Welcome to the Garlands Getaways Whale's Tail studio at Top of the Gulf Resort in the desirable Thomas Drive-area has been completely remodelled. It sleeps 4 max and features a direct beach and pool view and free daily beach service in season.

Guests will enjoy 2 queen beds, dining table for 4, walk-in tiled shower, flatscreen TV with HD service, high-speed private WiFi, full-sized kitchen stocked with dishes, utensils, and appliances needed for snacks and meals, large, screened bay window that opens to hear, see and smell the surf; a floor-length window really lets you soak up the view (NO PRIVATE BALCONY), a loveseat, and seating at the window-front bar area perfect for a cup or coffee or catching up on email. And we provide starter amounts of soaps and paper products like tp, paper towels, and trash bags. (Please plan to bring/buy additional if your stay is longer than a couple of days.)

Avoid the crowds in this cozier complex (just 200 condos and 8 stories) that offers easy in and out and quick elevators. Top of the Gulf is one of the best-maintained complexes offering all the beachside amenities you want to complement your vacation. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous and the pool is stunning with a fun, oversized Adirondack chair and large swing alongside. A kids' pool is ideal for little ones, and ample NEW pool chairs are available. There is a fitness room with new equipment on property as well.

Getting to the sand is easy since Top of the Gulf is located directly on the beach.

Pool and surfside sits our Surf Snack Shack with a delicious menu of eats and drinks (open in season). Or you can grill up your own fare on the provided guest grills.

Laundry facilities are located throughout the complex, and there are large communal balconies on each level with seating to enjoy the view and the breeze.

Primary renter must be at least 21 years old, sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking, be present for the duration of the stay, and agree to a $200 damage deposit hold (not a charge) placed on a credit/debit card prior to arrival that will be released after his/her uneventful stay. A $30 fee is required by the Resort to be paid upon arrival. Guaranteed parking for one car; a second is possible depending on occupancy of the resort during your travel dates (highly unlikely in the summer) or there is a pay lot 1-2 miles away. The maximum guests allowed in the condo is 4. No pets, ESA, or visitors allowed.

So fantastic!!

Beautifully renovated condo with gorgeous views! Everything we needed was provided and it was so comfortable. Megan was a delight to communicate with and everything was so easy. My daughter and I loves our visit and would love to stay in this unit again!

Great Place right on the Beach

My husband and I stayed at Whale’s Tail over the New Year Holiday and it was just perfect. Great location and newly decorated with awesome view! Megan was very accommodating to us as we had a few hiccups with our trip and thought we were gonna have to cancel. Her recommendations for restaurants were great and there is even a book with menus and other things to do in the area. It was conveniently located to many good restaurants and Pier Park. We hope to be back again.

Amazing Condo and Communication!!

Let me first say, I never leave reviews, but Whale's Tail was amazing in every way, so I think it is well deserved! This condo exceeded our expectations! It has been updated with high end finishes and is beautifully decorated. The owners have thought ahead to provide everything needed for a pleasant stay. Communication was top notch. The beach service provided was such a convenient amenity. We will definitely be back!

Our tightknit family of 6 (+1 furry family member) lives in NE Atlanta and includes kids that range from high school to college plus two fun-loving parents who believe life by the water makes life in general better.

Why they chose this property

We love Panama City Beach and looked at many resorts before deciding where to purchase a condo. When we came to Top of the Gulf, we knew it was perfect. The smaller property is more intimate and offers beachside fun without massive crowds. The elevators are fast, the grounds are immaculate, the people are second to none. Top of the Gulf owners are like family and we loved the property as our home away from home.

What makes this property unique

Smaller complex with fast elevators, directly on the beach. We also offer guests free beach service as a bonus. Leave your chairs at home! The Resort also has a game room, internet lounge, laundry facilities, a gym, cornhole/shuffleboard court, snack shack, great pool and more.
