We had a great Labor Day weekend stay here. Very cozy cabin with just enough amenities. Very quiet neighborhood and the pet friendly , fenced in backyard was a plus. Would definitely stay again
Excellent communication, cabin was clean and simply stocked with essential items. Though as a responsible dog owner, be sure to keep your own poop bags on hand as this property didn’t have them available. It was nice to have access to the backyard and hot tub area through the side gates as well as stairs in one had mobility concerns.
The property looks much nicer in the photos, then actual. If you are looking for a special getaway weekend, this cabin is probably not the place. The hot tub however was nice and hot. We had two small dogs with us. When we pulled up, there was a large German Shepherd directly across the road so we could not walk our dogs and head to carry them into the unit. The living space is rather awkwardly laid out. No view of anything around.
enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed. the dog door is so convenient for the fur babies, the king size bed is super comfy and the celling fan in the bedroom moves the air great

Simple, it has all you need to have an awesome time.
Check in was easy and we were even able to check in early. It had all the essentials needed for cooking, (cooked a few meals in) the king bed was nice & comfy. We loved the hot tub and the fence for our fur baby (our dogs name is Dixie, just a funny coincidence) & the temp cooling unit were both great amenities to have. We also enjoyed that it was in a very quiet neighborhood. We would recommend to others
Beautiful property that we were lucky enough to book for a summer getaway. Check in was very easy, and the condition of the property matched the photos. The jacuzzi was very easy to work and wonderful to use in the cooler evening. Some construction noise went on at a house across the street but otherwise it was a very quiet and peaceful street. To go onto the street this is a large uphill dip in the road so be mindful if driving very low to the ground vehicles. Our rental was a Volkswagen Jetta and we didn’t have any issues with it bottoming out. The place does get very warm in the summer, even with all the doors and windows open it was reaching up to 89 degrees during the day and would start dropping maybe around 7pm and was wonderful in the evenings. We were out most of the day so it wasn’t really an issue for us, but just something to note if traveling in the summer. I selected this place because of its central location to the trails, the Lake and Big Bear Village. Everything was within a 5-6 minute drive. We had a fabulous time and would love to experience this place again in the winter!
This cabin was close to everything, yet quiet and very comfortable for our stay. Fully stocked kitchen, and other rooms with anything you'd need. Any questions were answered almost immediately. Appreciated the clean spa. Able to walk my dog around the area, with only 1 unleashed, but friendly dog, confronting us. Even enjoyed the surprise hail storm. Would love to return when we are able, if it's available.

Hands down the best
The little things that matter water pressure is great Heating, beautiful scenery, clean house everything provided in the kitchen. Feels Like Home. We would recommend to family and friends! Molly and Seth are the most responsive and honest host. We love them
This is a great location and easy to get in and out of. It's close to the lake and the hills. The only reason this doesn't get five stars is something out of the location's control, namely neighbors that let their larger dogs off-leash. It made coming and going a wonder if they'd be out there or not. Over our five day stay, we'd see the dogs running around. While they would eventually get called back, it was the state of wondering if that made it a challenge.Having a fully enclosed fenced area made things so much better and easier. The place is clean, well lit and the hot tub is a great aspect to the location. Want to say that working with Savvy Bears is seamless and easy. The team is quick to respond and really wants (and does) make staying in Big Bear easy.

Host interaction would be a plus, other than our first night we have not heard from them even when expressing concerns over some of the appliances

Dixie cabin
When we arrived everything seemed fine. Then when I was barefoot walking my feet were so dirty! Why you might ask? Because the floor was filthy dirty.
This property was a really cute place for my two friends and I visiting the area.
You can walk to the lake from the house!
The home sits at the top of a little bit of a steep incline, so chains or winter tires are helpful when it snows.
We loved grilling and spending time in the hot tub.
The only thing I want to give a heads up about to others is that the grill ignition is not functioning, so you must use a lighter to light the grill.
We also had a hiccup with no hot water in the shower, but the hosts were super quick to get the maintenance man out there, and he fixed it while we were out in the village!

The host is friendly and very responsive. The cabin works great for two adults and a dog. The location is great! Close to beaches, fishing pier, parks, provisions, restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood is mostly quiet. Cabin has good fans and plenty of lighting. All necessities are there plus a number of amenities. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and the driveway to enjoy the fresh cool air.Upon arrival, the kitchen, bathroom and floor had been cleaned, but there was a layer of black dust on all other surfaces. I had to spend an hour cleaning. A good cleaning job from the rafters down and a coat of paint on all the doors, the woodwork and the deck will enhance the cabins appearance. Also, we suggest a deadbolt on the back door. Bathtub needs a non-slip bathmat. Those with difficulty walking may find the nearby incline of the road a challenge.
A warning for out of towners that the cabin does not have central air would have been nice to know (we quickly saw that no one has ac in Big Bear). Upstairs could use a floor oscillating fan. We found the portable ac unit eventually. Hot tub was great!!!!
Our host, Seth along with Savvy Bears rentals were simply awesome! The cabin we rented was perfect! It had everything we needed, and some! It was nice, quiet and peaceful! My wife and I absolutely loved our stay there! If we could give a higher rating than 5 stars we would give them a 6 out of 5! We plan on returning to that same cabin in the fall and or winter! Thank you Seth and team for making our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely be telling others about our awesome experience with you and your team! We look forward to our return visit soon!
We had a wonderful time it was cozy and perfect! The only thing is that the sun hits the back windows a lot and even with the air and fans it did get a bit warm it went up to 86 in the cabin. I think if you put shades on the outside windows it might help with the heat. Overall it was a perfect place for a getaway. So nice, quiet, & peaceful.
