Mrs Jensen's Bakery Suite was once a neighborhood bakery in this historic district Victorian back in the 1920s. It has been renovated into a cozy and adorable 1920's style cottage suite with a bright, airy parlor, quaint kitchenette, private bathroom, and its own front patio with bistro table and flower boxes. It even has a roof top deck! Your stay includes great coffee, tea, welcome pastries, filtered water, cozy robes and slippers, fluffy Turkish towels, soaps and toiletries.

This was a super cool vintage space with cool pictures and history. We had everything we needed in this little home. It was also nice that there was a restaurant and little market within walking distance. Great neighborhood for looking at older homes.

Lovely little apartment in a beautiful neighborhood. Very comfortable for a short stay. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood looking at all of the old stately homes. Easy drive to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute, cute, cute! Location was amazing. Decor on pointe, exterior garden plants exquisite . Street parking. The shower is infuriatingly SMALL . I could not shave my legs while there. There were no welcome pastries or slippers, as listed… some cobwebs in light fixtures and rafters…not easy to charge your phone in bed and scroll because of where the outlet was… coffee was available and great. There were bananas, yogurts, microwaveable oatmeal, a few canned, nice sodas ( not the filtered water listed), and wafer cookies.

When we got information about our stay a couple days before check-in, parking was mentioned. It is on the street and not guaranteed. Upon arrival, we could tell parking would be an issue the whole trip. It was very crowded and the neighborhood did not feel safe. Once we checked in, we immediately noticed the place had a dog smell. We have stayed at VRBO's that are pet friendly before and never had an issue. We also noticed a cobweb right next to the table & chairs with a large spider in it. While trying to clean up the cobweb, we broke a small plate sitting on the table. We immediately let the owner know. After that, we found numerous other cobwebs and evidence spiders have been in the rental for some time. We did not feel safe staying, so we packed up our things and notified the owner we were leaving. She did come down after that and "clean up" the cobwebs and said it would be fine for us to come back. Just cleaning up the cobwebs doesn't mean you've taken care of the spider infestation. We have used VRBO for years and never had an issue so this was all very frustrating to us. The pictures on this listing are not accurate based on the lack of cleanliness we experienced and the front yard of the house/street area.

Gross exagerations. Anyone reading please look at ALL other reviews. A window had been left open and unfortunately a few daddy long legs spiders came in. These folks were disappointed with a two night refund for the spider issue and wanted all 6 nights refunded. There is NO dog smell... and the vast majority of guests LOVE the neighborhood. The parking on the street was explained to them.

Just a lovely little place that was much more comfortable than a typical hotel. Would certainly go back if we ever get to Tacoma again. Close to downtown and restaurants and sights.

This is very nice, cozy and comfortable spot that provided everything I needed. The location is perfect for walking around a great neighborhood, close to a park & dining, and close enough for walks to the water front. The host was friendly, showed how to work everything in the unit, and even left some snacks. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the location was very convenient for everything we wanted to do.
