The Big Chill is the ideal place to do just that, chill! Located 3.3 miles south of the Surfside Beach Pier, and 0.8 miles south of the Garden City Pier, this 3,100 square feet, 7 bedroom, 6 bathroom home features two levels of oceanfront covered porches with unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and plenty of sitting space for the entire family. Other outside amenities include: a private pool, private beach access walkway, and outdoor shower. The oceanfront master suite features a Jacuzzi tub and porch access. A second king suite upstairs also has access to the oceanfront porch. The kitchen is finished with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Ample parking space for 6 vehicles with 2 parking bays (4 covered spaces, 2 driveway). See our Pet Policy that applies to all Pet-friendly homes, which is strictly enforced.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Big Chill!! We had a group of 14 adults and we had plenty of room and the ocean view was spectacular. The only disappointment was we were told there was a 12x24 pool and the pictures we had were not the pool that was at the house.

The fresh paint on interior and abundance of fluffy towels was much appreciated. The kitchen offered everything we needed. However, we realized after allergy symptoms appeared with one of our party and we collected pet hairs when we swept hardwood floors, that this home had been occupied by a pet. Except for this, all was good.

Reviewer Comments: The big chill Just a few notations about the home :Arrived to towels on the deck and in closets Loose door handle, when we arrived was on a main door with lots of use ..which broke shortly after arrival and we replaced Dirty dishes in the cabinetsLeftover items left in the house A big bag of dirty linens left downstairs in the driveway Carpets were not cleaned/swept No bathmats for the bathrooms -with most of them being tile dangerous situationdirt /garbage underneath furniture We are OK with these things because we are from a big family and used to cleaning up I just wanted you to be aware of how the house was left so that maybe the crews can do a better job in the future We enjoy the house. This is our second time spending our vacation at this house Loved all the updates!We have been vacationing at Garden City Beach since 2005 And we come every three years, we enjoy the area immensely thank you so much for your time and hospitality. You were very gracious and helping us with anything we needed!

Perfect house

We had a group of 10 and never felt crowded. It was the perfect location, loved having the shower to rinse off and hop right into the pool. The kitchen was well stocked and the ac worked great!!!!

Couldn’t have been better

The Big Chill was a fantastic rental for our family group of 17. With just steps to the beach, an outdoor shower for rinsing, to a private pool, our family was more than satisfied. Six of the seven bedrooms had private bathrooms; 7th was on main floor with that bathroom accessible to all. Rental was clean with good kitchen with eat in bar and plenty of dishes. The dryer stopped working but maintenance quickly resolved the issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
