A simple gem of a cottage: this was a nice quiet retreat on a small lake teaming with wildlife. For old friends and elders, accommodations were perfect. Clean, accessible, responsive owner next door. We also liked the proximity to 2 great communities with restaurants, shops, and scenic parks. Just 5-15 min drives to Onalaska and Lacrosse, respectively.
Perfect little cabin for a getaway with beautiful views. Quiet neighborhood away from the city but close enough to everything we needed. Great communication with hosts. Would stay here again!
The Tempur-Pedic mattress was awesome. Two sunrises were beautiful. We didn't spend a lot of time in the house, but everything worked out well for our family and our dog. We appreciate the property being pet friendly.
The place was perfect for our stay! It was clean, well stocked, beautiful view and so peaceful. The hosts were great, we will definitely be back again.
This was our second time staying here. The cottage is clean and there's plenty of room for the two of us and pup. It might be a little tight for 4 adults. We didn't use the grill or firepit. Very close to the boat launch making for easy access to Lake Onalaska. The water is too shallow to get from there to the property's pier for a V hull boat though so we needed to launch daily.
This is a cozy cabin with everything you need. The boat launch, and a bait shop with boat rental are within a short walk from the cabin.
We spent our days fishing for panfish, and every outing was successful. We visited the Red Pines bar, Crooked Pint Brewery, and Piggy's. Seriously, I dont think you will ever have a bad meal in Wisconsin. We visited the National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, just a few miles away. Lee and Erin were very responsive to our questions, and really helped make our stay great.
We will most definitely be back. What a great area for experiencing wildlife!

Great location, near a lot of things to do. Lee and Erin were so nice. Loved that we could bring our dog. The neighbors were all very friendly. All the amenities we could need. We would stay again.
We arrived to find heavy construction equipment on the premises, an excavator right outside the front window. The waterfront equipment, kayaks and paddle boat, detailed in the property listed weren't available. We contacted the owner who explained they were across the street and could be brought over later in the day. Because the owner was a direct neighbor, we noticed they were also using their own water equipment at the same time making this more shared equipment. Like other reviews, the owners were easy to contact, but they were not responsive or respectful to maintaining the promises of the listing. We left early and asked for the night to be refunded with no response. Future guests may want to think twice about this one....
Our family of 4 were extremely happy with the accommodations! The house was the perfect size and included everything we needed to feel at home, including a really great outdoor grill.
The fish cleaning station in the basement worked out great. We brought our boat and docked it at the pier each night after a day of fishing and swimming. We brought our dog as well and the yard was plenty big enough for him to run around.
Lee and Erin were extremely kind and welcoming. The neighbor to the other side was also very sweet.
We ate lunch at Red Pines restaurant right down the street one afternoon and it was delicious! We went into town and golfed at Coulee Golf course twice, very pretty course.
It was a great week of rest, relaxation and fun. Just what we were looking for.
My daughter & I stayed at this house for a little weekend getaway. The house was clean & had all the basic necessities. It sits on right on lakefront & kayaks were available for us to use. We had good communication with the property managers & they were very responsive to any questions we had. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend.
This was our second time staying at this property and we will be back! The fishing from the back yard made my husband happy, and it is so peaceful! Erin and Lee are excellent hosts!
This was the perfect place for my mom and me to stay for a few days while visiting the LaCrosse area. It had everything we needed. The property feels secluded and is peaceful, but at the same time, it is still close to everything. Friendly hosts!
Cabin was nicely remodeled with dogs in mind. The kitchen opens to livingroom on plank flooring instead of carpet. Was able to kennel the dogs when we needed to go out. When it rained, spacious to spread out and easy to clean up. The back yard was large and has access to lake. Nice grill and lots of seating to relax. Hose close to house door to hose off dogs and feet. It rained so we weren't able to use kayaks, hoping to next time. Neighbors were very friendly and loved the dogs. Hoping everyone with dogs continues to be respectful so we can continue to use space next year. We will be coming back hopefully to kayak and enjoy wildlife.
What a great little lake house located 10 minutes from everything. As advertised, it's a very clean and cozy house with great views, fully stocked with all your needs, and hosts that are super attentive.
We took a long weekend trip with our dog and had such a great time at this property. Big yard for the dog to explore, beautiful view, and just a short drive to Onalaska and La Crosse. House had everything we needed to settle in and make it home for a few days. Can’t wait to go back in the fall.
Location was perfect. The lake house was clean and well stocked. Lee & Erin bought us extra baking sheets so that I could make homemade Easter bread to share with family. That was greatly appreciated. We spent a lot of time away from the house, but when we were there, the lake was peaceful and it was fun to watch the birds. We all really enjoyed our stay.
