A beautiful house in an incredible setting, Montfort is a delightful village. Local restaurant not as good as hoped, but maybe we were unlucky when we ate there.

Montfort House

A lovely place to stay, nice to have lots of room inside and out with a great sized pool. Parking right outside with easy access to Sarlet and many Chateau’s in the surrounding area. All round a great place to use as a base in this part of the Dordogne.

Exceptional house in a stunning location

A beautiful stunning traditional house in the perfect location. The house has everything, the pool and the amazing views. We had a great time exploring the area with everything so close by. We would love to return.

A great week in the dordogne.

Fantastic. Terrific situation easy to get everywhere very central to lots of lovely villages and tourist spots. The house was delightful and the garden and pool fantastic.

Welcoming house in charming setting

We had a lovely stay in Montfort. The house is roomy and well equipped for a family visit. The village setting is beautiful with lovely strolls and views along the river and through walnut groves. A highlight of the property was the glorious garden, in full bloom in early June. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

The accommodation, pool and surrounding area were all lovely. The only disappointment was that the bakery was not open so we had to drive to a neighbouring village for bread etc.

Magnifique!

Very nice historical house. Sometimes a little noisy from the nearby street but all in all very acceptable. Fan in the main bedroom should be replaced as too noisy.

We have had a wonderful week here. The house is beautiful and strikes the perfect balance between old and new. It is well equipped with everything you would need for a stay away from home. The swimming pool was fantastic and a huge hit with the kids! All in all, the photos on the website don’t do it justice, this is a beautiful, characterful house at the foot of a very impressive chateau! The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the area. We loved it!

Maison agréable bien équipée.Cadre sympathique Accueil très bon et propreté impeccable de la maison Superbe jardin et piscine au top.On regrettera juste le manque d une climatisation dans les chambres, ce qui oblige à dormir fenêtre ouverte, avec l inconvénient des bruits de la route juste sous les fenêtres

Une maison extraordinaire dans une région exceptionnelle

Cette maison est parfaite. C’est une demeure ancienne au pied d’un château typique. De grandes chambres avec de la hauteur sous plafond qui permet de respirer. Une cuisine parfaitement équilibrée ainsi que salon et salle à manger. La piscine est excellente avec ce détail : à l’ombre d’un grand arbre durant l’après midi. Les enfants ont pu se baigner longuement sans avoir à les « tartiner » toutes les heures.L’accueil d’Elizabeth et Arthur fut parfait, à la fois pour la propreté de la maison, la disponibilité et pour les explications. Les conseils et en particulier de restos furent judicieux.La maison est idéalement située (15 mn de Sarlat, pratique pour aller y dîner), les commerces … Bref une maison parfaite pour découvrir une région unique. Merci pour le séjour, nous y retournerons sûrement.

Heerlijk huis

Een heerlijk huis van alle gemakken voorzien in een heel rustig dorpje met een restaurantje en een paar kleine artifact winkeltjes. Prima gelegen, vlakbij Sarlat voor de markt en boodschappen en langs de Dordogne rivier voor canoën en schilderachtige dorpjes en chateau’s.

Belle maison de famille en Périgord noir

L’accueil par Thomas fut très sympathique et chaleureux Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette belle demeure: elle est bien équipée, les pièces sont spacieuses et le jardin idéal pour décontracter au bord de la piscine Dans un rayon de 30 km, il y a beaucoup à découvrir Nous serions prêts à revenir car nous avons passer un séjour très agréable

Séjour relaxant

Maison agréable ,de caractère.Seul bémol manque de climatisation dans les chambres afin de pouvoir dormir les fenêtres fermées car beaucoup de circulation et le réveil se fait très tôt .Toutefois nous recommanderons votre maison

Lors de périodes de canicule, nous recommandons de fermer les volets et fenêtres tôt le matin, et durant toute la journée, afin que la maison conserve sa fraicheur que les murs trés épais favorisent. L'installation d'une climatisation dans notre maison datant du 17 iéme et 18iéme siecles serait peu efficiente.
