About this property
Renovated Victorian filled w/ art, views, beautiful furniture & hot tub/yard
The Denver Art Cube is a unique property in the heart of Denver just one block from Cheesman Park and a short walk to some of our best restaurants and bars. This historic Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1889, has been fully updated with a remarkable contemporary addition on the third floor (glass cube on top). The house is filled with my books, beautiful art and furniture. It is a wonderful home for a family gathering or group of friends wanting to explore Denver’s arts, restaurant or culture scene. It is not your typical "IKEA" rental, it has designer furniture and art throughout. There are luxury hotel linens with Bumble & Bumble shampoo/conditioner along w/ luxury soaps in bathrooms.
The house is a study in contrasts with the 19th century on the first two floors and the 21st century represented by a large glass cube living room with views towards downtown and the mountains. There are five bedrooms and the house comfortably sleeps 10 with three queen beds and two full beds in the two third floor smaller bedrooms. There are three different living rooms and a library making it an ideal house for hanging out and socializing when not exploring Denver. The house also has air conditioning on all levels for the hot summer days.
Every room is filled with art, mostly contemporary, including several of Colorado’s finest artists. The house was featured in Modern in Denver after the most recent renovation https://www.modernindenver.com/2015/03/opposites-attract/ The house or at least first floor reference the beautiful home in the Wes Anderson movie, The Royal Tenenbaums.
The back yard is a private beautiful oasis with newly landscaped plants and birch trees surrounding a large modern deck, a large fire pit and cedar hot tub. Because of the cedar hot tub and fire pit (which gives off a fair amount of heat), the yard can be used anytime of the year. It also has a large outdoor dining table, gas grill and comfortable sitting area surrounding the fire pit (gas operated).
It is just a block from short walk to some of the best restaurants and bars (Atelier, Potager, Thin Man, Dos Santos, White Pie, One Fold, Olive and Finch, etc.) in central Denver. You are a short bike ride or Uber to LODO, RINO, LOHI or other fun Denver hot spots.
This is my personal house. I have lived here for twenty years, raised my daughter here. I ‘m now an empty nester with a big house and frequently travel so I have recently decided to sometimes share with other discerning travelers looking for comfortable, beautiful space in Denver. I can meet you and make sure that you have everything you need for wonderful stay. You should find everything you need for your stay. If you do sample the bar or end up using a significant use a significant amount of whatever is in the house, I ask that you either replace it or leave some funds on the kitchen counter to replace whatever you used. The house is great for dinners and low-key social fun, no parties or raging, the art is expensive and hard to replace!
If you are interested in using the house for an event, filming or social media please reach out for those rates and prior approval.
Thanks
