The Spray, a beach cottage located on the main street of Harwich, is every beach-goer's and vacationer's dream, no matter the time of year you visit! The perfect spot for a family retreat or a couples' getaway, this home will win your heart with its Cape Cod charm.

The moment you step inside, you'll be welcomed by cheery and homey interior decor that will help you leave all of your worries behind. The living area is the right place to cozy up after exploring the nearby area - just kick back and relax as you watch your favorite shows or movies on the TV. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you could ever want to prepare delicious and memorable meals for the group. Ductless mini-split HVAC units have been installed in both bedrooms and the living area to provide heat and air-conditioning to keep the cottage comfortable year-round.

Located on Harwich's main thoroughfare and only two blocks from the beach, this home provides the perfect location for night and day entertainment! The green area in this village serves as a great spot for barbecues and yard games if the beach is not in your interest. If you're in this area of the Cape for a wedding, it serves as the ideal home base for your stay, as Wychmere Beach Club is only half a mile away.

Loved this cottage!

This property was perfect for our group trip! It’s in an awesome location - steps away from lots of great restaurants and shops. It’s also a short walk - maybe 10 minutes- to the beach. The property itself has the cape cottage charm and is nice and quiet with being so close to the town. We had such a lovely time and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cute cape cod rental in a lovely cape cod town!

The property was in a great location near shops and restaurants. Within walking distance to the beach but would recommend driving if you have a lot of gear as you have to walk down a busier street without sidewalks to get there. The cottage was small but clean and had a lot of cape charm. Had everything we needed for our weekend get away.

Beautiful Cottage in a nice location

the cottage itself is located behind a small parking lot (with privacy bushes), clustered with 3 other cottages with a shared green space. the cottage itself was adorable and had everything we needed. the location is also great - right between the main street and the beach. we enjoyed using the small kitchen and the television.my only complaint were the big ants here and there. there were just a couple around the house, and not enough to cause any real trouble, but i do think the owner of the property should look into that. overall, my friends and i enjoyed our weekend getaway at this cozy cottage.

Great location with walking access to beach, ice cream, great coffee place (Cape Roots Coffee and Market), gas station with a small grocery and lots of great restaurants. Easy driving access to rest of the cape. House itself was as shown in the pictures. No A/C but got cool enough at night with windows open and fans. Bathroom inside and the outside shower is redone and water pressure is great. Kitchen needs updating as do the windows and shades. No laundry on site but there are two laundromats in driving distance with wash and fold service. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would rent this little beach house again!

Cottage needs renovations

The cottage is located in the heart of a lovely town and close to the beach. The cottage itself has lots of potential, but is in desperate need of renovations. The furnishings, decor and kitchen are very dated and dingy which contribute to the home smelling like mildew. The kitchen should be purged of all the unnecessary clutter, and the old and dirty throw pillows along with the fabric curtains should be discarded. The bathroom has been renovated, and it is very clean and nice. The local management company was aware of these issues and offered some financial compensation.

Do NOT stay here in cold weather

Cottage was clean. We stayed Sept 26-28, weather was cold/cooler (low 50’s at night). When we arrived we tried to get heater and gas fireplace going. Thermostat was just a prop. Fireplace didn’t work. Contacted Customer Service via phone and text. Was informed that heat was not an amenity! What?!? Fairly certain state of Mass things heat is an amenity for a rental. Was told by CS they would deliver a floor heater and/or find another place to stay. Never heard back from either person. Very disappointed in Vacasa, their customer service staff and the owners of the cottage.

Loved the place, but finding it in the dark was really difficult. And finding the lockbox wasn’t that easy. The inside was cozy and had everything we needed. Loved the inside. The front could’ve been cleaned up a little more, with a better door mat, but that’s the only negative comment.

For checking in, the email that was sent from Vacasa had a pin dropped on google maps of the location, this pin is NOT CORRECT! We figured to map directly to the pin instead of typing in the address because they probably sent a pin for a reason... it was not correct and typing in the address is actually correct. There is also no AC which is fine but something we just didn't realize when booking! Lots of fans so it worked out okay. We had a wedding close by so we were able to walk and there are lots of food places close by! The beds weren't the comfiest but we were only there for 2 nights. Overall 3.5 stars I would say!

Great little cottage

Jan and the managment team were great to communicate with. The cottage was clean, and the new upgrades were perfect, especially the excellent shower. The location is prime for shopping, eating, and walking to the beach. The only challenge is that there is limited airflow and no air conditioning, which is difficult for an older person. I would suggest more cooling devices, but not a deal breaker. Still a lovely cottage.

Very nice small cottage for our small family. Close to the beach and a couple restaurants as well. The only thing that was a problem was the grill. It was old and rusty. I did not want to cook on it.

Dream come true vacation!

It was a dream come true to live in this house while on vacation. It has little endearing messages all over throughout the house. My favorite being "Welcoming home away from home". The bathroom was renovated and all the necessities were provided. It was amazing to have a shower outside too. Top rated cleanliness ready to move in for a dream vacation. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic location near town and beach. Classic "beach house" that has not been updated (which was fine with us - we kind of like that). Has all the basics: kitchenware, fans, picnic table, etc. We would consider staying here again, however, indoor shower is damaged/ needs repair and mattresses need replacing. You may want to bring a power strip/extension cord - lights in main BR have nowhere to plug in!

Super Cute Authentic Cottage

This rustic cottage had everything we needed. Close to the town and the beach. We would love to stay for a full week. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is the state of the indoor shower and the lack of air conditioning. Lucky for us we had a cool, breezy not humid weekend.

Perfect little getaway!

The Spray is an adorable cottage located in a perfect spot -- right in Harwich Port across from George's Pizza and only 2 blocks from Bank St. Beach. The super clean cottage came equipped with linens, blankets, pillows and towels and the minimum supplies needed for the bathroom and kitchen (soaps, paper towels, tp, etc.). The tiny yet functional kitchen has all the cooking utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and silverware you need to prepare meals if you wish. It has a gas stove which was a very pleasant surprise. A full size fridge was perfect for stocking up our food and beverages. Outside you'll find a nice grassy yard with adorondack chairs to relax in or watch the stars; there's also a picnic table, gas grill and an outdoor shower. Another surprise was a nice gas fireplace which worked great and instantly warmed up the cottage on a chilly morning (there is a thermostat to adjust the heat as well). If you're looking for a comfy, private and convenient getaway that has all you need minus the glitz, this is your place. We'll be back!!
