Christmas in the Cotswolds

We had the most wonderful time at the cottage in Broadway! We were there over Christmas/Boxing Day and it was the perfect place to hole up and relax! Photos don’t do it justice - it is just beautiful! Everything you need including a first floor toilet which came in handy! We cooked meals and played games. Only complaint was that the Bluetooth speaker wasn’t connecting so remember to bring your own - there were CDs which we played though! The location was right on the road to Broadway and was an easy walk to town. The views from the house to the fields across the street were gorgeous!

6/10 Okay

Pleasant cottage, reasonable location for Broadway village

All good, but television unnecessarily complicated and, apparently, dead batteries in the remote. Also, no instructions for the dishwasher and although there was an iron provided, we couldn't find an ironing board.

Thanks for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy and I'm really glad all was good with the cottage apart from the points you raised! The TV has two remotes which can be tricky - I do agree. The remotes do not have flat batteries. Both remotes work, I checked after your visit. We do also have a TV instructions manual. The dishwasher has an on/off button then a 'go' button. We now have an ironing board - hooray!

Old fashioned charm thatched cottage

Situated right on a busy road with little parking, especially for a large vehicle. No place in the bedrooms to put suitcases and had to climb a spiral staircase. No mirrors in the bathrooms except one small vanity mirror…. No toilet paper holders, ensuite bathroom was very unusual. It had a shower over the toilet and small sink. We had problems with heating and managed to get a bit of heat the first night but not again after that. It was extremely cold and damp weather for July and without heat made our stay somewhat uncomfortable. Would not return to this property.

Great place for a family

Our family loved staying here for our recent holiday in the Cotswolds. Location was great for walking into town, and there were many public foot paths for exploring near the cottage. The addition of modern conveniences like TV and wifi kept the younger members of our group happy too. Would love to visit again!
