Beautiful New Glarus, WI Apartment

We are renting the Lower level of our personal residence. The lower level is equipped with a microwave, stocked mini-fridge (complimentary beverages), stocked Keurig (complimentary coffee), 1 bedroom (Queen bed), living area and bathroom. Renters will have access to the outdoor pool (in season), outdoor hot tub, fire pit, patio with table and chairs. Location is close to downtown New Glarus ( 2 miles), the New Glarus Brewery (<1mile) New Glarus Woods state park/bike path (<1 mile) and Baileys Run Winery (4 miles). Madison/Verona is only a 20-25 minute drive. Monroe is a 20 minute drive south.
We have a friendly dog that reside on the property.
Separate entrance is available as well as driveway parking.

A hidden gem

The property is beautiful and Kim and Joe are incredible, attentive hosts. This was exactly what we were looking for when booking a peaceful getaway.

Excellent option in New Glarus

Extremely clean, comfortable, and inviting. Beautifully landscaped property overlooking the valley. Joe and Kim were excellent hosts and made sure we were taken care of.

Perfect for a friends getaway

Beautiful Spot

The lower level apartment was clean, cozy, and just wanted we needed. Quit neighborhood and a beautiful outside sitting area. Hot pool was clean and great at the end of the night. They had a pool to use too, it was clean. Great communication with the host, including their puppy Stella. The dog was super nice and we even played catch with her. Overall great spot to stay in New Glarus. Close to Madison and Monroe. The shower was great and clean and the bed was comfortable. Would stay here again if we were in the area. Thank you Joe & Kim

Beautiful yard with a view

This was perfect for our fall break get-away. We had everything we needed…lots of thought went into making guests comfortable. The view was wonderful ( especially from the hot tub at night). The apartment was spotless, and the hosts were very friendly and respectful of our privacy. Highly recommend!

Fabulous accommodation an apartment within a residence: all the comforts of Home!

Recommend two food establishments: Fat Cats food coffee and breakfast, Kristi’s for lunch and dinner both five star. We stayed at The Apartment Hosted by Joe and Kim. An apartment within a home . Accommodations were outstanding!

Great place to relax, with great hosts.

Many great things about this place, but the hosts are on the top of the list. Great communication, very accommodating, and they went over and above to make our stay and visit to New Glarus a good one. Place was clean, plenty of towels, and fridge was stocked with several beverages. Additionally hosts had firewood for an outdoor fire pit, a pool and a hot tub available for use. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice property and exactly as described. The fridge was filled with a lot of New Glarus favorites which was an added bonus to staying at this property. Gorgeous backyard views with a comfortable outdoor space.

Kim and Joe are such fantastic hosts!! The property is so clean, comfy, and is the perfect location for a getaway. New Glarus is such a quaint, beautiful town. Don't hesitate to book Kim and Joe's property, you won't be disappointed.

Everything was Amazing!!

The location was beautiful. Sitting in the hot tub at night with the views over New Glarus was simply gorgeous! The hot tub was exactly what we needed. Joe was an excellent host. We didn't meet Kim. However, I believe she has to be just as great! They supplied the fridge with New Glarus favorites. An excellent touch! The room was comfy and the house is close to everything! A must stay if in the area!! Thank you for everything Kim and Joe!!

New Glarus

When I booked this trip, my wife and I were just coming back from Europe and looking for a quiet place with a hot tub to adjust back to the time change. I have never stayed in a place where the owners also occupied the same residence, but after showing my wife the view from the backyard we both decided to take a chance and we are so glad we did. The apartment is downstairs with its own entrance, it was very clean and updated with a Keurig coffee maker and a mini fridge with water and other drinks. Best of all Joe, the host made us feel very welcome and comfortable, he had information and spot on recommendations for places to eat and things to do. He even provided us with camp chairs to enjoy the live music at the local winery (definitely try the pizza from their pizza oven). We fell in love with this little Swiss town, it was clean, people were friendly and there was so much to see and do that we spent most of our time walking around. The food was fantastic everywhere we ate and the shops were wonderful to explore. In the evening we enjoyed the pool and hot tub and view of the sunset behind the rolling hills. All in all we had a wonderful time and plan to go back again.

Great place to stay!

I highly recommend this property. Especially if you are traveling during warm weather. They have a lovely backyard area (which is right out your sliding glass door) with pool, hot tub, fire pit, and the most awesome view. You can see for miles. We were just there last week. We went North to see the beauty of Fall and they have an amazing view. The bed is the MOST comfortable I've ever slept in while on vacation. It was as cozy and comfy as my own memory-foam mattress at home. It is very close to the New Glarus Woods State Park. I was able to walk to and from the park and enjoy the trails. We will definitely go back to this area and if Kim's property is available, would love to stay again. The town is so picturesque and there's lots to see. There's a neat beer brewery that you can tour as well as a lovely winery up in the hills.

A Great Get-Away

A mere two hours outside of Chicago and we left the hustle and bustle behind for a lovely oasis with a beautiful vista of the green valleys of New Glarus. Our hosts welcomed us and showed us our accommodations. From the outdoor patio with table and chairs and a comfortable sitting space into our beautifully decorated home for the weekend. A large living room with a comfy couch, easy chair and large screen TV open into the coffee bar and generously stocked fridge. (Thanks for the Spotted Cow, Joe!) The large bathroom with walk-in shower is next to this with soft towels for showering and towels for the pool. The bedroom is large and the bed is soft and comfy. The real jewel is the pool! We spent most of our time there either in the water or on the deck. The space is beautiful with flower beds and flower pots. You really feel relaxed and on vacation. New Glarus's downtown is just down the road. You can visit the brewery, and the shops in town. Kennedy's Ice Cream shoppe is a must! There is a Historical Swiss Village to visit, which hopefully we will visit next time. And there will be a next time. Even if you don't leave to go into town, you will feel rejuvenated by staying at Green County.

Our best stay with VRBO!

We stayed here to join friends coming to town for the New Glarus ChristKindl market and loved every minute of our weekend! The hosts were over-the-top with communication and hospitality and the rental is clean, updated and spacious! The couch and bed were very comfortable and we loved the little extras like the stocked fridge and microwave. Thanks for the best experience we’ve had with VRBO yet!
