If your idea of the perfect mountain escape includes casting a line just steps from your cabin, **Falcon's Nest** is calling. Perched above the rushing waters of Fightingtown Creek, this beautifully remodeled tri level retreat is more than a scenic getaway. It is a true fisherman's paradise set against the soundtrack of whitewater rapids.

Tucked into a wooded canyon ridge in McCaysville, just over ten miles from downtown Blue Ridge, Falcon's Nest offers an extraordinary **1,000 feet of private waterfront**. The highlight of the experience is the direct access to the creek below. A series of **steps lead you down to the water's edge**, where you can fish, wade, explore the shoreline, or simply sit close enough to feel the cool mist rising from the rapids. Whether you are an avid angler or just enjoy the peace that comes from standing beside moving water, this setting is unforgettable.

Fightingtown Creek is known for its beauty and its fishing, making early mornings especially magical. Imagine waking to the sound of rushing water, coffee in hand, as you head down to claim your favorite fishing spot before the day fully begins. Evenings are just as special, with the glow of sunset reflecting on the water and the steady current creating a calming rhythm that carries long after dark.

From the decks and expansive windows, you are treated to sweeping views of the creek below and the surrounding forest canopy. The cabin feels almost like a luxurious treehouse, elevated above the rapids yet intimately connected to them. You may even spot falcons nesting nearby, a reminder of the untouched wilderness that surrounds you.

Inside, Falcon's Nest blends modern comfort with rustic character. The open living area is spacious and welcoming, designed for gathering after a full day outdoors. The fully stocked kitchen makes preparing fresh caught fish or a hearty mountain meal easy and enjoyable. Large decks extend the living space outside, offering prime vantage points to watch and listen to the water below.

After a day on the creek, relax in the hot tub or gather around the fire pit near the water's edge, letting the sound of the rapids set the mood. With comfortable bedrooms and thoughtful amenities throughout, Falcon's Nest ensures that your time here feels effortless.

Cabin was very nice. Would not reccomend for small children do to low handrails and outside steps having no mid rail.very dark at night from drivway to door. No window coverings in Bedrooms that have connecting decks. Other than that, very nice stay.

Down in the holler

Close to town and all the sweet spots(waterfalls, fishing, hiking, shopping, etc). Loved everything about this property and town. We would definitely come back and book thru Escape to Blue Ridge again. Thanks for the memories!

Beautiful house and view

The house is clean and beautiful. Lots of privacy and space. The water is feet from the house with great access. Plenty of parking and outdoor sitting spaces.

Fantastic setting

The property was as described. The view of Fightingtown Creek has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Its constant sound lulled us to sleep each night. The carpets on the main floor need to be replaced. One is ripped through; the other a tripping hazard. Also the outside grill needs to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Location was great and secluded. You do need AWD/4WD to access cabin from gravel road. Be aware the wifi is great but we did not have Verizon service in the cabin so we could not make phone calls unless we were on the edge of the top deck. Being on the river was lovely and fun to get in with the attached raft for safety. There are a lot of stairs inside and outside the cabin so be aware for elderly family members. All the decks were great and the location is nice a quiet away from neighbors. Kitchen had all the cooking utensils/pots/pans we needed. Only things we had concerns of were the microwave door gets jammed and is difficult to open, only 1 bedroom had curtains and we like our privacy even when there are no neighbors across the river, and lastly the bottom level shared bathroom had no place to hang any towels/hand towels/no counter space. It was just small things that we had concerns with but the property manager was easy to contact and quick to help. We would stay here again in the future!

Water Side Heaven

We absolutely loved Falcons Nest! The location was perfect, the home is beautiful, and it is so convenient to so many great shops and restaurants along with all the hiking, fishing, kayaking outdoor adventures your heart could desire. There were a few minor issues with the house (the dishwasher doesn't work, some of the jets on the hot tub don't work, latches on hot tub are broken, some soft spots in the multilevel decks), but I would go back again any time! Escape to Blue Ridge (the property management group) was wonderful and helped in every way they could to make sure our stay was pleasant. Campbell and Lexie specifically were angels! If they address the few issues this home will be 100% amazing!
