The Skipper is steps from the beach with awesome ocean and beach views. Constantly updated and improved, this year with new outside paint, interior floors, refrigerator, washer, and dryer. Our kitchen is well equipt and ready for your group, you can walk in and feel right at home. Forget something? It is an easy walk to the grocery store or restaurant. No need for a car! Everything you need is right here. This is the memory maker you have been seeking!
THE VIEW
Sit on the deck of our second row home, watching and listening to the ocean. Our view is only partially obstructed, so you get to see and hear plenty of ocean. From inside, a glance out the window from almost any position in a living or dining area will result in a water view.
THE BEACH
There are two ways to enjoy the beach, the best of both worlds.
Walk-On Beach
A simple walk two doors over and across the street will land you on a sparsely used, walk-on beach. Since no cars are allowed, finding the perfect spot for fun is easy.
Pocket Park
You can either drive or walk to the pocket park halfway down the block in the other direction. Since cars are permitted in this small park, you can stop and unload right near the water. The number of people will be a little denser here too.
After the Beach
When you return from the beach, the outdoor shower features both hot and cold water so you can comfortably wash any sand from your toes.
THE LOCATION
The Skipper is just far enough from the city that the beach is more peaceful and less crowded. If you want, everything the city has to offer is about 15 to 20 minutes away.
Almost next door is a grocery store and restaurant. No need for a car when you can easily walk to these establishments for items you need.
INSIDE
The Skipper is an open concept with living, kitchen, and dining areas open. From all of these areas, you can look out the windows and view the ocean. The kitchen is comfortably equipped with a dishwasher, french door fridge, and full-size washer & dryer. The master bedroom features a large TV with Roku and a queen bed. The second bedroom has two queen beds.
ENTERTAINMENT
Every TV has Roku. Feel free to add any subscription services you have as they are in Guest Mode and will reset after your stay. The Living Room TV is 55" and the master bedroom TV is 40". The living room also has a DVD player and a small DVD library.
Games and puzzles for various age levels are provided for the occasional rainy day or family time.
CHILDREN
Infants and toddlers are welcome, please bring what you will need for them. There is no baby bath, highchair, or crib in the house. The home is NOT child-proofed, but also not kid-unfriendly. Some supervision will be required, and a few nicknack items may need to be relocated during your visit. Our children played on the deck for hours and hours when they were little. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs that will work for well-behaved children as it latches but does not lock. The area under the house is paved, open, semi-protected, and is a great play area.
EXTENDED STAYS
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students, plant workers, and pretty much anyone else is welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, so please contact us to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

This is an older property that is still on septic and will not safely hold a large number of people. No additional adults or children are permitted past the number listed on your reservation. If your group is renting multiple locations, do not use The Skipper as your “day” house.
NO PETS
This is a pet-free property. There are a lot of pet-friendly homes in the area, please choose one of these if you wish to travel with your pet.
NO SMOKING
This is a smoke-free property. Guests may smoke outside or under the house. Please bring your own ashtray. The inside must be “smell-free” after your stay.
NO ACCESS TO SOME AREAS OF THE HOUSE
There is a third bedroom that needs TLC and is closed off and not part of the rental. Guests are also requested not to enter attic spaces.

We have free WiFi provided by cable Internet. We are unable to guarantee the internet signal quality of this 3rd party service even if listed as a provided amenity in this property description.
