Newly renovated Victorian style apt (on 2nd floor) with a lot of charms and a hideaway deck. Right in downtown, walkable to everywhere, 5 min to island explorer/bus stop, Village green, library, museum, historical churches, kids playground, many restaurants, and more. - A plus for this one-bedroom apt is that it has a separate living room space with a door (can be used as a second bedroom), which allows visitors to have their privacy. The sofa bed is a full size (recommended for no more than 140 pounds for your own comfort ) - Outdoor space with table and chairs - The apartment located on the 2nd floor - Off-street parking - Laundry room is on the first floor which is a corner room next to the stairway. *** ATTENTION to off-season guests (Nov to April) Laundry: No laundry. We enjoyed our stay at the cozy, nicely decorated apartment. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty seating in kitchen and living room. The host was accessible if needed
This modest apartment in town had everything we needed and was so convenient. All the best restaurants were within walking distance as well as the harbor itself. It is so close to the park you can rent bikes in town and bike from there
We enjoyed staying here very much. Location was great. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Ruddy responded quickly to our inquiry about what to do over a matter. We were able to easily walk downtown and enjoy the shops, parks, bakeries, and wonderful views! Easy access to Acadia National Park.

Thank you for your kind message! We look forward to hosting you again and appreciate how you respected and maintained the place during your stay.
The property is in a good location and very walkable to the downtown area. The layout of the rooms is very workable with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. The owner Ruddy is very responsive to any questions or concerns.
Nice, comfortable, and convenient apartment in a good location.
We had easy walks to downtown while also having backstreet access to the apartment and Acadia NP. The weather was hot and there was no a/c, but with the fans provided and cooler evenings, it was not a real problem.
Ruddy's apartment was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to rest during our vacation in Bar Harbor. The location is fabulous (a short walk to the heart of town) and it was a very quick drive to any sights we wanted to see at Acadia National Park. In addition to the location, the apartment was clean and there was lots of space for us to spread out while we were there. The patio was perfect for eating breakfast, reading a book, etc.
I would highly recommend! It was very reasonably priced for the location and privacy.

Property Pictures are Outdated!
Rented the second floor apartment because of the deck. Not only does it not have any view (except a rundown neighborhood), there is no longer a tree or vine near the deck to provide privacy. Recycling was kept on the deck and the furniture was too dirty to sit on. The kitchen is so small that the refrigerator could not be opened without moving a chair. and it was lacking in basic pots and pans, I had to purchase a baking sheet to cook. Also, a note said we shouldn't use two of the burners on the stove because it would damage cabinets.
I have never written a negative review but the description of this place was misleading. I am glad that we were able to spend most of our time hiking in Acadia National Park!

Hi Delancey,
I’m very sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience at my place. This is the first time we've received such a low review, and having run this business for over four years on another platform, I take your feedback very seriously. I will look into each issue you mentioned:
1. **Trees and Yard Photos:** Just before your arrival, we had a tree company trim the vines and cut down some unhealthy trees. I apologize for not updating the yard photos, as we have been traveling.
2. **Kitchen Space:** While the kitchen is indeed compact, there should be enough room to walk around if the table is positioned correctly. Moving it slightly toward the side door usually helps. We haven't had complaints about this before.
3. **Pots, Pans, and Bakeware:** The pots and pans are located on the upper shelf of the lower cabinets. The baking sheets are in the lower section of the oven, and there are two sets of glass bakeware in the cabinets to your right.
4. **Outdoor Furniture:** The outdoor table has a metal frame and glass top, and while the metal chairs have some rust at the feet and the cushions are faded, it's a challenge to avoid this wear and tear.
5. **Recycling Bin:** The recycling bin is designated for bottles only and is placed for your unit’s convenience. It doesn’t have any smell, so I’m unsure of the issue here.
6. **Burner Note:** I will look into the incorrect note about the burners. This was not an instruction from me, and I did not expect the house caretaker to add it without informing me. I apologize for any inconvenience this caused.
I respect your opinion and thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. I wish you had communicated with us during your stay, as we would have done our best to address your concerns.
Thank you again for the opportunity to improve.
Best regards,
Ruddy
