This luxurious villa is located within the 38 family-friendly acres of the Honua Kai Resort & Spa, designed with relaxation and memory-making in mind, offering guests an unmatched resort experience while proving residential living at its finest. This villa boasts over 2047 sq.ft. of contemporary interior living space with expansive western windows that open up to a wide lanai, providing your family with plenty of room to enjoy the Maui lifestyle.

Spend your days at your enclave’s private pool and hot-tub located amongst the luxurious Hawaiian gardens or take a very short stroll to the world famous Kaanapali beach, or aquatic playgrounds of the Honua Kai resort.  Experience world class dining, shopping and golf within minutes leaving your villa by visiting Whaler’s village and the Kaanapali and Kapalua golf courses. 

This top floor villa will provide you with the privacy to relax in your lanai while enjoying the views of your garden enclave. The residence is fully furnished with everything you need for a luxurious Maui vacation and a gourmet kitchen to prepare your favorite family meals.  The Lanai is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ and plenty of lounging and dining space for the entire family. The residence also includes a private garage and an ensuite full size washer and dryer.

Resort amenities include a network of swimming pools, waterfalls and children’s shallow pool, 24 hour fitness facility, Duke’s beach house restaurant, and Whaler’s general store and Spa. Please note due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, resort amenities may be subject to change or closure.

TAX
The State of Hawaii mandates a total tax of 17.962%. Excise tax is 4.172% and Transient Tax is 13.25% effective as of November 1, 2021 to be paid on all transient accommodations. Taxes are identified on the reservation confirmation (Subject to change). (The higher rate of 17.962% applies to all departures starting 1/1/2024 regardless of when the property was booked.

Taxes are paid to the state of Hawaii and County of Maui based on the guest’s dates of stay. Any changes to the current tax rate will be charged or refunded to the guests depending on the increase or decrease.

OCCUPANCY:
Additional Guests of any age (infants and toddlers included) are strictly prohibited without prior approval. If approved, a fee of $100+tax per day will be added to the reservation for each additional guest.

We have a collection of beautiful 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condos in the Hokulani and Konea towers along with several gorgeous Luana Garden villas within the Honua Kai resort.

Resort has a NO PET policy.

CANCELLATION:
Cancellation outside a 60-day period prior to arrival is subject to a 10% (of total) cancellation fee. Any cancellations made within the 60-day period may result in forfeiture of all monies paid. Please review the listing Terms and Conditions for more information. We highly recommend that all guests purchase a travel insurance policy. Cancelation policy is strictly enforced. All credit cards fees will be deducted before a refund is issued.

This place is safe, comfy, and has great furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, and is right by the beach. Plus, it has a nice resort facility, is close to a food court, restaurant, and secure garage, and is just a short walk away. Check-in and check-out process are super easy. I’m planning to come back someday. Thanks!

Beautiful, well maintained condo. Well stocked kitchen with high end appliances. The garage is a huge bonus. Well laid out with tons of space for a larger family. Perfect spot on the island with shopping and restaurants all right by you. Beach and pools right outside your door. The lanai overlooking the pool was amazing! Great communication as well with owner. Don’t hesitate to book this place. Amazing!

Relaxation -lanai was perfect

We loved the place… comfortable rooms and beds, clean and welcoming gathering area… large lanai with nice, comfortable seating and a view of the pool’s waterfall. The pool area was great, often had it to ourselves. Beach chairs were appreciated as we tooked them on our all trips to the beaches.

Although we made a memorable family vacation, the property failed in a lot of areas.1. The host did not list any of the broken and non-functional items.2. Check in: I received the instructions for the gate & front door entries, however, following the day prior to departure, I received another code instructions which was different from the first instructions. 2. During the stay:REFRIGERATOR: the first day the refrigerator auto ice machine and water dispenser was broken/unoperable. She had to call in the repairman to check it out. It took him about an hour and we were told that he can not repair it as he has to order the parts. HOOD LIGHT: We asked him to check the hood light and he does not know how to fix it.PATIO SCREEN DOOR: Then I texted her that we cannot open the patio screen door because it has a key lock. She replied that unfortunately it cannot be fix. The vendor can no longer find the parts so it had to be locked. BEDROOM SINK: I also texted her as well that the sink in the one of the main bedrooms is clogged. It's draining very slow that it fills up the sink with water about 2/3 of the way. BEACH UMBRELLAS: The next day, I was not informed that the beach umbrellas were broken from the previous renters. We didn't find out until we got to the beach with the full wagon cart and the beach rental shack was already closed for renting.NOTE: NOT WORTH THE STRESS & MONEY

