This is very nice, cozy and comfortable spot that provided everything I needed. The location is perfect for walking around a great neighborhood, close to a park & dining, and close enough for walks to the water front. The host was friendly, showed how to work everything in the unit, and even left some snacks. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Everything about the place is excellent: cozy, private, clean and comfortable. The owner is kind, helpful and thoughtful. Many charming touches with decor and every practical item you need for light eating, bathing, entertainment and just relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood, considering that it is just four blocks from a thoroughfare. The only minor drawback is that the bed, though very comfortable, is tucked into a space so that only one side is available to get in and out (fine for a single sleeper). Next time I’ll bring a sleeping bag and sleep on the long and comfortable couch while my husband takes the bed. We will be happy to return to this place any time we come to Tacoma.
This is the perfect spot for all things Tacoma. The VRBO was exceptional, as was Carol! She was wonderful and attentive; responding quickly and kindly. We can’t wait to visit again!

Cute small space
It was a lovely space, small yet very comfortable.
The overall stay was spectacular, only complaint would be for the placement of the bed, I had to crawl over my partner to get to the bathroom at night.
As soon as we walked up to the property, the charming neighborhood and vintage architecture won us over! We absolutely loved how cozy the little studio apartment was. It felt like a dollhouse! One of our favorite features was the vintage sink and kitchenette. We thank the host for being so hospitable and sharing this rare gem in history with her guests!
This was our 1st time on the west coast and our 1st stop on a 2 week vacation traveling the Washington, Oregon, and California coast. We loved this town the most of all. This VRBO is very quaint and quiet with friendly neighbors. There is a neighborhood establishment to have a drink and food a block away that was very friendly. There are many other places that are easy to walk to. The host lives upstairs and easy to contact. She only offers keys on a chain to wear on your wrist and the door remains locked, and we did lock ourself out when sitting on the patio. She had to come down to open the door, putting a lock box on the front door would eliminate that issue.
Clean space. Cozy. Great location for us! (The review asked us to rate the Winery. There is/was no winery. Dumb question that I had to answer to leave a review.)
This was the absolute cutest place we could have stayed! The space was clean, adorably decorated, comfortable, and an overall delight! I was in the area for an interview at UW Tacoma. It was easy to get to everything, especially the downtown area to check out shops and restaurants. Our hostess was so lovely and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend! And if I wasn't moving to the area, I'd stay here again :)
This beautiful cottage was oozing charm. The 1920s bakery turned cottage was the nicest vacation rental we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. We have stayed in vacation rentals from England to Australia and none had the coziness and charm that this lovely cottage has. We strongly recommend anyone traveling to the greater Tacoma area to give this place a try. As VRBO owners ourselves we will definitely be returning guests.
Beautiful little antique parlor with comfortable bed, hot shower, and privacy from neighbors

Unacceptable bed set up
Bed situated against the wall made it tough when you had to use bathroom in middle of night. If we had known the bed situation we would not have booked
So clean and so much thought put into a small but well-appointed place. Bed niche was cozy and comfy. If you need to sleep separately, you could sleep on the roomy couch. Property has a unique history as a home bakery and the owner has decorated with nostalgia (I actually found a little Chaucer to read!).The little kitchen is well equipped with utensils, appliances and treats. The living room is spacious and well lit, and the bathroom is sparkling and convenient to the bed. Location is quiet and walkable, but do research to find food. Owner most helpful, understanding and kind. Would be glad to return there if we return to Tacoma. Recommendations: Happy Hour at Primo Grill (good food) on 6th, and the Antique Sandwich Company up in Ruston. Five-star experience all around.
We had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy, and the location was very convenient for everything we wanted to do. Carol was such a sweet and thoughtful host—her hospitality made our stay even better. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
