Katie was amazing, the house was quaint and very cute! We loved the neighborhood and how easy it was to get to everything. Would absolutely stay again!
I have used VRBO for years and this is my favorite so far. It was cozy and very clean. It was an easy drive to every site that we wanted to see. There were a lot of little special touches such as fresh flowers, face wipes, a book of favorite local places and Katie even left candy for trick-or-treaters if we wanted to hand out candy. Todd was giving free tours at Garden of the Gods so we went for it and he was sucha nice person. When I travel through here again this will be where I stay. Thank you Katie and Todd!!
This was a great rental. It's has great Art work throughout the house. Modern kitchen. Great sitting areas in front and in back. Close to pretty much everything . Beds were very comfortable. Owner is great and the neighbors were great too.
The house and location are everything desired. Great Neighborhood (and neighbors). Easily accessible to all things in and around Colorado Springs and the front range.
The property was great. I spent a good bit of time checking out Katie’s decorating skills (and they are many) and gathering ideas for a lake house we are updating. We loved the neighborhood, too!!
This artist bungalow delivers on its VRBO listing. There was plenty of room, and outdoor sitting areas. The house is set up efficiently and the kitchen is very modern. In addition the house is situated in a great neighborhood close to just about everything in Colorado Springs
Home was gorgeous with all the details and needed items for the stay. Katie was an awesome host who let us know she was available for anything we may need.
This property was everything we hoped for and more! Our family of four enjoyed our week at this incredible property. The location was perfect for exploring Colorado Springs. Pictures and description are accurate….don’t pass up this property!!
My family loved this house inside and outside. It is well equipped and did not disappoint us. The front and back yard is beautifully landscaped. I chose this place to be close to Pikes Peak Greenway Trail where I love to bike.
We were so fortunate to stay at this home! The owners were extremely quick to respond and be in contact when needed! Their home is impeccable! A touch of new with the beautiful history throughout the home made it so fun! The backyard was a great place for naps & hanging out! with close proximity to the hospital, this home was in the perfect location for our specific needs. Just a quick walk or drive to so many neat restaurants downtown!
This property is located in the historical Old North End full of amazing houses. The house itself retains many original architectural charms. The attention to details from decoration and functions is much appreciated.
Absolutely loved our stay. Owners thought of every detail in making us comfy and happy. Lovely neighborhood

About the host
Hosted by Katie Sloan
Hi I'm Katie. My husband and I moved from Portland, Oregon to Colorado Springs a few years ago with our dog Stella, and our two cats Fiona and Puma. We love the sun and being so close to Garden of the Gods. We're travelers at heart, and both work remotely, so we're able to see more of the people and places we love. We love designing and creating comfortable, unique spaces.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as our forever home, it was a definite fixer. We put a ton of love and care into this house and made it a super magical place. It has such a good vibe and we are excited to share it with others. Our plans evolved and now we are living less than a mile away in another fixer, but our heart belongs to our 100 year old bungalow! We think you'l love it and have tried to think of everything you'd need to enjoy your stay.
What makes this property unique
A special note about COVID-19 — as a host, your health and safety is my number one priority. We have always, and will continue to clean our home thoroughly with guests comfort and health in mind.
This our beloved 100 year old home, which has been lovingly maintained. The house has a great vibe and creative, eclectic flair without missing any comforts. As two creatives we have designed and built a space with unique style, and a boutique experience. The kitchen has just been fully remodeled. It is gorgeous and has all the amenities. The outdoor space is whimsical and inviting with total privacy. Our backyard fences and pergola are made from recycled pieces of our old carriage house building which burned in 2020. There is a sunny back deck and the covered pergola for relaxing in the shade or for dining outdoors. This is a small 3 bedroom home with great style, unique features and a fantastic outdoor living space. As travelers who love staying in unique homes we've tried to think of everything you'd need as well as many extra touches! You'll love the central location and the relaxing, thoughtful vibe of our home.
