This little cabin was amazing. It was just perfect for my husband and I to get away from the heat down the mountain. The amenities were amazing, everything you needed and more! I love the little candle that was left for us, so thoughtful. We have stayed at a lot of short-term rentals and just the cleanliness, the hostess communication and the cabin itself was everything we could’ve asked for! We only left a couple times to go for walks and down to the village, we just had such a nice time in the backyard with the fire pit, Jacuzzi, etc. there was no need to leave. Just a really relaxing few days.Thank you, Jennifer for sharing this little gem in the mountains. We will definitely be back.

The pleasure was all ours. Thank you for being such a fantastic guest and I hope you make lots of wonderful memories here.
We enjoyed our weekend stay at this well appointed home. What attracted us initially was that our decent size dog was able to stay with us. Usually places that advertise "dog friendly" have a weight cut off that excludes us. Even though that was what attracted us, we felt welcome from the start with coffee provided by the host from a local roaster and even some dog treats. Everything we used worked as advertised including the spa; the firepit had plenty of propane. The host provided clear instructions on where to find things and how to use them and even some local tips/knowledge. This all made what was intended to be a relaxing weekend as smooth as could be. We enjoyed coffee on the porch each moring and a fire in the fireplace each night. If we were going to be in Big Bear in the future, we would defintely see if this place is available again!
The host anticipates everything, fully stocked kitchen, throw blankets, games, coffee, hot chocolate & marshmallows. Spacious backyard w/ hot tub. Off street parking. Quiet neighborhood yet just 5' from village. This was our second visit, and we will only stay at this excellent property for our future visits.
Beautiful place to enjoy a peaceful getaway in the mountains. Great location near the ski slopes if that is your destination and well situated for enjoying the lake, village and hiking trails. Our dogs felt welcome and enjoyed their first real vacation along with us. Cozy place with fantastic backyard. Jennifer the owner was so helpful and kept in communication to make sure our stay was great. Highly recommend! We will be back to enjoy more of Big Bear and this great vacation home soon!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy chalet. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were clean and well maintained, the host was very communicative, and the location was perfect. We truly enjoyed our time and look forward to staying again.

The pleasure was all ours. I hope we see you again and that the weather is more cooperative for you. Have a wonderful 2026.
This was a charming property with a lot of extra things, including hot cocoa for my son, which he absolutely loved, the house manual, which tells you all about the area, coffee, and tea, nice things like dog bowls for our dog and games for our family to play. It was a lovely place to stay and I can see myself staying there again. They really do go above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable and at home.
We loved this chalet and would definitely look to stay here on future trips to Big Bear. We traveled with a 13yo and a dog and the space was comfortable for all of us. The location was great, we could walk to morning coffee/donuts and to the zoo. And we were in proximity to other places to travel easily. The backyard was a favorite space, where we relaxed as a family, having to debate over who got the hammock at times! LOL! The host was responsive to questions and thought of so many things that we really were able to settle right in and feel at home. Highly recommend this property!
My husband and I took my parents and our two small dogs up to Big Bear for a couple of days at the end of July. Aside from it being way too hot during the day, we had an amazing stay. We absolutely loved the house, with the backyard being a huge bonus. The dogs loved running around and watching the squirrels, while the adults enjoyed relaxing in the hammock, playing cornhole, BBQing, and sitting around the fire table. When we needed to cool off with AC and fans, we went inside and played games at the kitchen table. The location was great. The house is walking distance to Dank Donuts and Moonridge Coffee and a short drive to the village and grocery shopping. Jennifer, the host, is amazing. The communication was great, check-in/check-out was easy, and she provided pretty much everything that we needed at the house. We will definitely be staying at this house again in the future... but probably when it is a bit cooler outside.
This is our second stay at Winterland. We absolutely love it. Knowing pets are welcomed, it makes it easier for us. We have two pugs and they loved playing in the fenced backyard. Later we all enjoyed staying warm by the fire. The cabin is always clean and welcoming and is close to everything. We had two nights and it was perfect. There are tons of hiking trails and restaurants close by.Jennifer makes it super easy and convenient with the check in process and she was always available if we had a question.
Fantastic stay! The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly located in Big Bear. The host was friendly and responsive, and everything was exactly as described. Will definitely be back again!
The cabin was perfect. Perfect size, perfect location, perfect amenities. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night , I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back to enjoy. Thank you. Oh and the host was super kind and informative
This is the best Vrbo we have ever experienced. Incredibly well stocked kitchen, many extra touches, big yard, hot tub, outside table/chairs, fire pit. Comfortable living room, upgraded bedding, even dog bed & blankets. We are unable to suggest any improvements.
We enjoyed our stay here at this cozy chalet. All of the little details they put into the house really made our stay amazing. We loved the hot tub and that it was dog friendly. We will be back next time we book a stay in big bear.
This was a beautiful cabin: excellant condtion, lots of small touches and very clean as well as orgnaized. Great location and a great host. I will be back!
We had an amazing time staying at the cabin! The place was super clean and cozy. Very close to everything (lake, mountains, village, stores, restaurants, etc.). There is even a dog park close by. The dogs had so much fun playing in the backyard and sunbathing on the deck :). The host was extremely responsive and sweet. Everything went very smoothly. Will definitely stay again!
