Nicely furnished with all the comforts of home, this condo is the perfect vacation spot for several couples or a group of friends seeking desert relaxation. Enjoy a spacious floor plan and a private balcony with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and desert. As a guest of the Vistoso Casitas, you'll also have access to a shared pool (heated to 82 degrees year-round), hot tub, and sun deck.

The Vistoso Casitas are close to countless beautiful desert hiking trails. Head over to Catalina State Park less than five miles east, where you'll have your choice of hiking trails across 5,500 acres of park land. Or, you could spend a day at Biosphere 2 (20 miles northeast) and take a tour of a rainforest. There are plentiful dining options nearby, whether you want local and casual or elegant fine dining.

Perfect location!

Beautiful panoramic view of Gulf, super clean, more than enough linens/towels, comfy bed, stocked kitchen. Such a wonderful condo!

The view from the balcony was outstanding! To watch the beach and the beautiful colored gulf water, the sunsets, all the activities surrounding SunDestin, how wonderful!

Summer Getaway

Clean unit! Nice view! Neighbors were loud but that isn’t vacasa’s fault. Could have used some blankets and the wifi doesn’t reach the master bedroom. Can’t beat it though with the great location.

Location is perfect! Sun Destin is a nice property wirh a great pool, hot tub, restaurant and beach front. The bed and the couch are horrible and very uncomfortable! Both need replaced! Lacked some kitchen cookware and a spatula. Overall we had a great time but that bed killed my back and hips.

Perfect Location

Check in was simple. The room itself needs a little work. The door to the balcony was very hard to get unlocked when we first got there so we never locked it back. The master toilet paper holder is non-existant. The second toilet needs tightened. The leather chair is in need of replacement. The location itself is perfect. The shop on the main floor has just about everything you would need if you didn't want to venture out of the hotel for souvenirs or basic food, snacks. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Gross

the whole resort was filthy. Dark, grimy, and smelled like it was rotting. The unit itself was also gross - we found a massive cockroach, there was a large hole where the cabinets meet the flooring, dust and grime all over the walls and decor. The pool was closed which was not disclosed in the rental, but thank god as this unit's balcony is directly adjacent and that wold have been noisy and ruined our privacy. The entire resort was also under construction which didn't bother me much but could be annoying if you are noise sensitive. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

SunDestin Room 203

The views from this room were incredible! Right above the pool & you can see beautiful views of the ocean & sunsets. The location was nice & the room had everything you would need. I’m not one to complain. However, we were not impressed with the cleanliness of this place. The floors were disgusting & the bathroom still had standing water in the tub with sand and black hair when we arrived. The bathroom/condo smelt like sewer the entire week. It was an awful smell. The bed didn’t even had a matte as protector on it. My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay but both couldn’t wait to get home to our own clean home. Nice place just needs some deep cleaning and lots of room for improvement!

Mediocre at best

It was incredibly disheartening to show up late off our plane ride in, only to not have enough blankets sheets and pillows for all of the occupants in my party. After the front desk attendant informed me they don’t provide linens or soap or coffee ect they provided me with a phone number to call for requests. No one came that night so we bought our own from Walmart. I did receive a refund once I submitted my receipts the same day, so that was appreciated. If you’re looking for a cheap way to vacation this is the way to go, just don't expect much. You get what you pay for.

Sundestin 203

We came to Destin for a vacation and wedding. We stayed in Sundestin 203. The unit is very small, outdated, and has no dresser (no room) to put your belongings. I was awakened early in the morning by the sounds of scratching and an animal running in the drop ceiling. We continued to hear and actually recorded the animal scratching and running sounds. We finally went down to the front desk and reported the issue. When we got back to our room later in the day we had a note on our door from maintenance that they had been to our room and set a trap. I did hear a snap later in the week and not sure if the animal was caught. The couch in the living room needs to be replaced as its dirty. The toilet was leaking and my husband fixed it.

Missed the mark, wish I had known

This is not our first visit to the Sun Destin. It in fact is my 5th in as many years and unfortunately the unit/property we stayed in this time missed the mark a bit. Overall cleanliness of floors and bathrooms was subpar. Quite literally a ring of filth on the flooring around the tub, and toilet. Leaving a black nasty substance that needed to be wiped up. Unfortunately the cleanliness issue didnt quite stop there. There is a very strong musty/mildewy smell when walking in the front door. We figured it might be because of the humidity and the air conditioning, but when we finally crawled into bed we realized most of the smell came from the bedroom bedding. You could smell the mustiness standing at the end of the bed. Since we arrived so late we called first thing on Monday morning the have the sheets and bedding replaced. Unfortunately we found out that the property is not managed by the onsite property management, but by Vacasa. We called them, and they promised to have clean bedding delivered by that afternoon. We didn't actually receive clean bedding until Tuesday, and by then Id gone to wal mart and grabbed blankets for the bed so we didnt have to smell the bedding. The bedding smelled as bad as you might think for either using front loaders that aren't clean and get that front loader smell, or having been left in the washer wet for some time. Don't get me wrong, I love Destin, and the Sun Destin, but I will make sure in the future that I book a unit that is managed on site as I know how responsive they are.

Overall great stay will be back!

We loved the location and everything the property had to offer! Staying on the second floor is the way to go! We never took the elevators. The security guards were timely when shutting down the pool right at 10pm, which was great for us staying right above the pool area. We had a great time and will be back!
