This country house from the beginning of the 19th century is located in the southern Ardèche (20km south of the Ardèche gorges). it is a large family home which benefits from an exceptional environment: the micro climate which reigns there will enchant you (no mistral !!!). It is ideal for spending a family holiday not overlooked but near a charming village (chief town of the canton) with its many shops (fashion, bakers, butchers, delicatessens, caterers, supermarkets etc ...) , its hippie market, its cafes, its restaurants, its chassezac river at 300m etc ...
the sports and cultural activities are endless, rich and varied.

Great house and Great location

We spent an amazing week on this house it's a very relaxing place with lots of space and activities to do around. Les Vans city center is just 5 minutes walks. Also thank you to the tenant for being flexible, very friendly and reachable during our stay.

Lovely relaxing place for a family holiday with young grandchildren, who all really enjoyed the pool. Short walk into local small town with a few bars restaurants and local shops. Large supermarket 7 to 10 minutes drive. Ideal for a relaxing quite week.

Beautiful property

Lovely spacious house with well cared for grounds and a lovely pool. There is a second fridge (in the outside bathroom) which was really handy for keeping all our drinks. Ample parking and secure grounds. The only negative is that the kitchen is small so not much work space if you're trying to cook for 18. But it didn't bother us as we generally used the very efficient gas bbq or walked to the village and ate out.

Mooie locatie ( wel drukke baan er naast) Grote mooie tuin met prima zwembad ( wel niet erg handig voor kleine kinderen) Ruim uitgeruste keuken ( weliswaar wel wat chaotisch geordend) met prima BBQ en Plancha , heerlijk om buiten te eten aan de mooie zeer grote tafel. Mooie wandelingen en fietsroutes in de buurt, evenals een riviertje, leuk voor de kids. Beperkte WiFi… voor zoveel personen. Douches zonder thermostatische kranen, niet zo handig.

Semaine aux Vans

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la Bastide des Vans. La maison était nickel lorsque nous sommes arrivés et très bien équipée. Marc et Roland ont été très réactifs pour nous répondre et nous aider pour régler un petit problème de lave vaisselle que nous avons eu. L'emplacement est également très appréciable puisqu'en 5 min à pieds nous étions dans les rues principales du village.

Loving Les Vans

La Bastide is a wonderful property, full of character and in an excellent location. The house, grounds and pool are great, with plenty of options for large groups. Bigger and even more fun than we were expecting from the photos. The town centre is a few minutes stroll down the hill, the river is nearby for swimming and kayaking through the gorge. Plus there is excellent rock climbing with a surprising amount of shade in the gorge too. Our hosts were really helpful and welcoming. It probably helped that we had French speakers in our party. We only scratched the surface for things to do and we loved it so much we will definitely be coming back.

Amazing property

We had an amazing stay in this property. The kitchen was very well stocked with equipment, the pool was amazing and well used as it didn't drop below 38 degrees the whole time we were there. Les Vans is a short walk and this accessibility to the town does come with nearness to a road. We would rent again.

Stunning property, fantastic for a large family holiday

Date stayed May 2022. There are so many words that could sum up what a wonderful property this is. Fantastic, Awesome, Amazing are but a few. 20 of us spent a week here with ages ranging from three 1 yr olds to 65. The amenities were exceptional especially in the kitchen. Every Pot, Pan etc you could ever need was at hand. The grounds and pool area were just perfect. Seating areas were plentiful for us all. Les Vans itself was wonderful and Carrefour too in which we visited every day!!! Would just like to say Thankyou so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home

Beau souvenir de vacances printanières

Une semaine très agréable en famille. L'espace entourant la Bastide est adapté à une grande famille - grande table extérieure, picine chauffée, table de ping-pong qui a eu particulièrment de succès, petite terrasse propice au Pilate ou Yoga. L'accueil et la remise des clés ont été sans problème et nous avons apprécié la réactivité du propriétaire face à quelques petits inconvénients à l'arrivée . Nous conseillons ce lieu.

Nous avons passé deux très belles semaines. La propriété est parfaitement adaptée pour des groupes d'amis et familles. Rien ne manque. Belles prestations. La proximité immédiate (5 minutes à pieds) des Vans est très appréciable et la région superbe. Bon contact avec le propriétaire et l'accueil parfait avec M. et Mme CHOLLET. Une belle maison dans laquelle chacun se sent à l'aise. Un endroit idéal pour les amoureux de nature

Qualité de l'accueil et des prestations. Une propriété telle qu'on aimerait l'avoir comme maison de famille. Un seul bémol: le bruit provenant de la route qui longe la maison. Mais nous y sommes revenus et y reviendrons sans doute.

Excellent séjour au coeur de Les Vans

Gîte avec beaucoup de charme situé à proximité du centre du village des Vans. Commerce accessible à pied et départ de randonnée au portillon. Gite très bien équipé aussi bien en vaisselle qu'en jeu d'extérieur (ping pong, flechettes...). Adapté pour les rassemblements nombreux!
