Quiet, but not out of the way

This villa is well located. Everything you need for your daily needs can be found in a 1000m area. The villa apparently has a new owner who is trying to remove existing investment backlogs. Minor defects in the house were repaired really quickly. There is enough space in the villa for 8 people, with the showers being very small. The rubbish that was stored behind the house and in front of the main driveway bothered us. In fact, this will still be a result of the transfer of ownership. The owners are very accessible and really good hosts. There are numerous good taverns and restaurants nearby. A wonderful bay is just 5 minutes away by car. It is only a 15 minute walk to the beach. A car is actually needed.

We are a local family business based in Crete, passionate about offering authentic, high-quality stays that connect travelers with the true spirit of the island. Hosting is not just a service to us—it’s a way of sharing our culture, hospitality, and love for Cretan life.
We personally take care of every detail to ensure that our guests feel welcome, relaxed, and inspired. Whether it’s a small welcome treat or sharing local tips, we’re always happy to help create lasting memories.

Why they chose this property

Stavromenos is a peaceful seaside village nestled between olive groves and the sparkling Cretan Sea. We chose this location because it offers the perfect balance between serenity and convenience — just 13 km from Rethymno and close to some of the island’s most scenic beaches and cultural landmarks.

Guests enjoy the majestic sea views and the calm natural surroundings, while also benefiting from easy access to everyday essentials: within 300 meters to 1 km, you’ll find a supermarket, pharmacy, gas station, bakery, and more.

The area is also ideal for those attending nearby events and celebrations, with renowned venues such as Agreco Farm and Paraplus just a short drive away. During the summer, you can often enjoy Cretan nights with live music and local delicacies in nearby villages — a true taste of Crete’s festive soul.

Another highlight is its central position on the island: both Chania and Heraklion airports are about 1 hour and 10 minutes away, making Villa Argiris an ideal home base to explore the region — or simply to unwind by the sea.

What makes this property unique

Villa Argiris offers a rare combination: panoramic sea views, total privacy, traditional rustic charm, and modern comforts — all in a beautifully preserved corner of Crete.
What makes it truly special is the connection to nature: olive trees all around, natural stone architecture, and outdoor spaces designed for shared moments — a BBQ, a wood-fired oven, and a private pool overlooking the sea. It’s more than a stay — it’s an experience of authentic, slow-paced Cretan living.
