The place was spotless and ready to go. Neighbors are close, but everyone was respectful and quiet. The Wi-Fi was unable to access, and the instructions on how to access it are very unclear.
My husband and our pups had a lovely long weekend. The house worked great for us, was close to everything. We especially lived the large yard.

Thank you for your stay at Aunt Susie’s Vacation Rentals. We hope you enjoyed your stay as much as we enjoyed you staying with us! Hope to see you again soon.
Check in process was simple and easy. I stayed for the weekend and I enjoyed it very much! It is a very nice place to get away from the city. Close to Raystown lake and good fishing. Will return in the future! Thanks Aunt Susie’s!
Great little cabin for me and my girlfriend to get away for the weekend. It was great having a grill on the deck to use. Great proximity to Snyder's run to go kayaking. Also really enjoyed the tranquility of the cabin location and spent the evening reading. 10/10 would come back.

Very clean. Easy access to lake. Very efficient. Nice quiet neighborhood. Just what we're looking for.
property was very clean and welcoming. We liked the art and photos and the flowers and the overall feel of the cottage. The heat was efficient and uniform. It is likely we will be back for future anniversaries or some other occasions. The area has a lot to see and experience even with the uncertain weather in mid-october.
Got there Wednesday. Nice little place. Thursday spent the day fishing on the lake. Got back Thursday night made Chicken on the grill. Slept in Friday and left around 1030. Really liked the place. Would definitely go back. Thank you.
Adequate home. Small but ok for my needs. Did not like that bathroom is on first floor and bedroom upstairs. Air conditioning was difficult to operate. I would use it again fir a single person
Only complaint is that the bedroom is not air conditioned directly as the other rooms in the house are. It relies on cool air to make its way through a door from the air conditioned hallway/ stairs. On a moderately warm day, temp in the low 80’s, it was stuffy and too warm in the bedroom to sleep comfortably. Otherwise, the house was clean and well kept, and the location was quiet and convenient.

Thank you for your constructive criticism. We do our best to try to explain how the thermostat works on the wall signs, however it can be difficult if you're not familiar with the home. We are happy to hear that you had a great time. Thank you for sharing your stay and we look forward to your next visit.
We were looking for a weekend escape near Raystown Lake for just my husband and I. Knowing that the weather would not be great, we wanted somewhere comfortable to be inside and we were concerned about being warm this time of year. The cottage was in the small quiet neighborhood of Hesston. Due to the slanted floors in the living room, it made it difficult to find a comfortable place to sit. The kitchen was fully equipped to meet all our needs. The conditioned well water made the showers soft, but it had an unpleasant sulfur taste. The heating system was a little difficult to figure out, but we stayed nice and cozy. With proper expectations, we would recommend no more than 2 or 3 to stay here for a quiet weekend getaway.

The cottage is very small and probably best suited for one person. The size would not have been a problem if we were there just to sleep.
When we arrived we found that we had to make our own beds (linens were provided). First time we’ve encountered that.
The bathroom was hard to find (hidden behind the refrigerator) and lacked hand towels. Wash cloths were not provided and we had to buy some in Huntingdon. We had to wash each dish before we used them because the were not clean. The couch also was quite soiled so we used a sheet to cover it up.
We did appreciate the ease of checking in, the clothesline outside and the fire pit. Overall though we were disappointed.

I’m sorry your stay wasn’t optimal
This is an efficient unit priced and as such.
Please compare it to a hotel room as the pricing is also inline.
We will look at the couch to see if it needs cleaned.
We did really enjoy our stay! We were surprised by three things:
1) Pleasant surprise that some of the things noted as not being available, actually were such as coffee filters and chairs around the fire pit. Unfortunately, it was too rainy and wet to use them.
2) We didn’t realize just how close this was to the locations that we planned to go to. It’s a perfect location!
3) We’ve never before actually been charged for the security deposit. Usually, there’s just a hold put on your account. Unfortunately, we still have not received it back and we left the place as clean or cleaner than when we arrived. Hopefully, we will see the deposit returned with the taxes that were also charged on the deposit. I have to submit this survey before the 7 to 10 business days is reached.
The Story Behind Aunt Susie’s HomesAunt Susie’s was never about buying houses. It was about creating places where memories could land and stay. Susie was the kind of person who always had the door open. Family, friends, and neighbors always had a seat at the table and a place to sleep. Her home wasn’t fancy, but it was full of warmth, laughter, and people who felt welcome. When she passed, she left behind something powerful. A reminder that the best moments happen when people slow down, come together, and feel like they belong. That is how Aunt Susie’s began. We didn’t set out to buy “rental properties.” We looked for places that felt like a deep breath. Homes with porches for morning coffee, fire pits for late-night stories, quiet woods, lake views, and space for families to reconnect. Each Aunt Susie’s home is chosen because it has something special. Something peaceful. Something that makes you pause and smile. We carefully restore and upgrade every home so it feels welcoming, comfortable, and cared for. From cozy beds and clean kitchens to fireplaces, grills, and thoughtful touches, we design each space as if Susie herself were inviting you in. Because in a way, she is. When you stay at an Aunt Susie’s home, you are not just booking a place to sleep. You are stepping into a space built for rest, connection, laughter, and memories. That is why we bought these homes. That is why we take care of them. And that is why guests come back again and again. Welcome to Aunt Susie’s. Where every stay feels like coming home.
