The house worked out great for our stay for the weekend! The host was very prompt in responding to any questions and was happy to help out with regard to getting trash picked up during our stay! House had amenities that were useful and the hot tub was nice too! I would definitely keep this in mind for a future stay!
Good-sized half-duplex that fit a group of 12 or so without issue. A bit dated especially if you want to cook, but easy to drive to the slopes. Very clean and had plenty of amenities. Host is great! Highly recommend!!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Crawford's home. The location is an easy drive to Vail Village & Lionshead (although do recommend a car as the bus stop is down a steep hill and wouldn't be easy to walk to / from in the Winter). The hot tub was enjoyed daily after skiing as was the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was stocked with all that you need to cook meals & the dining table fit all nine in our party for dinner each night. Thank you for a great stay!
We traveled to Vail for our first time along with 3 other families. The accommodations were perfect for our group of 7 adults and 9 children. The home was spacious and had everything we needed to cook family style meals and dine together. The hot tub was an added bonus. We ended up driving to the mountain but it was certainly possible to take the bus from the bottom of the hill if we were motivated. Hope to return one day!
We stayed here for our ski trip to Vail/BC and to celebrate a 50th birthday! Two adults and two college aged boys. Due to travel issues, the other family did not make it so there was more than enough room! The house is cozy with plenty of bedrooms and a great hot tub for apres ski relaxation! Located conveniently in west vail just a quick drive to Lionshead or the village. About 15 minutes to BC for skiing but an easy drive. Even with an epic amount of snow, the driveway remained clear and the main roads were plowed.
We do an annual ski trip with 8-10 friends (35+ years of age). The place was great and the house came as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. There are plenty of beds. The living room and dining table are both large and so allowed our group of 10 to hang out and catch-up. Its a short drive to the village. No complaints. I would say perfect for a large group looking to ski and that doesn't mind driving to the village.
The home was very large and sprawling. It smelled great and was very clean. It was in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Had all the amenities you need for a nice stay. Great location near amenities.
Location was great and our family had a good time. The house was well stocked with everything. Maura was lovely to deal with & very helpful. However the house is very tired and cleaning service could do a better job.
The property is as described and fairly priced for Vail. It is on the edge of National forest land with great hiking just out the door. Maura was attentive and accessible throughout our stay.
For skiing at Vail, we ended up driving and/or having granddad shuttle everyone to and from Lions Head or Cascade lift as the bus stop that is closest to the house is still quite a hike- especially for kids.
Overall very nice stay.
This place is amazing!! Kevin and Maura were some of the best hosts we have had, truly great people who work hard to add a personal touch to hosting. They were available with excellent recommendations for dining and things to do in Vail. Their location is perfectly peaceful but still close enough to nightlife if you feel like a bit of Vail entertainment. Very comfortable beds, kitchens equipped with anything you could possibly need and in excellent condition, Fireplace, Hot Tub and TV with all stations so that we could watch Sports. Showers had good water pressure, shampoo etc, wifi that actually worked. I will stay here the next time I am in Vail.
This property was wonderful for our family group of 11. The kitchen was well stocked, there were more than enough beds and we love that there were five bathrooms in the house!! Also, TV’s in every room and hot tub for apes ski. It was comfortable and close to everything we needed! Owner was also great about responding quickly to any questions. It all made for a nice vacation!
It was wonderful. We had our family Christmas time. It was close to Edwards where we enjoyed a sleigh ride. The place was 3levels which was nice with Grandkids from 2-14.
Would recommend to everyone!
My wife and I have been staying here for years.
Maura & The Crawford’s have been fantastic hosts. Very accommodating and make the process seamless.
House is always clean and has everything you need to enjoy a family vacation.
Hot Tub, Wood Burning fire place, movie room, views from every room, and a ton of space. The best part is the trail that connects to Lionshead and Vail Village steps from the home.
We love Vail and will continue to lodge at this property for our family vacations!
There was so much room for 13 including a toddler and baby. With multi level be map time was great. We absolutely loved the house and all of the surroundings. Ideal location to the ski hill grocery store and various activities. We enjoyed every minute of our stay anti was so glad we found such a beautiful spacious home. We utilized the hot tub, sleds for the kid’s, laundry, gas grill, just to mention a few things. The owners we very responsive when we had questions or concerns. The owners went out of their way to provide recommendations for ski rental, groceries and favorite restaurants. I would go back to this property in a heartbeat. ❤️❤️❤️
A group of 12 of us stayed in this home over MLK weekend! Maura was incredibly helpful, gave us very clear and easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out, and the house was wonderful! Full working fire place and hot tub, great kitchen with a massive dining table for the whole group to come together for dinner! The location is great, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! I would highly recommend this property!

Our family lived in Vail from 2004-2005 while my husband did a sports fellowship with the Steadman Hawkins clinic. At the end of the year, Vail was in all of our blood and we knew we couldn't say goodbye for good. We loved the home we lived in for the year - warm, spacious, removed from highway noise, on a quiet cul-de-sac backing up to national forest which was awesome for hikes in the summer and fall, and just 2 miles from Vail village. Fortunately, the owners agreed to sell the house to us! We now live in Texas but love getting back to Vail every chance we get - regardless of season!
Why they chose this property
Vail is the most amazing ski mountain in all of north america. We chose this house in particular because it backs up to national forest (great for hiking and snow shoeing), is close to a great park, and is high enough up the mountain that the noise and sight of I70 are not factors.
What makes this property unique
wonderful mountain views, hiking path right out back door, quiet cul-de-sac (no highway noise), roomy, two separate masters, media room, nice porch for outdoor dining and grilling, wood-burning fireplace, well-stocked kitchen, private hot tub, two miles from Vail village.
