In the heart of the greater Aquitaine region. Welcome to the Libournais, right bank of Bordeaux near Saint-Emilion (7km) Bordeaux (30km) from Blaye (50km) and 1H from the Bassin d'Arcachon and the ocean beaches. I will be happy to welcome you in our beautiful villa in order to spend your stay in all serenity.
The Libournais is the ideal place to stay between Gironde and Dordogne in the UNESCO triangle

This home is in a great location to explore Libourne, St. Emillion, Bordeaux and surrounding towns. It is nice home with its own quirks. There is no AC downstairs or in the extra bedroom by the pool. The upstairs bedrooms all have individual AC units. Due to the heat wave, 1 unit was broken upon arrival. We made do with the AC that worked, fans provided and we bought additional cooling fans to help. The house is spacious and lots of bathrooms, which is nice. There is a washing machine, however no dryer as listed. There are drying racks which we used with the fans. Brigette is a very kind host and was helpful throughout our stay.

Malheureusement, une climatisation est tombée en panne juste avant votre arrivée, en pleine canicule exceptionnelle. Tout a été mis en oeuvre rapidement et des ventilateurs ont été fournis afin d'assurer votre confort et votre bien-être. Concernant le sèche-linge, je vais vérifier l'annonce afin qu'elle soit parfaitement conforme. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau dans des conditions estivales plus habituelles. 🌷

Beautiful Villa / house.

Superb Villa / house in Libourne. Beautifully presented and very comfortable. The pool is an added attraction. Within 10 minute walk of town centre, train and bus station. Libourne is well situated for visiting the wider area including St Emillion. Our host, Brigette, was wonderful and was a great help to us.

Lovely lotus

Had a wonderful stay at Lotus. A quirky place but comfortable and clean. Ideal to the centre and train station. Upstairs has aircon but not downstairs. Pool area beautiful, but unfortunately too cold to swim .

Delightful Property

This home was delightful. Well situated just a few minutes walk from downtown Libourne was in a quiet residential neighborhood. We walked to the Saturday market and then cooked in the main kitchen (there are 2). The pool was a welcome break from the heat and the AC was also appreciated. Garage parking is always nice when staying in a small town. Everyone felt it was a highlight of all the places we stayed in France.

Villa Lotus

Fantastic property only a short walk from shops and restaurants. The house was spacious and meticulously clean. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed from making coffee in the morning to dinner at night. The garden was fab. The pool was refreshing on the hot sunny days and due to the quiet location of the house perfect to sit and read my book.Plenty of towels supplied for the pool. The hosts were lovely, not too intrusive but attentive and answered any queries promptly. We had a fabulous holiday.

We arrived on the train during a heatwave, and it was 40C in Libourne. Brigitte welcomed us in person and immediately poured us all cold drinks to cool down, before showing us the house. We were grateful for the pool and the air conditioning during this very hot spell. Once the weather cooled down, there was plenty to explore in the local area, no car required. We walked to Libourne (15 mins to centre), and went further afield using the train (15 mins walk) or the local buses (free to use!). The house is well-stocked with supplies, including toiletries. A lovely, unique, interesting place to stay, full of character. Thank you Brigitte for a lovely stay.

Great location for wine tours in all 3 major areas

The place is beautiful. We used all the space, even though there were only two of us. We are cooks, so we really enjoyed having the kitchens, even though we couldn’t figure out the logistics of two kitchens in one space! Our stay coincided with a heat wave, so we definitely used the pool each day when we came back from our vineyard treks. With its great location, we could walk to any meeting point, or to the train station for longer trips. We could also walk around town, enjoy the local cafés and the great market days, as well as enjoy the lovely views along the river. Our hostess, Brigitte, was very attentive and extremely helpful in getting us oriented to town. She even led us to the grocery store the first day. And there was no trouble finding the place. Brigitte had a blue balloon tied to the door, opened it when we knocked and greeted us as long lost friends. Wonderful experience in Libourne.

Great House in Libourne

This is a beautiful house with several comfortable bedrooms and plenty of cozy spots to hang out. Brigitte personally took us through the house at check-in, though she speaks little English and we didn’t catch all her French. There are a lot of dishes and cookware in different places and 2 kitchen areas, so we were constantly looking for things, but the effect is charming in a funny way. (The clutter includes baskets and shelves filled with magazines dating back to 2004-05..) There’ an excellent boulangerie/patisserie about 2 blocks away. Market Day in Libourne was fabulous, and we cooked several meals at home using the delectable produce and fresh chicken and fish we purchased. Libourne has plenty to do and convenient to Bordeaux and St.-Emilion. This isn’t a touristy city, it’s a real, down-to-earth French, small city that enjoys its outdoor public spaces. One suggestion: we wish there was a guidebook here, listing recommended boulangeries, restaurants, things to do and see, market days etc. for Libourne and surroundings, as well as instructions for using the home’s appliances.

