I really enjoyed my stay here! VERY clean and cute place with everything a person needs. I especially loved the fact that I just had to go out the kitchen door wall and walk about 10 ft. to go fishing in the canal!
Super quiet and excellent access to lake. Fishing was superb. Clean and comfortable home with Wi-Fi, Netflix or prime video available. Really enjoyed our stay.
The house was amazing. I loved that it was off a Canal. It was easy to tie our boat to. If I had a question the owner got back to me fast. We really enjoyed our time at this house.
We stayed here for a couple of days to just get away and was looking for something that was on the water, allowed pets and was peaceful. Which is exactly what we got. Cant wait to stay again!
Great convenient location.place was very dirty and smelly. With the cleaning fees charged it should have been clean. We had to wash all linens before use it smelled like smoke and was not in need of a full cleaning which we did before and after use.
For our purposes this cabin worked out perfectly. Went up for a weekend with friends, didn’t want to spend a ton of time at the cabin other than Sleeping and cooking with our pontoon with us. Cabin was clean, ice cold AC, and “steaming” hot water. Ken was responsive in the only message I had to send him. Only recommendation is if you have a boat or a pontoon, probably best to pay $5 and launch near the marina, 2 minutes away; the launch on the canal is a bit shallow if you have a longer trailer. Checks all the boxes for a good weekend.

yearly family fishing trip
The trip was a great trip with my four Kids, a Grandson and my brother. Staying on a canal was nice for mooring our boat, pontoon and relaxing, out of the weather. Unfortunately the slips were not clearly marked which made a daily problem with having space in our slips. Each night we would come in from fishing, there wouldn't be room in our numbered slips for our two boats

Outdoor maintenance needed
The inside of the cabin was clean and well put together. However the outside was in shambles. There was junk pile on the outside of the building. The bushes and shrubs buy the back where you would sit outside were overgrown and needed to be trimmed. Weeds growing through the concrete at the sitting area. 2 old picnic tables were the only outdoor furniture. One table had an old shelve underneath one leg to keep it level the the brackets of the shelf sticking up. Dangerous.

Houghton Lake getaway
Well, for one thing we couldn’t get in due to door code being wrong, after that we each took a bedroom, with one sleeping on air mattress in garage and one sleeping on air mattress in living room, we’re big guys that need room. Exterior of house was filthy, needed power washed with a couple exterior lights needing repair, inside of house was clean, nice kitchen, we ate breakfast there and went to different restaurants for supper. The Keurig coffee pot leaked like a sieve. Everything else was operational, except for television. It was supposed to stream off your personal devices but that didn’t work, we had my 6 year old grandson, and it would have been nice for him to watch something, but the three computer technicians I took with me couldn’t get anything going there. So that was a dealbreaker for us. It was good enough to fish from for 6 days, but won’t go back there.
House was exactly as posted. Lots of the small things you might forget were on site. Lots of kitchen tools, dishes, pots, serving bowls at house to use. Great location!
The owner was absolutely amazing and understanding. I would recommend to anyone coming up here! The only downfall I had was the driveway wasn’t plowed before we got there so my mother in law fell and left a nice bruise. It wasn’t fully cleaned - dirty dishes, dirty towels dust everywhere. Not worth a 100 cleaning fee

Well not sure where to start
The silverware was dirty, the refrigerator was dirty the gas grill was so clogged up dripping from people cooking you could not cook with it I told the property manager the place dirty he asks me if I could take some pictures of this I told him that my phone was not capably of doing that never heard anything else back from him and to think I had to pay a cleaning fee it was not clean for me.
Kens place was perfect for our family. It was a perfect size for 6 adults and 3 young kids. The pictures honestly make it look smaller than it actually is— we had plenty of room. The location is amazing and quiet and having the boat well right in front was awesome. I would definitely stay here again. The check in process was convenient and the place was so clean and had basically everything we needed.
