felt incredibly special to stay on a working vineyard! And the wine was delicious too. At night, the area is so quiet and the stars were just unbelievable. Catherine the host was kind and so easy to communicate with. Highly recommended! We would love to stay again in future.
This is such a great find if you are interested in staying in the greater Paso Robles area -- notably if you want to spend a good amount of that time at the house.
- Large, beautiful and well stocked kitchen
- Plenty of room in each of the rooms, including a really large master bedroom complete with spiral staircase to second floor veranda
- A POOL - great for kids and gated for security
- Beautiful countryside and vistas with some great wineries to visit nearby (not to mention the wine produced by Silver Owl)
Catherine was a very helpful and responsive host for us, so we really appreciated that.
My only caution to folks would be that this is a great countryside location, but not great if you're looking to be much closer to downtown Paso. This worked just fine for us, but just keep in mind that it is a bit off the 101
Would definitely return!

Beautiful property but house is old
The property is beautiful but house and accommodations are OLD. Needs to be cleaned out, linens should be replaced, kitchen messy and needs a big time clean. Stove was new but didn’t work properly, some of us actually got sick after because stove never heated up properly. Check in process requires you to go in creepy garage filled with spiderwebs-don’t get there after dark or you would never find key. Have rented many properties on the area and this one too old and not worth the price. Outside furniture very old and felt like it was all going to fall apart. Mouse traps under bed, found a dead frog in the room our kids were sleeping in.

This review is very surprising given what the guest emailed me. Here is her response verbatim: Thanks so much for the late check out today. Was great to have the am at the pool. Wanted to let you know that we had trouble with the oven. The right side wouldn’t turn on and the smaller side wouldn’t get hot enough. Also a major smell of gas when using the oven. Thought you might want this checked before the next guests arrive.
The property was beautiful!!
- The oven is not new and was repaired immediately. A photo of the garage has been added to demonstrate that is is very clean and well lit. There are not mouse traps under the beds. The cleaning service is exceptional and a home inspector checks the house after each cleaning and before the next arriving guest.
Enjoy the property, but really dirty on the outside
Look, I always wanted to stay at a winery and guess what I got to stay at a winery and we picked a lot of grapes and my wife really enjoyed being able to go through the vineyards and pick grapes. Really enjoyable.
When I booked it, I didn’t realize the Vineyard was no longer in business but I did talk to the property owner before I got there and that’s what I expected
I gotta be honest there was so much bird poop on the outside, On the steps leading up to the door, pretty much all over and it would’ve been wonderful to have coffee and sit out in their patio furniture, but it looked like haunted mansion furniture; Seriously we didn’t even make an effort because furniture was pretty old and look likeed they hadn’t been cleaned in three years or at least rinsed off
Beds were really rough
Again, we really enjoyed the view of the Vineyard but it $800 a night. I would’ve figured it would’ve been a recruiter and little more classy.
would not rebook or recommend

Dear Warren. The property is not listed as a winery. The listing clearly states that the property is a working vineyard with 41 acres for our guests to enjoy (and I'm so glad you did!). It's unfortunate in the many times we corresponded before and after the booking that you did not mention this. It's very important to me that my guests have every opportunity to ask questions and set expectations for their visit. There are many misstatements above: the nightly rate for the house is currently $595 and sleeps up to 9 people. Beds are replaced as necessary and in fact the bed in the master is new! I have a home inspector that power washes the outdoor furniture and who also is available to guests as needed on the weekends. The photos in the listing accurately reflect the property and the house. The property has many, many perfect reviews for a reason. Future guests should read those for reference.
We had a wonderful time at Silver Owl Ranch. Our memories will last for years. We had fun games in the backyard, walks thru the vineyard, and many games of Uno!
The house was just what we were looking for; a well maintained house to relax with friends/family comfortably, play in the pool, and toddler friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay!
This is my second stay in 2 months. Planning another trip in August with friends and their kids. It is great for toddlers because there are 2 areas to run that are gated off. The pool was unfortunately too cold for our toddler so I am hoping August is better for the pool. We watched the local bunnies and birds and walked in the vineyards. The view is just incredible and you cannot see any other people or buildings from the property. I really can't rave enough.
Very nice and spacious for the 7 of us! We wish we hadn’t reserved so many tastings so we could have enjoyed the home a little more! I can’t wait to go back!
The rental is in a charming vineyard area outside of Paso. Views were incredible. The house is very roomy and well laid out. This location is remote so it is not convenient for restaurants and shopping. The kitchen could use a good deep cleaning. The owner was quick to respond to calls and emails and she was very organized and helpful.
Thank you so much for accommodating my Physician Assistant classmates and me for a reunion following graduation in May. We worked so hard for two and half years and to all come together to celebrate our achievements was such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!
