I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the home! I apologize that you found the directions for the back gate entry confusing. The back gate keypad began malfunctioning just before your arrival. I removed the lock and replaced it with a temporary lock to avoid guests being locked out. The manufacturer is replacing the lock, and I am awaiting the arrival of the new lock. The temporary lock does not have a locking mechanism so I had thought the operations would be easily understood. I apologize that was not the case. Holly, I'm sorry to hear that you were less than 100% satisfied and wish that you would've reached out. Over the course of nearly a decade of operations, we've consistently received exceptional ratings for the quality, comfort, and cleanliness of our homes. The bedding in this home is relatively new and the same bedding, including linens, pillows, and mattress, that is used in Intercontinental Hotels worldwide. Our housekeepers typically leave the AC on, to an elevated temperature when not occupied. We do the same at our own home. I'm not sure if they accidently turned it off, or if the temperature limit wasn't to your liking. Either way, since we didn't hear about this concern, I have to assume that the home cooled down properly and the balance of your stay was comfortable. The configuration of the property is clearly listed in our posting, including an arial map showing the two units, their respective outdoor areas, shared amenities, and parking. Sorry if this wasn't clear...I'm not sure how to better explain. While often seen as a plus, I understand that some people are more sensitive to fragrances than others. Our apologies that this was a detractor. If we would've been notified, we could have provided directions to unplug the Glade air freshener, or come by the property to assist in doing so. Relative to the noisy neighbors, we did receive your message on that topic and the noise was addressed within minutes. At 10:30 PM, on a weekend night, during the busy summer season, there's always a chance of neighboring noise and chatter. This is a function of being in a dense environment. As noted in many of the 100s of 5 star reviews received by The Urban Nest, our location is overall a quite setting with exceptional access to DT Oceanside and its attractions. Sorry that these concerns had such a material impact on your stay, prompting a substandard review.

Good Afternoon Michael, Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear overall your experience was a good one! In terms of the wifi, it is true we closely monitor the wifi signal in the home as it is the utmost importance to most of our guests. When there is a problem (in your case a loss of power), we are alerted. I apologize if the light was a nuisance. We have reduced the light to its lowest setting. As far as parking, I am pleased to hear that parking was readily available for the majority of your trip. This has consistently been our experience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the two incidents when you had to park a block away. It remains our goal to have on-site parking available by the fall of this year!