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a memorable family vacation. However, we would like to clarify several points in your review for future guests. At checkout, you told us that you had a memorable vacation, enjoyed your stay, and looked forward to coming back. The refrigerator ice maker stopped working the afternoon of check-in. We do not advertise an ice maker as an amenity, and the new refrigerators in our villas are approximately 3.5 years old. We provide ice trays in the freezers for guests' use. Nevertheless, as soon as we were notified, we contacted an appliance repair company, who inspected the ice maker during your stay with your permission. Unfortunately, a replacement part had to be ordered. We explained this to you at the time, and you indicated that you were okay with the situation. Regarding the range hood light, we checked it and found that it was working properly. We are not sure what you are referring to regarding receiving a second or different entry code. Our villas have smart locks, and once a reservation is entered into the system, the entry code is automatically generated. Regarding the patio screen door, all of the villas in our resort have locked screen doors because the vendor is no longer able to locate the necessary replacement parts. Property managers throughout the resort have had to keep these doors locked for the same reason. One of the bedroom sinks began draining slowly during your stay. Once you notified us, we arranged to have it unclogged as soon as possible. We do not provide beach umbrellas as part of our villa amenities. A previous guest apparently left an umbrella in the garage closet, and unfortunately, our cleaner and inspector did not notice it and remove it. Once you told us that you had seen the umbrella and expected to use it, we arranged to have new umbrellas delivered to you. We take great care of our properties and make every effort to respond promptly when an issue arises. Unfortunately, being on an island means that certain appliance and maintenance parts are not always immediately available, and repairs can sometimes take one to two weeks when a part must be ordered. We disclose this in our listings. We also want to clarify that several weeks after checkout, you requested a refund, which we declined. This 2-star review was posted immediately after we declined the refund request. We pride ourselves on providing well-maintained, high-quality vacation homes and excellent customer service. Our other reviews consistently reflect the care we put into our properties and our commitment to our guests. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, but we believe it is important for future guests to have the complete context regarding the issues mentioned in this review.

Perfection

Perfect setup for our family. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living, and patio area was the ideal setup for our trip. Our family which included an infant never felt closed in being the home was setup for all to already out and relax. We were able to hit the beach and restaurant there at the resort and also felt it was great location for days we wandered away. I highly recommend this home for any Maui trip. Thanks for the stay…

Maui 2023 family vacation

This was our first time to bring our kids with us to Maui. The property was more than perfect! We had a pool just outside the back of the property and we were close to the beach, actually close to everything we needed. Renting paddle boards was beyond easy. Almost across the street and having a garage made it so easy. The Renatas company brought the paddle boards, surf boards, body boards, snorkel gear and dropped these things off right inside our garage. They would even pick everything up if needed. I would recommend this place to anyone !! Great trip !! Thank you so so much !!

This rental surpassed all expectations!

We were initially set on an option with an ocean view but kept reading good things about the garden villas at Honua Kai — particularly for families. In hindsight, we are so happy with our choice and this rental. The best features were 1) all the space and third bedroom, 2) reserved parking directly out your door, secluded pool and hot tub directly down the steps from large lanai. Our kids enjoyed the access and close proximity to other pools on property and ocean front but ultimately spent most of their time in the villa’s pool. In addition to reserved parking spot, there is a garage for unit that contained beach chairs, sand toys and swimming floating board that the kids made great use of. Whether it was grilling burgers on the lanai or eating at the island or large table in cool air conditioning, this unit has it all and makes for great home base while exploring Maui. As an added bonus, wrist bands are provided to guests to utilize the hotels towel vending service at no additional charge. This may very well have been a once in a lifetime trip to Maui for our family — but if we were to return someday, we would definitely look to rent this unit again. The customer service was top notch and documentation made check in and out a breeze. This was so very much appreciated as it got our vacation off on the right foot and made for stress free departure as well. Thanks for the most wonderful stay! Dan

Great villa with excellent location

Family vacation for 5 adults worked perfectly in this lovely 3 bed, 3 bath villa. Pool was right outside our door. Nice balcony, walking distance to grocery store. Owner always responded quickly. We had all we needed.

Exceeded our expectations

The Villas here are a great option and we found it better than the towers. The villas are very spacious and ability to park outside your unit with a garage to store the beach toys. The villas are all identical but what separates this listing is the management - Super responsive and we had everything we needed. This home was very clean and well appointed. We also liked the location much better than the south side of the island.

Wonderful Place to Stay!

Villa 9D was amazing! Super close to the the great Kaanapali beach. The pool closest to our Villa was also super nice and private. Having access to the Hanua Kai Resort and Spa facilities was a major plus--especially the main pools and hot tub areas. Dinner at Duke's had amazing food and amazing sunset views! I would highly recommend this residence to anyone heading to Maui. 6 of us fit very comfortably in the villa. Thank you KLVR!--Matt B

Beautiful Maui Villa

Our stay at Honua Kai could not have been better. The location can’t be beat. We were a 5 minute walk to the beach with our own pool steps from our Lanai. The check in was easy, parking no problem, and our host was checking in with us to make sure everything was perfect. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen that was fully stocked with everything we needed for the week. We would love to come back!
