We had a fantastic stay in Boone for Homecoming! The cabin comfortably accommodated our large group and had everything we needed—a fully stocked kitchen, modern appliances, and plenty of towels and washcloths. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful, and we especially loved the common areas that gave everyone different spaces to gather. We also used the guest home and loved how convenient it was. Even with a rainy weekend, there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy ourselves indoors. The only uncomfortable moment was when the property manager entered the home without announcing herself or any advance notice. We had asked the owner about using the EV charger for one vehicle, and he explained that it was for personal use only, which we respected. When we spoke with a gentleman outside to ask if everything was okay, he explained that the owner had asked his wife, the property manager, to make sure the charger was locked because they had been having issues with it. We would have appreciated a heads-up from the owner, especially since she entered the home while we were there.Overall, we had a wonderful time and would love to stay again!

The property and the house are beautiful. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions. The only issue we had was the internet wasn’t working, but was resolved within the first day or so that we were there. As mentioned in previous reviews the light switches are different, but not too difficult to figure out. The deck was a wonderful place to hang out with morning coffee and to unwind in the evening. The beds were comfortable. We knew from previous reviews to being extra bath towels and kitchen towels so we had plenty. The area offers a lot to do and we all had a wonderful time.

The host responded quickly and ultimately refunded the money we paid for the Guest House. Although it looked good, the Guest House had a strong sewer smell after the first day, the downstairs sink was stopped up, a glass shower door and surrounding glass were out of alignment, and the washing machine overflowed. The split system for heat and air did work, but made the upstairs too hot for sleeping in order to warm the downstairs. The pot belly stove once it was working was too hot for little children to be around, as they could be burned touching the glass and metal grating. The host called for the housekeeper and stove repairman to come. A washer repairman was scheduled to come first thing Monday morning, but our reservation ended on Sunday. I spent three hours texting/talking with the owner and meeting with the housekeeper and repairman. The main house is beautiful. The large yard and paved cut de sac were fun for children ages 3-7 to play with adults. The main house technology was too hard for average family to understand. Dimmers made lights either full on or off. A water alarm went off indicating water on the half-bath floor and there was none. An interior camera which was supposed to be off when alarm was off, had a green light so we covered it with a cloth..The TV near the back deck would randomly get loud every few minutes. Gas stove settings were limited. We had to cut burners on and off while cooking. All in all, it was a stressful weekend in a beautiful place.

We had a fun time while staying at the cabin in the mountains. My brothers & our adult children played games, hiked and tried some local breweries while visiting. The hot tub made for a great way to relax at the end of the day.

The house was fantastic. Easily handled the 20 members of our family staying there, ranging from age 3 to 71. The beds were comfy, kitchens perfect, deck outstanding, and the views were incredible. Communication with the host was immediate and extremely helpful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Can’t wait to stay again with my family.

Moutain Retreat Near Boone

We had a great family stay on this property as we celebrated our son's graduation. It worked perfectly in terms of its location to booth Boone and the parks and hiking located nearby. The house worked well for our group providing plenty of room for meals and relaxing -- with a great outside view on the deck.
