Great Property!

We have an amazing 17 day stay at the Grandfathered Inn! This is a very comfortable and family friendly home that is in a great location...so much to see and do! We have already booked our return for next July!

Lovely graduation weekend

The house and setting are beautiful. Kitchen was so well equipped and we cooked many meals in. Very comfortable beds and couches. So glad we could stay there.

Great Family Getaway

This property is so spacious, clean, and well-stocked which makes it a home away from home. The game room and hot tub were well-appreciated amenities. The only thing some of us missed was Directv.We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views including the deer, chipmunks, and other wildlife. The location near Boone and Blowing Rock make it perfect for a mountain vacation. This property is one that will draw you back for repeated visits!

Grandfathered Inn

An excellent property and excellent stay, from our first inquiry through final billing through check out the day we left! An absolutely stunning cabin, right on top of the mountain, with spectacular views of Grandfather Mountain itself! And spectacular views over the mountains for sunrise and afternoon sunsets! Perfect Visit to Boone

The house exceeded all expectations. It’s bigger than I expected which was a very pleasant surprise. Everyone had plenty of space and privacy when needed. It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. We had two questions during our stay and we received immediate responses. The views were stunning! We will be back for our daughter’s graduation in December and hope to stay here again.

Immaculate and Quaint house with Beautiful Views

This house was impeccable and very well maintained. It was exactly how the house was described in the listing, plus had tons of extras. This house had tons of extras to make you feel like you are home away from home and the views are to die for. We cooked a 5 course meal one night while at the house, and had all the pots, pans, and utensils necessary to do so. Definitely will be coming back.

Couldn’t get fireplace in mbr to work but that was minor considering how great this house is. *we didn’t call the property manager or they probably would have taken care of it

Beautiful property !!!! Loved the hot tub with the views !!! Everyone had their own King or Queen bed ...lots of fireplaces and enjoyed playing pool!! Close to everything ;0)

Relaxing, Stylish and Well Appointed Grandfathered Exceeds

The cabin was exactly and more than the description. We will be back. The bonus is a hiking trailhead at the bottom of the driveway and the Gamekeeper restaurant near the community entrance. We relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Ski Weekend

Great ski weekend with friends!! House was perfect for our three families to spread out but we also enjoyed lots of time together in the spacious kitchen during meals and football! Had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. Can't wait to return on our next trip to Boone.

Graduation celebration in the tree tops

Our family gathered from around the country fir the first time since covid to celebrate my sons graduation from App State. The house was an amazing venue. the space and decor along with the views made for a splendid week. Lots of stairs but the bedrooms and living spaces made it worthwhile. Highly recommend grandfathered Inn. Hope to come back!

Beautiful Home in a Great Location

Gorgeous house with beautiful views from nearly every room. Good location just outside both Boone and Blowing Rock, with many trails and outdoor activities near by. Very private and quiet. Just what we were looking for and I can't wait to stay here again.

Stayed 3/27-3/30. Wonderful house, large enough for six adults and three children 1, 5 and 7. Everything was modern, large kitchen and dining room to allow everyone to eat together. Great views from several rooms. lots of fireplaces and tvs. Would recommend for a large group. Nice and comfortable.

Amazing mountain getaway

We loved out weekend at this house. Well-stocked, beautiful views, wonderful location right by Moses Cone Park trails and the Gamekeeper restaurant.
