Stunning property!! Everything was ideal! The house was immaculate, the grounds were stunning and the animals too!! We will definitely be back!! The hosts were very accommodating and easily accessible to us when we needed information!! This place is a must to stay at!!
A beautiful property to walk and soak up the sunset. Horses looking for attention and views from the nearby hills that relax. The home was as advertised and large with a warm fireplace and big windows to luxuriate in front of. The hot tub was a great distraction as well!
This is a very comfortable, well maintained house, with very good amenities including a well equipped kitchen and a lovely hot tub. Cat and Thomas were wonderful hosts and very responsive to any questions. The eggs and other breakfast items supplied were a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed walks in the fields with our dog, seeing the farm animals, and appreciated the quiet and scenic atmosphere.

Thank you for staying with us over Christmas 2020!
The Stone Edge Farm is one of the best vacay properties we've ever stayed at. Beautiful inside and out! Everything was taken care of and whatever questions we had, Catherine and Tom were super quick to respond. We felt completely at hom, enjoyed exploring the area and walking/ snow shoeing around the property. The hot tub was a huge bonus after an active day! We're grateful that we had the chance to spend a week here and hope to be back to enjoy the spring season.

A peaceful hideaway
A plaque on the dining room wall says it all -- Life is best on the farm (paraphrased). Peaceful, quiet retreat with all the amenities and all the privacy you could desire. Ours was an extended stay with multiple day trips to the Bruce Peninsula and environs and we always looked forward to returning for a most relaxing evening/night. One cautionary note: If you have mobility issues or need assistive devices, enquire first about accessibility to the apartment.

Thank you! That is a great suggestion to other guests in the future with mobility issues,…although it is all on one level, there is a flight of stairs to the suite. Once in the suite you are on one level to the outside from the back of the property. The property is on a rolling acreage farm, beautiful, peaceful and central to many of the attractions that you took advantage of to go see. Thanks for staying at Stone edge farm!

I loved everything about this visit. Finally hetting away with hunby from kids in 7 yeara. Perfect amount of comfort, relaxation amd nature. I'm especially fond of the outdoor cat and the horses with whom i shared my morning coffee and carrots with.
Only problem was that the locks to suite weren't working properly so we couldn't lock door when we left which was a big issue with husband.
The owners were pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. Tja k ypi
Property was very clean and well stocked. Fire pit, bbq and hot tub kept us entained as well as finding and feeding the horses. They were always happy to see us. Definitely recommend.
We had a work weekend in the area - we are wedding decorators from the Barrie area and decided to stay for 2 nights instead of driving back and forth . The space was great, hot tub enjoyable we did feed the horses Saturday - the fur babies came to visit and the surrounding area was quiet and tranquil after a busy day x2. Thanks Cat !
Stayed here with my teen daughter to completely disengage and take in nature. The home is so bright and spacious and my first look out the living room window was a view of horses, who we later fed carrots from a bag that had thoughtfully been left for us in the fridge. There are lovely trails to walk on the property and every day we took a day trip to a lake or waterfall. Our hosts had left us everything everything we needed to cook (and to relax) and were always responsive when I had a question. Would go again for sure.
Had a great time staying here, feeding the horses carrots was fun. It was considerate of the host to prepare 4 robes and slippers for us to use. Enjoyed using the hot tub & bbq.
The home is lovely and so clean! The grounds are a lovely rural farm with fields and some animals. We really enjoyed the blue jays and cardinals visiting the bird feeder outside the kitchen window. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. The hostess is kind, helpful, clearly enjoys hosting guests and is super organized. The place is exactly as wonderful as advertised. We highly recommend this hostess and this home. Make sure you read the orientation binder when you arrive; it is very helpful.
This property was perfect for our snowshoeing weekend. Spotlessly clean, with all the amenities one could wish for. Spacious, bright, with comfortable beds and furniture. Surprisingly well-equipped kitchen. Wish I had known they would sell us fresh eggs from the farm!

Hi Karen! Thank you for your review!
Yes! We love when our guests enjoy our farm fresh eggs! It gets you hooked when we leave farm fresh eggs, English muffins, jam, coffee & tea complimentary in the fridge and if you would like more eggs to take home we have half dozen or by the dozen available to buy!
Thanks for staying at Stone Edge Farm!
With our home being under major renovations we were looking for a short get away from the chaos..Cat and Thomas' place was comfy and super cozy...we have 3 fur babies we needed to bring with us so being that this was pet friendly made it the perfect place to relax. The 2 horses and pony were so cute and loved the carrots that Cat had left for us in the fridge..the hot tub was heavenly, especially since it was so cold out!..also thanks Cat for the green eggs and all the extras left in the fridge that we had forgot to bring..and also for the poop bags..lol..I highly recommend this cozy, country retreat.
Our family of 3 (my son is 4 years old) stayed for a weekend during the winter months. Everything was exactly as described in the booking. The beds were super comfortable with lots of warm blankets, the layout was great with a nice big kitchen and very cozy living room where the fireplace is. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and inside a gazebo you could open or close "windows" around depending on the weather. Check in was just with a code on the keypad which was provided by the owner. They live on the property but we didn't see them while we were there. There was tons of snow for my son to play in throughout the day (a little hill for sledding down, some cute paths through the woods, a small pond we cleared off to ice skate on, snow shoes, cross country skies, plus the horses in the barn were very friendly and came right up to us when we went to see them). There were a lot of really sweet touches which made it 5 star: bath robes, flip flops, and a lantern to get out to the hot tub, milk/cream, fresh eggs, jam, and english muffins in the fridge, tea and coffee, carrots to take out to feed the horses, chocolates in the living room, plus lots of signage etc all around to make sure we were informed of everything. There really isn't anything they missed. A perfect and adorable getaway from the city.

What a nice surprise to discover this property. Very quiet and private. Immaculately maintained. Thoroughly and perfectly appointed. Located on a farm with maintained walking trails. Enjoyed the large hot tub nightly. And great hosts, who went out of their way to ensure that the stay was perfect.
