Cottage was clean, easy to find, and did decent fishing from dock (catfish, small redfish, small black drum, eel, could see trout & looked to be a good flounder spot). It was only about 5 minutes from St. George Island which was perfect for me. I love the beaches of St. George Island.
We absolutely loved the little house. It was just the right size for two of us. Easy access to St. George’s Island. We would go to the beach then come back to clean up and head back to the island for dinner without being gone for hours. We sat on the little porch and enjoyed the peace of the water. It’s was wonderful.
Absolutely amazing stay. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with stunning views. There is NOT one negative comment i can say except my regret is to not of stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay here and you’re most definitely welcome back.
This property is a brand new endeavor for the owners. You could tell immediately how prideful they are of their operation. They went over and beyond to be entirely accommodating. I can’t say enough of how pleased we were with our stay. Simply put, we WILL be back!!

Thank you so much for the kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed yourself. You’re welcome back anytime. Sincerely, Susan!
Kinda Cute but way overpriced, surroundings fixtures ehh
We drove through really great looking properties to get to this one and it’s like we crossed an invisible line to a not-so great neighborhood. The water was pretty in the daytime but the water was too shallow to actually successfully fish from the dock. At night the tide went out and the shoreline is covered in oysters and smells very badly. We rented this place so we didn’t have to leave but we had to in order to catch fish. The house was cute but definitely didn’t feel very secure. The bathroom door didn’t shut well and no locks on bedroom door. No coffee or shampoo provided. For less money this might be ok but What was charged is unacceptable. No instructions given for checkin before I contacted. Also no checkout instructions so I hope I did everything expected. I would not stay here again.

First we want to offer our sincere apologies that the property was not what you expected even though all of our reviews from our past guests seem to have had a great experience at our cottages. As you know, they are located on the bay in a quaint little working fishing village and surrounded by local businesses and houses. Certainly not a resort or upscale hotel that you may be accustomed to.
While not trying to diminish the issues you describe, I would like to address a couple.
After checking out the things you mentioned, I’m not sure what smell you’re talking about? I’ve never noticed nor have I received any complaints concerning any offensive smells. As for the fishing, unfortunately we can’t promise that guests will always catch any. Some catch a few. Some catch many and some catch none.
While we’ve not had anyone voice concerns with the lack of locks on the bedroom doors we take all suggestions seriously. Like every business we don’t relish in getting unfavorable reviews. If we do, we look at them as opportunities to improve our properties.
We do hope you will visit us again and enjoy the simple life, what locals call Paradise.
Great stay! There was once a negative review about the smell, but if you are an ocean lover like we are, I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s the real deal on the banks of the bay where you have sea life galore. Low tide, high tide, you get to see it all. Open the sliding glass door from 50 feet to the bank and let it in. The host has been amazing!
We pulled our pontoon boat to the cottage, but there are pontoon rentals from the launch next door.
Enjoyed a day of scalloping and a delicious dinner made with the catch. It was hard work, but lots of fun.
Enjoyed this place. Beautiful water view. Quick & easy access to the beach. Clean! Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of towels (and they checked in with us to see if we needed more). Quiet location. Would stay here again & would definitely recommend!
Had a great little stay at the cottage. Very clean and had a nice view of the bay! So easy to get to St George and Apalachicoloa! Seafood market next door is AMAZING! We went 3 times to get fresh seafood! Communication with owner was wonderful! She is very responsive to messages sent.
Clean and smelled fresh, everything in working order, host (actually her daughter) readily available for questions, ocean decor that was relaxing, enjoyed the daily Keurig coffee on the deck, beautiful birds who came to visit all day. Perfect.
The cottage was so nice, clean and right there on the water.. just what I wanted.. Had everything we needed and more. It was great having so many towels, washcloths, blankets and a stocked kitchen... lLoved that there was a dock, grill, fire pit, hammock and kayaks for use!! What else could you want!? Not far at all from St George (beach with beautiful houses and wonderful places to eat) over one bridge. Then, over another was the downtown Appalachicola are. GREAT food, cool shops, great to walk around….Our host was wonderful to offer suggestions when we reached out to her.. Also so nice of her to allow us to do a late check out when we asked. She was GREAT..loved watching the little boys from the seafood market next door fish, so sweet. We would recommend!! Thank you for everything!!