Disappointing

The guest house looks like a private place as toothpaste as many items remain in the house. Hygiene downstairs was truly bad: floor wasn’t cleaned (many dead flies) as were both refrigerators. We didn’t use the main one as it smelled really bad and was full of personal stuff. The house only has airconditioning in the bedroom, one of which was not working. The claim of an airconditioned house is wrong. Swimming pool is great as is the location. Dishwasher wasn’t emptied as the owner had a lunch party before we arrived. This is also the reason that the house was not ready when we arrived at 4pm. We had to spend more than an hour with the owner and her friend as she finished cleaning (part of) the house. WiFi is bad in two bedrooms, rest of the house is fine. Television stopped working after the first day, maybe we just didn’t understand. We would suggest buying one diner table instead of two not well fitting tables and make a clear handbook for guests. In short, bad value for money and limited airconditioning when it is 40 degrees outside is not what has been promised in the description of the house. Disappointing.

C'est le principe Abritel de louer une propriété privée aménagée sur un site de réservation Touristique et à la différence d'un Hôtel se retrouver chez l'habitant avec tout les bénéfices en plus . Liberté ! le règlement intérieur n'a absolument pas été respecté ce qui est contre la procédure de réservation (poubelles piscine ) De plus en ce qui concerne la climatisation sur 4 une seule était à l'arrêt Bien cordialement Brigitte

Un vrai coup de cœur !Nous avons séjourné à la Villa Lotus du 17 au 26 août et nous en garderons un souvenir excellent. Dès notre arrivée, l'accueil de Brigitte a donné le ton : chaleureux, attentionné et toujours disponible tout au long de notre séjour pour répondre à la moindre question.La maison est un véritable cocon, parfaitement pensée pour des vacances sereines et qualitatives. Tout est là, tout est pensé dans les moindres détails pour qu'on puisse profiter pleinement, sans avoir à se soucier de rien.Nous recommandons vivement cette villa et son hôte à quiconque cherche un séjour reposant et authentique dans la région.Merci Brigitte pour ce merveilleux moment, nous espérons revenir !

Séjour enchanteur à la villa Lotus

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille à la villa Lotus : maison très agréable, très bien située, au calme. Aménagements et décoration eu top. Brigitte, notre hôte, est charmante et nous a donné de très bons conseils pour découvrir la région. Nous n’avons qu’une envie : revenir !

Très bon séjour Villa Lotus !

Séjour très agréable en famille ! Accueil très chaleureux de Brigitte, au petit soin. Intérieur et extérieur aménagés avec goût, fidèles aux photos illustrant l'annonce. De nombreuses petites attentions à déguster. Tout est fait pour faciliter et rendre agréable le séjour sur place.

Lovely spacious villa

Lovely spacious property which has everything you could possibly need your stay. Charming and very attentive hosts who were on hand for anything needed. Air con upstairs was much appreciated during sweltering temperatures as was the nice pool. Having your own garage space is great as street parking not plentiful. Highly recommended for a holiday in this lovely area of France. Nigel D

Superb little gem in Libourne

We had a short break in this property before attending a family wedding about an hour’s drive further north. Villa Lotus is a delightful townhouse tucked away in a quiet area but within a 5 minute walk of excellent restaurants and shops. We were welcomed by the charming Brigitte who ensured that everything was as we wished. It was also very kind of Brigitte to arrange for her English speaking daughter, resident in Australia, to phone us the next day just to check that we were comfortable. The Villa is extremely well equipped, comfortable, tasteful and has a lovely garden and pool area, together with a garage, which is particularly useful as street parking is very limited. We highly recommend the Villa. Libourne is pleasant, offering some good restaurants, a pleasing main square, a range of shops and lovely riverside areas.

Excellent séjour

La villa Lotus est vraiment top ( très bonnes prestations). Nous recommandons cette magnifique propriété. Brigitte, notre hôte, est très très accueillante et recherche vraiment à faire plaisir à ses invités. Nous reviendrons certainement. Emplacement idéal pour visite de Libourne, des caves de Pomerol et saint Emillion ainsi que de Bordeaux.

Au top !

Long week-end dans cette belle villa, jolie jardin avec piscine et jolie décoration. La villa est tout près de Saint-Emilion et des grands châteaux bordelais. Je reviendrais !

Fantastic base to relax in and explore the surrounding area

Made to feel most welcome by Brigitte and Charlene, a spacious and comfortable property with use of a garage which makes parking very easy at the end of the day. Great location with a Boulangerie two minutes walk away and a lovely selection of Restaurants within Libourne all within 10 minutes walking distance. Relaxing was very easy with the pool and private garden, great weather and a fantastic range of local wines! Many Thanks Brigitte and Charlene!!
